Simply the best game I've ever downloaded. The game mechanics are smooth and beautiful. The campaign is rich, engaging, and long - perfect for an offline game. It's simple to understand with enough variability to make mastery a challenge, giving it almost infinite replay ability. But despite all that, the best part is that there are no ads! I can't even begin to tell you how refreshing it is to finish a stage and not have your senses assaulted by an overly aggressive, obnoxious, and unwanted ad

If only all apps could replicate the replayability and balance of difficulty. I have come back to this game several times to replay just because it's fun to play through. With the right strategy you can play through all difficulties and levels without paying. One of the few games I wouldn't mind putting money into because they deserve it, not because you need to.

I've been playing TDs since the WinterMaul Wars (and before) days from the WC3 Map Editor; which, if you don't know, means basically the early 2000's. I've played a lot of the modern online TD's, including the Bloons, Toy Soldiers, and a host of others. This is by far the best. The levels (for the most part) are well balanced for each difficulty setting. They can be challenging, and possible solutions limited, but they are beatable without paying for gems to get special bonuses.

This game is great! I played through on easy level, there were no ads and it wasn't necessary to purchase anything. It's fairly simple gameplay and intuitive as well but there are enough options to offer diverse play styles. I made a purchase at the end just to show support since it's seems so rare to find a game that isn't pay to win. This one is worth a try if you like tower defense. One issue: if I paused a game and the phone went off, the game couldn't be revived.

Played this game multiple times before, both app and PC version (slightly prefer the latter). Literally just downloaded again to leave this review. This is the absolute king of tower defense games. By a huge margin. Not even close. You're never gonna look at other games of this genre the same. Everything from concept to visual design to sound is just excellent. I actually really enjoy the more playful, innocent optics. This game has character! Whoever came up with this is an absolute genius

One of the best tower defense games out there. The quirky animations and the well balanced enemies make this one of the more challenging games even at the least difficulty level. The unlockables do not require a grind and the currency is well awarded, which nets you the powerups during gameplay. The cartoony animations and their quality (sharpness, color etc.) are to be commended. The stages go up in difficulty within reason and the addition of different heroes only makes you define the gameplay on your terms. All in all, I went into this game thinking it will be one of the more generic tower defense games out there, but it really exceeded my expectations. Great work guys... keep 'em comin'!

Good game that is highly engaging and well designed, with enjoyable gameplay, slick graphics, and complete sound design. However, the problem is that there is just not enough of it. All of the campaigns can be beaten and all of the research tree unlocked in maybe 10 hours of gameplay. That for a game that is trying to sell additional unlockable features and characters is simply not enough content.

I remember this game from when I played it years ago, back in an age when Flash was supported. Upon finding out it had been moved to an app, I knew I had to download it and go through the nostalgia. The overall main game is enough to keep it interesting to the end, with maps having minor variances in mechanics along the way. The facts that the store is not required for the main game and that ads are 100% optional, they make this game, without a doubt, something to enjoy.

The only negative think I have to say for this game is it really requires you to think ahead and learn from your mistakes which is only negative if you want a quick no effort easy win. The game has a larger jump in difficulty than I expected and I absolutely love it. I think they're should be more towers instead of just unique final upgrades but even those keep you interested enough to not be bothered by having only four basic towers. I love the experience and the surprising curve in difficulty.

Beginning the line of famous TD games, the original Kingdom Rush is an amazing game. What sets this TD game apart from others is that it includes many features. First, the levels are special and are not repetitive with new enemies and new lands to defend. Second, the balance of the game is really good and generally simple to understand, yet allows for differing strategies. Third, this KR game gives a healthy sense of difficulty for the new levels after finishing the main campaign.

This game is awesome. No ads, little to no spending and great game play. Like others said, the levels do get quite difficult with time, but it makes for a challenging opportunity. The only dislike I have is that the hero gets selected by default(or by accident) when in a battle. I try to click on a tower and I get the X saying that I can't move my hero there, but All I wanted to do was to select the tower and not the hero.

Really, this is such a good tower defense, I would recommend it to pretty much everyone. There are no ads, very minimal monetization, and solid gameplay that will keep you occupied for a while. That being said, I have 2 smallish complaints 1. I wish your battles would save when you quit the app. As it is now, if your app fully closes you will have to restart the whole battle. 2. The difficulty curve is quite steep. I'm not really a TD pro, but I've had a lot of difficulty.

Great game. I've been playing for around 3 months and haven't experienced any kind of glitches, loss of progress, or lagging. Don't really have any ad interruptions or ads between levels. It's challenging and moves along quickly. Easy to understand, not too many things going on that cause distractions. The only issue some people might have is how challenging it can get. It feels like you have to buy items to defeat some levels. It's possible to beat them without purchases, but it gets hard.

This is the first legitimate tower defense game I've found on the play store. It plays just like the old flash games on the computer in my youth, and gives zero pressure to purchase anything. No ads, no hassles, just pure nostalgic enjoyment, which is refreshing in this day and age. Love it! Especially love all the little Easter eggs and hidden achievements you can find, it's so fun!

Loved it on armor games. Now its on my phone! Still lovin it! 8/27/17 Some years later I've decided to come back, but not with nostalgia but dread. All the other kingdom rush games are still pay to play, despite having some of the worst microtransactions in all of mobile. If the 2nd and 3rd games were made free, I'd completely understand, but all these years later you still have to pay to play the game on top of pay ridiculous amounts of money for the heros and other items. Make the games free.

Excellent game with good balance and fun heroes. Glad I happened across the first installment and I'm looking forward to the next ones. Previously, I gave the game a lower score after losing progress to a crash, but searching revealed that Android's Battery Optimization can cause such behavior when an app moves to the background. Edit: Still crashing. Game needs to auto-save on pause.

It's a very well-made game, with minimal ads, interesting and varied gameplay. It's definitely a big step above most mobile tower defense games. It's just really hard! Even on easy, I'm struggling to get past "the dark tower." I even followed the walkthrough (1st time this game) but enemies kept breaking past. I started to get really frustrated but eventually with the right upgrades I was able to continue. Definitely a good game for those who like a challenge.

I like the game so far it has a cool art style and is pretty fun. The ads are optional, which I love, and if you do watch an ad, it gives you 100 gems, which helps a decent amount. There is a good amount of strategy which surprised me. The reason why I didn't give this a 5 star is because it's pretty dang hard. I watch a lot of ads to get gems to help me, which does take away a little from the experience, though. This is genuinely a good game, and I would recommend you check it out.

Looking for a great Tower Defense game to lose myself in. Playing this on the PC Google Games Beta with no issues thus far. The theme of the game, the story has my attention. I want to be the strategic hero for them. Playing casual mode because I am in it for the fun. This is an early review of the game as I have just begun to explore the first few levels. I believe i will lose myself to the many levels to come.

I actually love the game, the art and difficulty. But anytime the game minimizes, crashes, or i have to get off my phone, i have to reset entire levels if i was in the middle of said level. I truly wish i could save in the middle of battle so that i could return when I'm able. it didnt frustrate me much at first but with the completed main campaign thing and trying my hand at the extra battles is very disappointing when the level is wiped. Waste of money, i dont think I'll be continuing it.
