Update: This app has improved over the past few months. 360 View was spotty at first but seems to work most of the time now. I think there can be some UI improvements and I'd love to see options like opening windows and the ability to open the car with the app using proximity rather than having to request which has a significant delay. Would also like to see the scheduling have a little more flexibility or maybe just a timer "start car in 20 minutes".

It's getting better! The new update is great. However, the schedule feature does not work. When setting the temperature for a scheduled start it won't save a different temperature other than 72. Just being able to push start after saving your setting is awesome. Overall the app is still just buggy, but getting better.

I just bought a 2024 Kia Carnival and I am not able to use or 'schedule' the remote start feature. It's not dimmed or greyed out but when I go into it, it seems to freeze up and doesn't work. I should have access to everything. ANOTHER issue I have is the secondary driver access is useless! I don't get any notifications even when everything is turned on. My husband and I have to use the same login (primary) and we both get notifications. What's the use of a secondary driver of it doesn't work!!

Because I have a gas powered vehicle I don't have as many complaints but I have noticed a few areas for improvement. The app will almost always fail on first remote start and yes it takes too long for it to recognize the situation. Also, there was a recent update and now the app force closes after 20 seconds. The new layout is confusing and I wish the default time of running could be changed to 15 minutes, it would be a great feature to show a count down timer, and the outside temp.

App is useless, can't even lock or unlock the doors now (was able to do some time ago). Doesn't show drivers, their preferences, phones connected to the car, etc. I wasn't even able to get rid of the annoying reminder about "service due" which pops up every time you start the car, and continued so after the car was serviced. App has a looong way to go to measure up to Tesla's for example. And being able to lock doors is a safety feature absolutely necessary in the most basic app!

Lacks the ability to run the vehicle for a decent amount of time. Other remote states will run the engine for 45 to 60 minutes which is needed for.cold climates. 10 minutes is stupid and useless making you restart it several times to melt the ice. After talking to the app writers thier answer was just restart it. Stupid. I go out to the car and touch the brake pedal after using the remote start it will run for an hour. Why can't they make the remote start the same way? Again, STUPID.

If you want to pay $200/year for an app that only works about 60% of the time, then this is perfect for you. I have a remote start schedule setup and enabled, but at least once a week my car isn't started when it's supposed to be. No error saying it couldn't or anything. Just doesn't even try. Charging people as much as Kia does for an app that only works part of the time is very sketchy.

Edit 2: down to one star, two weeks of a support case open but no actual help and getting intermittent "We cannot process your request" error unable to even log in. Edit: The latest update is much better, and now shows estimated charge time remaining in the app! Still only 4/5 stars since the notification log times are still 3hrs off, you can see the trunk is open but not remotely close it in the app, and you can turn on heated steering wheel but not seat in app climate control.

The app is very inconsistent. It works and then it doesn't. My doors are all locked, my app says they are locked and I get continuous messages saying one of my doors isn't locked. When I go to the app it shows all doors are closed and locked. Won't be renewing this app if it continues with these glitches. Now I get notifications that the app has a bug. Very frustrating

The app has definitely improved in many ways and is very convenient to a kia driver, the ease of access, functionality from a distance, and car notifications make this app a must have. Still get notified that the car is unlocked even though I just got out and manually locked the doors. The app will also say Doors are closed/locked after, but I will still receive a notification 2 or 3 minutes later as if they were open. Galaxy Flip 3 5G

Once you adapt to what the dev thinks is a good GUI, the app is decent. But about kia, connections, etc. It fails 7 ot of 10 times. My 4 months ev6 started failing both key fobs (or thats what the dealer said), so while I wat for them to get new keys from who knows where i need to use the app to unlock the car and lock it. So when I arrive to a place and lock it with the app works great. Come back 5 minutes later to unlcok and app says that failed and literally says to move the car hahaha

This is an exceptional car app. It does EVERYTHING you would want. There is one problem. To save battery, the car turns off WiFi, and it can only be turned on by starting the car in person. it happen in about 5 days, so my monthly week-long travel makes the car disappear while I'm out of state. The car is in the garage, hooked to the charger. I charge it every 3 days to 100%, yet the car goes off-line in 5 days, fully charged. KIA can do better. Please!

Likely my final update - As nice as the rep was on the phone, she did confirm the heated seats feature associated with the app is no longer available. Definitely makes me reconsider renewing as well as very possibly cancelling the plan altogether. Request to contact Kia cannot be met. Link not available. And the frustration level increases... Feature no longer working - I used to be able to set my seats to warm using the app but this feature disappeared recently. Very frustrating.

I honestly hate that you have to pay to use the app to do any cool features with the car. after spending $70k on my car you'd think you'd just give it to me for free. locking my car with the app and being able to send maps from my phone to the car shouldn't be an extra charge when my car & phone have those built in capabilites. For the premium trim models these things should just be Included, also the app is so basic it's not even worth the price point anyway.

Cannot remote start then unlock with the app. It is annoying when I go to the gym because I like to only have my ear buds and phone. It's less to worry about but I'll make due. My biggest complaint is that the app crashes non stop and on start up. If it doesn't crash on start up it crashes after I press anything. I've restarted, cleared cache, forced close but nothing seems to fix it. EDIT: Didn't crash before the 3/24/2024 update.

It's got potential and still useful but it has too many bugs. One of which is criminally annoying. Unless you really want a geofence, know what it is and what you want to do with it, then don't play around with it. Once you create one you cannot delete it, and you will get app and IN-CAR notifications that will drive you nuts. I have figured out how to suppress the app notifications but the in-car ones still persist. I finally figured out to redefine the notification for "when entering" instea

And now it crashes when you launch the app! Great update! Normally basic features of charging status, battery level and lock status barely work, and it doesn't even show charging rate. There is no way the car isn't sending that info (and the location, etc) to their systems anyway, so that should always be free to the vehicle owner. Super sleazy to charge for that. Terrible UI and "features" like the ability to select if you want their marketing materials sent to your home, email, or SMS.

What the heck happened?! This app is crashing and not working. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and now I can't get the app reinstalled at all! Update: This issue has been fixed. My phone needed to be restarted and the app reinstalled. 5-23-24: App won't open. Even after clearing the cache, restarting the phone and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. It's completely useless.

Great car overall. Some small things I wish they would change, like being able to have the 1-pedal mode sticky (aggravating to have to set it each time I start the car), and wish you could set a third driver profile for seat adjustment. I love the charging speed, the seat comfort and adjustability, and the amount of inside space. The suspension is nicer than other EVs I've had, although there is some body roll when I hit some road bumps on just one side. Very reliable connecting to android auto.

App would be great if it wasn't so inaccurate. It constantly sends alerts that you left your car unlocked, even when you verify that it's locked. Also, there's no way to start the car with the climate set to "off", so starting remotely in winter is pointless. When started the fan is blowing full force, making the warm up take much longer. Definitely not spending that kind of money to renew.
