Needs further development; struggles/locks up with large files. For the age and price, I would have expected a much more mature product. The desktop product has functions to not read references and other portions of books. This is very helpful. I can not go beyond this screen 😫 without leaving feedback, so I am leaving 3 stars until you fix this and smooth out some of the other issues. I can not highlight them because I am stuck on this feedback screen.

Unable to cancel. I just signed up for the 3 day trial cancel anytime deal. I used the app for maybe 5-10 mins, and it's not what I need, so I went to cancel, but it's not showing up in my Google Play subscriptions to cancel. So I had to send an email to customer support. We'll see how long that takes for someone to respond. Might change my rating based on the response time.

First, how does a person even contact these idiots? Do they even have a website? I have searched and searched and there is nothing other than a Google Play listing that offers a monthly service or a once a year, $39.99 annual subscription and a "3 Day Unlimited Trial." There are NO other options. They do not give you a word or listening limit, just three purchase choices, so one assumes there isn't one. I chose the Free 3 Day Trial. Cut me off at day two--over listening limit! They suck!

It's good, but there are many incorrect pronunciations, even for basic Filipino words! I wish there was an option to set correct pronunciation. For example, if I copy-paste an article, I'd like AI to learn correct pronunciation of words like "slowly" and "quickly" pronunciation. That would be better, as AI could pronounce words correctly in various languages. Thanks!

seems like a great overall tool, but the trial version is so short. only got to listen to a few minutes. would definitely think about subscribing but price is too high, IMHO. $8 per week. maybe they'll lower their price when they get a little more established. I think they'd make more money in the end with lower price. think they'd get much more widespread adoption with something closer to $5 to $10 a month, then $25 per month. Just not worth it when similar tools available for Free!

This could've been a great app for those who need to do a lot of reading. Especially students who need to read through research articles but are short on time and aren't the fastest readers (such as myself). The base version of the app gave me an abysmal 20 seconds of listening time before it ended and offered me the premium subscription with unlimited listening time. Why bother with a free version that is outrageously restricted to the point it's basically useless?

I want so badly to love this app but I just can't. It's buggy, clunky, and unreliable. "Downloaded" content stutters and stops randomly as if the app chooses days where it wants to perform and days where it doesn't. I use the app to listen to my writing as it helps me find mistakes that I wouldn't just by reading. I paid for the lifetime subscription and was shocked to find that I'd reached a listening limit. The app only works with the screen on and overheats my phone.

I like this app. Compared to other read-out-loud apps, the voices are clear and natural. It doesn't distract from my reading experience. I even bought the paid extension. However, after about 10 minutes of smooth-sail reading, the audio stops. Refreshing the app does not help. Even having the audio downloaded to listen to offline, the audio still stops. It may come back after a minute, but then it will stop again a few lines later. Or it won't come back at all. It's infuriating.

Paid full price for the lifetime access but can't even download the files for offline use. It says that you can, which is why I spent way too much money on it. But the downloads do not actually store on my device. There's no support on the app. You also cannot edit ones you've already done even in the paid version which is complete bs. You have to keep creating new ones over and over again. I do not reccomend.

I can only listen to one sentence at a time, and then I have to open my phone just to click on the next sentence. By the time i do all that, i could read multiple pages. it's not worth the time or the money, and I'm disappointed that I paid for the year, and the free trial didn't apply because, yes, I canceled my subscription. I can see this app being a valuable tool if it knew how to download multiple pages and read them continuously without the listeners' assistance.

I don't see most of the features the app's description is giving. Like the features are there, yeah, but they're not as great and customizable as they make them seem. Their voice models are so limited. Only 5 of them, which don't actually sound very different and all of that trying to charge $6.99 WEEKLY! Not even a discounted plan for students. Edge can do all of that for free, Google is really showing their greediest side on this one.

Close but no cigar. Way too much money for what the app offers. Only a few voices, and nearly all of them masculine, even the supposed female voices are deep and unsettling. There's also almost no settings to adjust, only speed. It would read fast and then pause painfully long for line breaks. No background playback when the screen turns off. All I want is a natural voice reader to read all my books to me. This still sounds like a robot because of the limited language library and awkward pace.

when the PDF was imported it was clear that the reader messed up, it ended up either grouping or duplicating copyright information to create almost a whole page of just copyright information. it doesn't seem like there is any way to crop out the stuff that you don't want red when I was looking for that feature the app crashed. open it back up and try it again but just navigating the app causes it to crash. "cheap cheap cheap" 🐣

was pretty good for a few months. somewhat inconsistent, though, because some files it just wouldn't read and some files it just sped through chunks and chunks of text. now as of September 18th 2025, it simply doesn't work at all. it looks like there was another update and it won't read any PDF that I input. it says it's playing, the timer is going, but no sound comes out.

Ok AI reader. Never has remembered a document I was listening to. You have to reload the document and find your place every time you open it. Voices are good. Playback adds punctuation that is not present in the original document thus breaking in the wrong spots. Expensive but better than Speechify. I would not spend money again on this app. Not until they make it where it retains its place each time you open it or at least has your document in the document list. It takes some getting used to.

only gave me 1 minute of free use until it asked me to subscribe. if it were a one time purchase, fine. but doesn't have a find function, or table of contents, or a way to find your footing on a large document. not worth even the trial. only good thing is the reader is actually ok but if you're not planning on spending $10/week (that's right, WEEK. meaning $520 a year..) don't even download

I would have given it 5 stars a few days ago, but now I would give it 0 stars if I could. It worked great until the latest update and now it doesn't work at all. Does not play back text or at least if it does, it takes forever to load, and I haven't got the patience to wait hours for it to load. DEVELOPERS PLEASE GO BACK TO WHEN IT WORKED OR FIX THE PROBLEM!

This feels very bait and switch. Program worked great during the trial period, however, the day I went to the pro subscription it stopped working. It will no longer upload my epubs and the functionality has greatly diminished the ones that were in my library. Anytime I attempt to fast forward the app freezes. This app has become functionally worthless. When I cancelled the subscription it offered no refunds. if not for the great trial, I would rate it lower.

Just subscribed, maybe regret? One big problem and one small one: the app stops reading when the screen turns off. The other thing is mostly annoying: the app turns off autocorrect and voice typing on my keyboard when I'm trying to enter a title for new content. What I do like about this app, and what made me buy it was that the reading voice is much more natural sounding and expressive than other reading voices I've encountered on similar apps.

I liked it and will use it for now, but I likley won't use this app after my subscription. The constant stopping every paragraph is super annoying. My phone is still open to the app, and it just pauses for no reason. I have to keep hitting play or wait 5 minutes between paragraphs. I can not get it to stop doing this, connected to wifi or downloading the content, and it keeps stopping.
