I'm just starting to try it out. Sometimes it seems to register an answer as wrong and the solution seems to be exactly what I typed. Then, it doesn't give you an option to see a comparison of your previous entry, so you have no idea what is actually wrong. I do like it so far, the app is beautiful and the very few sounds they decided to use are pleasant and not overbearing.

While the course work seems solid and intuitive for the most part.. I did cancel my subscription at least a month ago because the price hike coming up was too much. My plan ended today and come to find out they charged me $300 anyway. I know I canceled it. This is ridiculous. Edit: contacted the devs and got refunded hassle free so I do appreciate that. Updated my rating. I did use mimo almost exclusively on PC which was mildly buggy here and there. My progress didn't carry over to the app tho.

Lesson based format on a fixed path so you can't jump around based on your experience and interests. It might not teach application of Python (I'm new) but I think it will help with getting familiar with the syntax so it can be applied to problems. Progression is slow for me but I think that is because I have some programming experience vs. the intended audience might be starting from 0. While it might be slower than an online course, it is an approachable way to add Python learning to your day.

Great app for learning how to code. stepping out of your comfort zone and learning something new is never easy. but mimo makes it fun. I would recommend learning more about coding. with artificial intelligence taking over our lives. it's definitely a good investment to learn how to control it. I'm extremely excited to use Mimo to be ready for the future

New user. Great app if it weren't for the few drawbacks. I will not be proceeding past trial period for the Pro version due to incessant pop-ups to save every code question to the "playground", sometimes to the point of requiring force stop to get back in and proceed. Also encountering the jankyness others have described clicking to edit code and on a phone that can become very frustrating.

This app is an impressively powerful tool that makes learning how to code much easier to understand and follow. the user interface is intuitive and well structured, with a logical line of progression that makes every part of the coding process easy to understand and apply. Each module and lesson is fully explained from the ground up, with interactive hands on examples, making sure that YOU the student, will understand not only what you're doing and how to do it, but also WHY it's done that way

I like the app as a refresher but I can't imagine learning anything with it. My biggest issue is anytime my phones orientation changes from vertical to horizontal or the other way around the app will start the test over. I would be way further into the app if I didn't have to do the same tests 100 times. I think I would give a solid 4 stars otherwise.

I don't mind more ads or paying directly, but I lost my streak. I can't even use the streak freeze I got. I'll need to pay later anyway if I stick with the app to get certs, but it was discouraging to be thrown off track. I would be fine enabling more ads if there were an option to do so. I appreciate the effort put into this, but maybe there should be a donation option. I can't afford to add another bill this second, but people (myself included) would donate, that helps everyone.

Great app just a couple of drawbacks for me. Firstly I don't like that there is a whole other level of subscription just to get to use the computer version. The second is more of a bug issue and I'll remove this part of the post if I find a way around it. As of right now when working with react, the keyboard does not pop up when trying to enter text in an input. This bug exists both in the lessons and with my own personal apps.

Love the app and the materials are easy to understand. Perfect for beginners who has interest in learning codes. However, I suggest that the dev add a "personal note" feature that allows user to take review information they noted. While the materials are simple and easy to understand, retaining and familiarizing with it in long term is pretty difficult. Still, it's a great app❤️👍❤️

7/5/23 I just started but so far it seems a pretty intuitive way to learn; hopefully that results in it sticking well. Either way, it is fun and very easy to navigate 1/10/24 Dropping down 2 stars as it's been glitchy lately, with the Syntex moving all over the screen while I'm trying to run my code. Also, there are too many typos on the recently added segments and that's really messing with my head considering the language is pretty precise!

One of the better coding apps. The UI is great. The app feels nice. Lately, trying to edit scripts has been very janky. You'll click in to make an edit, and then it will randomly change where you're typing in the script. You'll click back, and it will just teleport again and again, making it almost impossible to make edits. The heart system is app uses is awful and incredibly slow to recharge, which limits how much you can do before you need to wait.

Mimo is friggin' awesome. It's so easy to learn with the teaching method used. I'm really learning to code! The interface is fluid and I'm having fun, too. I highly recommend this app for anyone who wants to learn and it's perfect for beginners. It's self paced, learn as slow or as fast as you want with simple and retainable instruction. Want to code? With Mimo, you can do that!

This is a nice little app that even comes with a browser version, so it's versatile in that regard. However, this is NOT free. You only get the introduction part as free. Anything else you need, and you need to shell out a leg and arm to progress beyond that. With other FREE options out there to fully learn the whole thing, why bother paying?

Learning something new while also being *fun* 🙂. Instructions are easy to follow along and provides repetition and reviews to make sure you are not getting lost. Currently using the free version to test it out for a month, but will probably end up just doing the paid subscription. App works great on my andriod phone and have no issues inputting code.

It's a great app to start learning a little bit of code. The problem I have is certain problems arrive when answering coding questions and using their playgrounds feature. You can be typing on one line and it will shoot you down to the bottom. Essentially you can't write code in their app, it's to buggy. Also they trick you. "Buy our pro version to continue" than it's "hop onto a computer to continue" once your on the computer it's "buy max to continue" which is far more expensive than the pro.

This was better before they restructured things. The more I've used it (of course since dropping $60 for the premium version, which doesn't work online, that's even more and is the only place you can do most of the projects) the more errors and issues I've found. It's pretty clear they are relying on AI and not having anyone actually read through lessons/questions before releasing the module. I really hate that I fell for the first part of it being decent and decided to pay.

A quick tutorial to get you started. Then it hits you with a subscription needed to actually take any lessons. You don't get a feel for the program before they want to charge you. Don't waste your time. EDIT: Installed again. Made it to the first "code challenge", won't let me do anything. Just says tap the code to start, unable to get it to do anything other than try to continue without a solution. You lose a heart (you get x amount unless you pay for the subscription), and fail the challenge.

Mimo is really cool. I never thought about HTML before, but since the website I post my fanfiction on uses HTML, I thought it'd be cool to learn. I do wish there were more practice levels in-between the regular levels, so it'd help you memorize and put into action what you learn better. The only issue I've had so far, is that when my internet cut out, it didn't tell me. And when I finished the level, it said I only got one answer correct, when it was supposed to be perfect. But that's about it.

It's a good app and like the structure, very similar to Duolingo. Ok with the cost, was a little annoyed that to use the web version, which is really needed for the projects was an extra fee to upgrade to Max. Truthfully the cost wouldn't bother me if I could share with family, similar to Duolingo. If my two kids wanted to learn also they would have to each pay also. Adding that one feature would give this 5 stars.
