My phone always seems to have trouble connecting to the pin pad. Can takes ages, which is not ideal in a hair salon environment. Tried using phone as pin pad but that didn't work either although that would be my preferred method. I did an online chat and was advised I had to verify my business by sending lots of proof. 1, I dont have time for that and 2 really? I'm already using the service and proccess hundreds of pounds weekly. Could be more user friendly.

Don't bother!!!. App took forever to download which gave me the chance to read reviews.. Obviously if you're mobile its bad for connecting.. Personally I couldn't get past the photo ID stage. Apparently my phone camera is too blurry or there is a glare ,so It asked for different ID..I didn't want to give too much to a site I don't know. Surely my D/L or passport No. Is enough ID... I won't bother for the 1%saving .At the risk of having something that is unreliable

So far so good. I still have the sumup for just for backup incase it doesn't works. It needs getting used to but overall I have been using it from last week has worked majority of the time. I like weekly payments and not next day so it's all good for me and Thanks for the low commission as these small saving do add up to small business end of the year.

I can't comment on the service as I have only just downloaded the app and ordered my card reader. What has given me a bad impression is that the marketing tells you the card reader is free. Only after you go through the whole process of registering and verification etc do they tell you that unless you get paid, I think, £2500 in the first 6 months you will have to pay £69 for the card reader or return it. If I had known that beforehand I would've used a different company so it feels misleading.

very poor! came over from zettle for a better rate. bought 2 terminals, one failed and had to be replaced. the app is very slow and unreliable. and now my account is suspended for doing the same thing we have always done 🤷‍♂️ no phone number and no reply to emails. I opted for weekly payments so they have a good chunk of my money to👍. just get a proper card terminal is my advice. the cheap % doesn't make up for the poor service and nonexistent customer services

Been using this app since May'22. Initially alongside a "traditional" terminal. In terms of stability, it can't compete, but the fees are the draw here, which are great. The app is very buggy: an issue with Moto phones known since summer 22 still hasn't been fixed. SORT IT OUT!! App updates seem to be released & tested in the live environment (3 in the last week!) & card reader firmware updates are unbearable (I have 2 readers, it can take upwards of 10hrs / 50 attempts to get them through)

They used to be good but recently they take money from my clients and don't add to my account. I have to escalate each payment to support and they investigate for a week to find the money and add to my account. Waste a lot of time for me and my clients. My friend has the same problem and they didn't fix it in one month so far.

I thought I'd give this a go despite being very happy with Square, due to your lower commission and ability to tap cards on my phone without a reader. But your app is monumentally difficult to navigate compared to Square, and payments are very slow to go through. Customers are receiving notifications that their payments have gone through before I am! The delay before I can move on to the next customer (with 5g and full signal) is not something I can work with.

Honestly Lopay is a game changer. I've been using Zettle for years, but was frustrated by how long payments took to come through. With Lopay, If cash is tight, I can take the hit with a higher fee, in order to get the money straightway. Then when there's some money in the bank, I can switch back to next day and the lower fee. The app layout is a bit cluttered and messy, but that's a very minor criticism. Thanks so much.

Laggy crashes. Disconnects all the time. Phone to phone payments are unreliable. I'm going back to sum up. They might be half a percentage point more expensive, but you will save that money because of the of the time you save processing customers. Card ready is cheap and nasty. Battery lasts 1 day. Wouldn't recommend.

Exits on launching, no idea why, no error message shown. New account registration cannot be completed. Reinstallation, removing cache etc doesn't help. If set up is not seamless, how can I trust this app in business settings? Quality of Android app development is really disappointing.

It's a good app and half bank fees. I've been before with square app and there is one thing I'm missing from it - the tip screen. To be honest I'm still using square only for this reason. I appreciate there is tip menu, but it's not very convenient to use it on the reader screen - it's small,many buttons to press and client expect to tap the card on the reader, not seeing tip menu). It's different on phone screen as square do. If you can add tip menu on phone screen will be great.

Mixed experience so far. Cheaper fees than SumUp but the reader has an annoying tenancy to lose the connection with the mobile App and sometimes takes a lot of messing about to reconnect. Also miss the option to send receipts via SMS as only email is available which can be easy to enter incorrectly. Would also like the ability to add a description for the payment that's fixed as I would only need Taxi Fare.

One of the worst apps I've ever seen. My partner recently set up an account for her business and tried to pair the app with the card reader. We've tried three different phones; the first two can't connect to the pad and the third phone (mine) can't even log into the app, as the ridiculous magic link keeps throwing up an error. We've been talking to lopay tech support for days and apparently their dev team is looking into it. This seems to be have been going on for months, based on other reviews

Start using it looks good app butt too messy with sumup they are nice and easy but get connectivity problems a lot .i think there are good and bad can be more improved and make it it easier to use

Started ok but unfortunately too many times you go to take payment and the app says it requires a compulsory update. That's no good when a customer is waiting to pay. Also, it keeps disconnecting from the phone and takes way too long to get it reconnected.

Rubbish, payments never seem to send to reader or even wheni use on android. It's embarrassing, can't blame the internet connection because I'll have 5g..
