Not interested in notifications thanks. This thing asks Every Time you open the app if you want to enable notifications. The news is great to have access to, there are ads and sponsored stories you have to sift through which is fine, but the notification thing every time I open the app is nonsense.

Use to be good and focused on Utah new, but since I moved back, it seems to be just another biased news app pushing a leftist narrative and out of touch with the local population. Runs duplicate stories that are targeted to cause contention and sow hate. Very disappointed. Weather forecast is still better than national forecast, however.

With Android 14 (Pixel 8) the spinning circle animation never goes away, even after the content is done downloading and rendering. I have to swipe away the app (close it forcefully) and then restart the app in order to read articles without a constantly spinning circle in the middle of my screen.

One photo? Can't see it. If there are multiple photos in an article, you can click on them and even zoom in. But if there is only one photo, it is frozen at the top of the article and usually the title of the article is covering most of the photo. This makes the single photo USELESS.

I have an app that force stops other apps when activated, normally all of the apps stop but this app turns itself on and waste my battery even when I am not even on this app! Ugh! No reason for it to turn itself on unless it's tracking or monitoring something. I have uninstalled it! Too bad because I like keeping informed on my home state. Oh well a competitors app it will have to be.

Its informative enough to deal with the problems like the descriptions in the classifieds being full of numbers and symbols which make looking for anything sized with numbers like tires or trailers impossible. Also dont like how the news articles scroll to the top if I rotate the screen. Edit 23 May 2021 App crashes every time I try to open it. Device is pixel 3 on Android 11.

Bug in 2.15.0 where circle loading bar never goes away and when trying to go to an article back to main screen the back button doesn't work. Love the app but the bugs make it hard to use. Update: now a week later and the bug still exists and the app is getting harder to use. Please fix this.

This app has been fantastic over the years, but the current version has major issues. Progress wheel spins continuously on the main feed and I have to press the back button between 3 and 7 times to get back to the feed from any story. Please revert whatever recent change was made.

This app has become really problematic. I like reading the comments section but I'm a right-handed reader so as I swipe sometimes I accidentally click either like or the Alert report button and there's no way to take it off. It also requires me to click several times trying to get out of a news article and also has constant load button.

This news is very slanted toward the Woke. When I look at the comments, it's hard for me to believe that they represent the Utah where I live. Makes me actually wonder if there is an organized bunch of liberals that make every effort to leave their comments first.

Generally, it's a good app. I have a personality quirk that I proofread articles and the number of spelling and composition errors in a fairly high percentage of the locally written articles are distracting. I really like reading the comments and occasionally posted comments in the past. Apparently I posted something that offended someone and now I am permanently blocked. Would like to know how I offended someone and would happily mend my ways.

Need to figure out how to add pictures and videos into the news story. Couldn't tell you how many times I've read an article describing an event or image and not seen any actual images or videos that are being discussed. The times they do show up, they take too long to load, and have 90 seconds ads:( Good articles and access

I enjoy this app for many reasons, although I no longer live in the region, but I use it for comparison of prices.

Man I do not like your new design on the page when you first open the app. It's not comfortable or inviting. Makes you want to click right back out again. I can understand a change, but this one seems all wrong. 🫤

Go-to app for Utah news. Breaking news notifications are a bit frequent and usually more of an annoyance, but otherwise, I like the balanced news approach.

Last upgrade was bad...very bad. I might actually uninstall it if it isn't changed. It is hard to look at now. It really bothers my eyes. It was great before. I guess someone needed something to do, but it was so much better before.

Seems very poorly done, the other one was much better. What is with scrolling right to read one article and then scrolling down for the rest of the articles.

Good app, but they've been putting in more and more ads. I get it, you need revenue. But at least make it so you can turn off autoplay on videos! I'm tired of videos playing in there middle of an article. Completely distracting. I would've rated 4 stars before the recent onslaught of ads in the middle of every article and pinned at the bottom of the screen. Don't update if you don't want way more ads. They also censor comments, even if they don't violate their rule. Zero transparency on that.

This app has always been buggy, but after yesterday's update, it doesn't open at all. (After clearing cache and reinstalling.) Update: Tried the beta for a while. Now, certain ads cause it to crash when they load. Currently can't keep the app open for more than eight seconds. Pure trash.
