Doesn't work well on Vizio Smartcast TV's, shows nothing but a completely blank white screen, while the audio works fine. Not sure if this is a Local Now app issue, or a Vizio issue, but I tried downloading the app to cast to my TV so see if that would fix the issue, but this app doesn't even support Chromecast! 1/10 Very disappointing.

Very disappointed. Asked for help, just getting bounced from one person to anoth. And they asked same questions again. On channels, ...their backlight is too dark on screen on some devices. And also,...there is no SETTING ICON on their application whatsoever. Totally unacceptable. Almost all apps have setting icon. Too bad, they had some fairly good channels and nice movies. Oh well . Uninstalled. I'll just choose something different, and I suggest you do too until they unseat themselves and fix

Randomly pops up stupid fluff national news updates (don't care about) when trying to text or look something up. No x to go away & can't continue with what i was trying to do before the stupid picture notification intruded on my screen. Not easy to find where to disable that, so removed app. If anything actually interesting & it wouldn't force self advertised click bait (don't want) might add back sometime. Says it has movies? Not just tabloid news? Maybe THAT, by choice, when & if chosen by me.

I have this app on my television, and it's horrible it works when it wants to. They need to improve their services and its nit on the correct time for anyone asking. It's close but not on time. It's pretty annoying when you and the news before work and ut just keeps spinning the internet connection oe whatever it Sucks!!!!

I'm looking for just plain old fashioned TV,, I set up a antenna and get what's out there,,, that's what I am looking for and this isn't it,, good app, just not what I want

The movie that was displayed under the fire stick "free TV with ads" category was not available to watch after I downloaded this app.

Similar to other "Local TV" apps. Obscure channels, some OK, some blah. I don't know where my local channels are though. I put my city, Los Angeles, in, and I still get local channels everywhere but LA. "Chromecast support means you can seamlessly watch Local Now on your TV" where is Chromecast? Can't find casting icon anywhere? Picture was fine on my phone, but none of the channels were very interesting. If my LA channels were there it would be better. I'd probably never watch so will delete

Awful. I would rate it 0 stars if I could. The screen orientation keeps fighting me, going to portrait when I keep trying to go to landscape. Lame assortment of channels that you can find everywhere else, and on much better apps like Plex, Sling TV, Roku, Pluto TV, etc. Has none of the actual local channels in my area, and I live in SoCal. Uninstalled.

I'm a cord cutter and use several apps for different reasons. I enjoy the free content on this app, from music videos, to streaming movies and classics. I particularly enjoy westerns, so the Wild West channel is awesome! I downloaded this app to get my local News (Boston) and weather which it does wonderfully! Everything else it offers is a welcomed addition. It does what I had hoped and more.

The app is terrible. It crashes repeatedly on startup sometimes like 5 times in a row before finally starting. Sometimes it is necessary to force stop it and open it a couple of times before it finally starts working. And like 2 weeks after installing it my local station was dropped from the channel lineup so now it's basically useless except for the weather blurb it opens into which you can get anywhere. All the free channels it is larded down with are available everywhere. Don't bother with it

This app is not compatible with Chromecast. There's no option anywhere to be able to cast it. I tried mirroring my screen and it allowed me to see it on my TV but there was no audio so unless I want to rely on the CC, I can only watch on my device. Not a great selection of movies or shows, mostly stuff I've never even heard of but I did primarily get it because other streaming apps I have don't have local news so I guess it's worth it for that at least. But it sucks to have to watch on my phone

This app used to be awesome. I loved that I could watch a rebroadcast of my local morning news and many other shows. Unfortunately, a recent update make it not run correctly on my Nvidia Shield Android TV streaming box. The app doesn't show that it is installed any more. I can find it through Settings->Apps, but when I start the app, it shows me the phone interface rather than the TV interface. I hope a new update will fix it soon because I relied on this app.

Ok. The app looks smooth and clean. Making content shareable would be a good addition. I wanted to post my feedback in the app an do more before review, but the app would not believe my email address. lastly I was hoping to have a more diverse news choice, but it's less that the local television stations. Great potential, let's see where this goes.

Update 3/8/21 - Revisited the app... better, but tries to be all things to all people, but misses the mark. Too weather-centric. "Local" news isn't local, more like regional. The TV & Movies section is filled with a lot of very ordinary and in some cases, not terribly interesting media. Eliminate that, and provide more localized news and sports, and you've got a winner. Until then, it's an app in progress, and thus earns three stars (up from one)... but it's headed in the right direction.

The interface is absolutely dreadful! I have to continually right click on my mouse to bring up the channel guide. If I tap to go full screen, 5 seconds later the entire app closes. Same with if I tap on the Play button to watch a movie; the entire app closes. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it multiple times to see if that fixes the many problems. It doesn't. It is a great idea for an app, extremely poorly executed.
