Kittens Game has always rocked, and the Android version is no exception! There are a few UI quirks that could use some work on this version, though: - when viewing the "log," the back button closes the app instead of closing the log window - various UI elements jump around a lot when numbers are updating, making smaller buttons hard to press accurately. Would it be possible to use tabular/fixed width font for numbers to help?

this is a review of the app port and not the game itself, which i also like: the UI is not as intuitive as playing the browser version with a mouse, but the app is updated to the most recent version and after a few days of playing i haven't found any bugs. autosave isnt continuous, which is maybe the only problem i have, but the time progression when the app is minimized or closed works well, so thats not a big deal. its a good port!

There were a lot of things to like, but the prestige mechanic is very awkwardly balanced. It actually feels worse to go through the early game on successive runs. Offline progress is very limited by resource caps, and active progress is limited by bottleneck resources. Basically, the game is tuned around checking in every fifteen minutes or so. I guess my main gripe is that the game feels like a chore - you can't *just* play it, and it demands your attention constantly lest you waste time.

Something weirdly addicting about this game. Super interesting and will last you years... Like literally. In a good way. You just have to try it out and see for yourself. Buuuut if you want more info... It's like those old text only no gui fantasy games from back in the day... You but infrastructure and advance your society. You will get to a point that you "reset" basically going back in time to year 0 and start again but with a small increase to overall efficiency that builds up more each time

I've played a lot of idle games, and this is the best one I have ever played, second only to Armory and Machine. A good balance between active and idle gameplay, and tons of interesting research and twists to the development of your colony. I remember seeing this game on Kongregate years ago and never really thought much of it, but coming back to it recently I found that it truly is a great game.

This is one of the most creative "clicker" games out there. Although I'm certain it's not the first of it's kind, it is definitely the best of the bunch. I could go on and on about features like sciences, upgrades, and prestige, but it's best to experience it yourself. The game progresses at a good pace, never getting too complicated too fast. The only issue I have is not knowing what some upgrades do, since the descriptions can be vague, but the subreddit always has answers. Worth the money.

One of the greatest resource management games I have ever played. I have been hooked for months. The progression is really satisfying, with new mechanics unlocking at a steady rate. Descriptors for buildings, science, etc are clever. And there is an established online community that you can lean on to explain some of the more elaborate strategies necessary for speedier progression.

I love the pace and complexity. It's super addictive. I would rate higher but my game keeps crashing. More often than not this is why I spam click things, has happened about 10 times now in 2 days of playing. Just now it crashed while I was just waiting, and before that it said it crashed while it wasn't the active app. Playing on a Google Pixel.

Idle clicker without ads and exactly what I wanted. I can make progress, or not. I can log in for three hours and have something to do or stay offline. It doesn't have stupid animations or prompts to check an ad every time I want to make progress. Strategy can be used but it isn't required, it's all about how you want to play the game. Thank you!

Edited: had to take away two stars because I'm finding many of the new policies I've scrimped and saved for don't actually have any effect. Original Review: Shocking amount of depth. If you think this game is slow or boring, look up tips online. Resetting makes a huge difference (research paragon!). I've been playing for MONTHS and I'm still discovering new depths, new avenues to explore, new challenges and achievements. This game is worth 5x the asking price.

Kittens game is the gold standard for idle progressive games. I've done a handful of others within the genre, but I always come back to the kittens. The developer does an amazing job with Wube level support on the game, and is quick to offer support. While there are a few weird wrapping issues, it's mostly due to phone resolution and such, and not really anything I'd expect an easy solution for. There's a reason this game has been around as long as it has. Get it.

Don't let the negative reviews fool you, this game is an idle game. You buy it and that's it, no adds to boost production speed or extra stuff behind a pay wall or special pay only currency's, this is an idle game. You don't sit and play it hours on end, it is an idle game. Build some things, do some research and such then do something else and come back five, ten minutes later or longer. And honestly I really enjoy it!

Best "idle" game I have ever played, far too many people don't know about this game. Extremely fun, very deep, balanced difficulty and wait times (at least for as far as I've played so far). Theme is super fun and light hearted. Policy and religion building is excellent, research and crafting systems are top notch. And on top of all of that, the price tag is surprisingly low for a game with absolutely no ads or microtransactions. This will be the game I measure all other games of the type by.

Really good so far, even if I only have 20 hours. The main issue I have is you can't set up notifcations when storage is full or you have enough to make something when you aren't playing the game via phone notification, but it is a minor complaint. The only other thing I have had trouble with is occasionally I will lose track of time, winter happens, I fail to reassign my kittens, and a few die because I don't have enough catnip production, but that is more my fault for not being prepared.

I did not expect this game to be so deep, going from harvesting catnip by hand (paw) in the beginning to creating a massive interplanetary civilisation. I have played for about 6 weeks now and it's very addicting (for me) partially because of how easy it is to play it at any point of the day. I'm still on my first playthrough and I don't know how it will end. Ofc the game can be improved with more features and more diverging routes. But for 3.99AUD, it's practically endless value already.

The only "clicker game" I've played that actually feels like it has a real element of strategy and management. It just gets deeper and more complex the more time you spend with it. If you must have graphics this is not for you, but if you like watching numbers go up... hoo boy. There's a lot of numbers😅. And NO IN GAME PURCHASES! If you want to progress, you have to actually play the game and you are not penalized with painfully slow progress because you didn't buy gems or coins or whatever.

Excellent idle/incremental game. Easily one of, if not the most in depth of it's incremental simulation constituents. The amount of content and in the game is huge and the game requires tons of resource micromanaging and automation to not fail. In turn, Kittens Game requires actual thought and player strategy to progress at a reasonable capacity. Even two months in I'm still playing and keeping my kittens from dying in the harsh winter. There is nothing else quite like it.

Fantastic Game! All the mechanics and upgrades are so well thought out and detailed. There are no ads or any pushes to pay to play after the initial purchase of the game. The amount of time waiting for resources is very reasonable and you can play for long periods or let it sit, it is not anmoying in any way like most apps nowadays. I have been playing this game for years now, and I'm still constantly finding new things. It is never a grind. Please give it a try

Requires an outrageous amount of active attention for an idle game. Can only bank two hours of progress, and most of your resource caps are too small to even last that long. You need to be checking in on it more than once an hour to make any progress at all, and that's before you unlock starcharts which are basically golden cookies but mandatory for progress. At that point you're almost required to be actively watching at all times or you stall completely. Which defeats the whole point.

It's fine. Progress is annoyingly slow. Actively playing is discouraged but idling is also discouraged because of resource caps; it's a weird mix that necessitates checking frequently (like every 15-30 minutes) but doesn't give you much to do every time you do open the game. It starts promising but quickly becomes a chore. Also, it isn't that deep. The "choices" you make are mostly small bonuses, and there's an optimal meta you should be following unless you enjoy wasting time.
