7 days and then you want to start charging give me a break. You think 7 days is enough to learn the basic stuff? Camon stop being cheap! There are a ton of apps I can use that will allow me to learn the basic stuff for AS LONG AS I WANT before I make a purchase when ready to move on to the more advanced material. Uninstalled.

I was using a different app for Russian and was getting very frustrated. This app allows a review of the word lists once a lesson is completed, shows how to conjugate verbs, and alternates between the pronunciation written in English to Cyrillic which has been so helpful.

It's very fun and interactive, however it has some annoying bugs. It always crashes when I want to use the microphone, and sometimes the voice disappears (when I want to listen to a word). If those get fixed the app is perfect.

Good app but can be better. Most important is to make it easier to "click"/tap in smartphone. one must click exact for the word or option to be chosen. make it so that its possible to click, drag and release on another location within the boundary of the word or option. it is that way in DuoLingo and it is waaay easier and more fluent. second if you are far down in the leaderboard (outside top 15) it would be nice to show the ones just next to you so you know how far up to next position.

Very good app really helps me learning with the vocabulary of the Russian language the only thing I wish this have included was more help in terms of reading and writing the Russian language. Although I have not tried any of the more advanced levels of the app so I cannot comment if those levels include lessons on the cyrillic alphabet. Would be much nicer if it's have included lessons on the cyrillic alphabet because then it would be the perfect app and also included lessons on writing the lan

Not sure the accuracy if direct translation from language to language, but the application itself is easy to navigate. The most useful aspect is being able to repeat the sounds over with the Latin text for a way for you to recognize the sounds before just using the particular languages text.

Content and approach is ok, but these annoying daily notifications are making me uninstall the app. I turned off lesson reminders, but still getting daily notifications to get into the app and buy. Their support said to turn it off in the system, but that just hides the issue, your app still starts up in the background and consumes internet and battery...

The app is pretty good. The free content is only a very small portion and not enough to learn. So if you want a free app look for another one. After the first lesson is finished I could understand why so many adds would pop up all the time about becoming premier.

Although the app is a decent one, unfortunately I have to give it only one star because I feel deceived! The title says learn Russian FREE, but the free part of the app is just the very basics of the language. So basically, we cannot "LEARN" the language for free. I'm perfectly okay with paying for apps but I just resent it when they deceive people into it. If it's not free, why say it in the first place?! People will pay for good quality!

Mondly is the best language-learning app I've ever seen, and I'm a trained linguist. The content is fun and engaging, the app makes it easy to build your vocabulary. Any progress you make is meticulously tracked. If you get stuck, excellent customer service will help you out. Premium's worth every penny.

It's a great app. The interface, visual graphics, and verbal speech are simple and understandable. Russian is hard to learn , but this app it made it simpler and more interesting

EDIT: changed my review because I got billed 9.99€ for "Mondly 7 Days Free Promo v3". I got a popup in the app offering the promo so I accepted it and canceled the subscription immediately so it wouldn't start charging me after 7 days. What then happened is I got immediately charged and also only got 30 days of subscription, so the "free promo" counted for nothing.

A really good idea but sadly grossly overpriced. I can buy a great book (or several) with audio for a fraction of the price of a few months subscription and have something more useful that will last forever. Really of very limited use without subscription, very disappointed.

Mondly lies somewhere inbetween fun and effective learning. It's presented in an easy to understand way. I recommend combining it with some dryer vocab learning and some more fun tv watching (with subs). No program I've found is all encompassing for language learning but mondly is definitely a good addition to your effort. Better for beginners than advanced.

I find this method of language aquisition to be very easy to use the frequent email reminders are also particularly helpful. I seem to benefit from frequently being "reminded to stick to a logical schedule. The jump from audio learning to actually being able to spell words in a totally alien characterset is handled very well by the lesson repetition encouraged by the countdown to next lesson availability couunter as it really encourages me to repeat previously completed lessons.welldone!

I downloaded this app with the hope , it will help me to improve my Russian . For the few lessons, it worked really well and moreover I found it very useful. That is the reason, I took one year paid subscription. After that I really feel cheated. I can't able to open the next lessons. Even I reinstall it also so that it may work. Lastly, I wrote mail to them with the hope they will rectify it, but yet to receive any response. Just received confirmation mail. Again I wrote mail but yet to receive

I'm sure this app is great if you can afford it. Which I cannot. This app seems superior to duolingo in almost every way. BUT. The push for the opting into premium is invasive, discouraging and simply far too aggressive for me to find this a pleasant experience. There also needs to be a comprehension test, instead of leaving it to the user to guess at the start as to whether or not theyre beginner, intermediate or advanced. How absurdly nebulous.

I've been using the app nearly every day for the past year, I realy enjoyed using it, it has helped a lot. However they recently changed the voice. The new one is much harder to understand and is a lot less rhythmic than the previous. I also found a certain charm in having several different voices, it gave a good insight to some regional dialects and varies pronunciations, but now there is only one voice doing it all and it's beginning to get a little boring.

It's a very nice app. It's easy to use, and I love its features. If you allow it, it'll notify you that you have daily lessons to do (which is optional to do them daily of course) I would've forgotten about this app if it didn't notify me. I also love how it brings up lessons that have things you learned before, it really gets in your head. Like Privet is hello. So far, it brought privet (hello) up twice or three times.

I love the app but you need to start with the basics like the difference in pronouncing or setting up phrases with reference to Male or female. Lessons on verbs, nouns, adjectives and the differences in how they're used with past, present future, he, she, we, they. It gets confusing enough to want to quit. Also, the people speaking need to SLOW DOWN and enunciate!
