Young mother with her son were about to leave their cottage located in the woods. Susan's son Jimmy was playing nearby when suddenly he heard strange voices... Susan had just stepped away to answer the phone, but when she returned she saw something pulling her son Jimmy through a shimmering portal. It closed before she could pull him back. To save her son, Susan must find a way to this other world. The things will turn out to be more complicated than the woman expects. On the way, she will face lots of puzzles and mysteries, as well as the mysterious inhabitants of the Lost Lands. To bring Jimmy back she will have to win a victory over the Dark Overlord who's keeping the world in fear!
Will the mother in despair be able to save her child and free the world from the evil?

Spoiler alert... Dark Overlord should read Golden Overlord... just sayin... This is the first of four titles with the same name, so it should be good, right? Actually, yes and mostly yes! Lost Lands 1 is a four star game that doesn't quite make it to five stars. Once again, our cute flyer is underused, collectible items (hard to spot on mobile) a waste of time and most mini-games are too hard. Achievements are not linked to Google Play, so they are pointless too. But, the rest is all good and should keep you busy for upwards of ten hours. Not as scary as it pretends to be though...

Played the free version part way and bought the full game. But how do I continue where I left off in the free game? Or do I have to start all over? If I can get import the old game I'll raise my rating.

The one that started it all. :) An absolutely excellent puzzle game that will keep you entertained for hours. I've completed it 4 times and I still go back to see if I can do it better and faster.

This game was ok. Storyline ok. Graphics TOO dark and cluttered! Didn't even bother looking for snails. Accidentally clicked some when trying to find objects or tasks. Bonus game/plot ended abruptly. Otherwise ok...

The only complaint I have about this series and the Darkness and Flame series is that I have to repurchase the games if I want to replay them after they're uninstalled from my device. They don't stay in my library like other games do and it's frustrating to have to pay again and again.

I have to say out of all the game series I purchsed and played this is my absolute favorite. It has a real Lord of the Rings vibe to it.... the graphics are awesome and the story never disapoints .... The very second a new one is released I'm on it :-) Thanks to all involved!!

Beautiful graphics and cut scenes. Thoroughly enjoyable game with challenging puzzles and a rather original take on hidden object scenes. I look forward to trying more games from this series. Would highly recommend this game

Love this series. Play the series (6 games, so far). It's worth the cost. I'm about to re-run the series. I will say that this one is a bit disconnected from the other 5 parts. The only thing this one has in common with the other three is Susan (main character) and The Lost Lands (world she goes to). That said it's still a great story and a fun game. This is one of my favorites.

Well done 5BN, great games, challenging and entertaining. Nothing short-sighted about this company - free to play many of their adventure games, with no ads. Once I'd played a few, I was happy to pay the very reasonable price for the collectors editions. You deserve to be supported. I'm just starting the Lost Lands collection again and it's just as much fun and great R&R. Thanks
