I like to try and copy the native speakers. The sentence structures that are presented allow me to learn the language with a natural flow.

German 5000 phrases... topic PLANE, subtopic BOOKING A FLIGHT, lesson FILL IN THE BLANKS has an issue with sentence "gibt es eine zwischenlandung".... you can't fill the blank, letters offered are completely wrong. otherwise app is superb.

no a bad app. good way to learn; incorporating a 'chapter' /activity solely based on speaking. only problem, I keep getting the pay to earn more words very often. almost too often.

This is a practical app which expands your vocabulay and helps you practice. It is valuable to download it if you have already learned at least the A1 level in German. Otherwise, you may find it boring.

A systematic way to learn and practice vocabulary for language learners of all levels. Examples are practical and useful, phrases a person really needs to communicate. App is well designed and easy to use.

Half of the exercises are quite cumbersome and take more effort to click at the right place than to know the language. I evaluated this app as rather annoying. Perhaps not the demo had more than 4 sentences per topic, and the exercises would be reduced to those actually helping learning, would be a 4* and a potential buy.

4 stars for 2 problems: 1. ads make not only the app but also my entire phone really slow. I have to close app from task manager to make my phone smooth 2. There is no option to see all my favorite phrases as star marked up together Plz fix these to make this app awesome It really helped me untill now but i have to use it most of the time offline for that reason

I would like to be very objective with my review so I am giving it a 3 for neutrality... Nevermind :) If you are serious about learning German then this is a great stepping stone... If you are not serious, then you will forget about this app. I recently found out I can sign in with my email, so I'm hoping all my progress is saved!!! I had this app a few years back and all progress was deleted... The app is great for serious learners!

Pretty good selection of free stuff. I would think it is best for practicing A1 and A2 content without paying. For the more complex stuff you have to pay or earn a ton of flowers/ points. 7000 flowers to unlock intermediate.

Is a very good app with many different exercises but unfortunately has no tolerance for mistakes. It does not let you select and think about your answer because it marks immediately wrong. For someone dyslexic is very demotivating and this is why I stopped using it. Unfortunately after struggling to log in all my 24000 flowers have been reduced to 0. Why?? I worked very hard to gain the flowers to unlock the expert level and now I cannot download it unless I pay for it. Not fair at all.

Great app! Very fun and helpful. I gave 3 stars because the progress is not saved and now I bought a new phone and my points and the levels that I've earned are gone! I used to like this app but in order to learn a language I need to be able to follow my progress and with this app its impossible. Even of you spent a lot of time and learned a lot - once you change a device its all gone. Don't like it anymore. could be easily 5 stars if only my progress was saved on my account, not devices.

Very good app, but still needs some improvement. It would be nice if you had flashcards with sentences shown in english and then the user would have to use the microphone to translate them to German. If you make this work, I will buy the intermediate version. Working well means, it will enable the user to select some flashcards that they want to practice with higher frequency. If you make this work well, I will buy the full advanced version. I like the app a lot. Good luck with improvement!

The drills drive home the learning of phrases through varying memorization techniques including pronunciation, choosing words to form sentences, spelling, finding mistakes, etc. And I really like the review where you can choose any of the techniques for all of the phrases in a section, just the ones you got wrong, etc. This app is great if you learn through memorization. I spent a long time using duo, but never achieved the level that I have with this app because I can review items and memorize.

A really nice collection of useful phrases, and extremely well-designed drills. I particularly like the pronunciation exercises with the phonetic alphabet aids and speech recognition. It's a great add-on to duolingo, which I've been using for years, and I bet it's a great starter too, though IMO it's best complemented with more formal language learning. It loses a star because it's a bit buggy ("reviews" give me sentences I've never seen before, for instance) with no way to report that.
