I could not loathe this new app any more. The between accounts transactions are ridiculously cumbersome. There is too little information about transactions especially electronic transfers. I need to know which accounts they come from and go to but all I see are the words 'withdrawal' or 'transfer'. That would be fine if there was a way to click through to see more details but there isn't. The worst thing is I really loved the older version but this is making me want to change banks.

The update is awful. Transeferring between accounts is terrible. Mobile deposit is now terrible. Trying to pay on loans is terrible. Nothing updates,transfers,or reflects immediatley like the old app did. Even if you refresh it half a dozen times. Half the reason i loved the old app was how quickly i could pay on my loans, cards, transfer between accounts and not lose track of anything. Half the reason I've stuck with MACU was the mobile banking. Might as well ditch the app go to the website.

It was better before the last update. Used to be able to see "pending ACH" (paycheck direct deposit, tax refunds, etc) now I don't see it until it's in. Lots of graphic design changes but functionality doesn't seem much improved at all. Update: will contact the tech support people, (as per dev response) but I'm pretty sure that I can tell when I'm using the app on my phone and when I'm logging in on the desktop. Updated app is still missing some functions found in older versions.

The app keeps my old password instead of resetting to the new password I've created online. This is very frustrating. Because of this I keep getting an error message "Fatal Error" when I login. I called to get help, after being locked out of the app, and the help desk person said that what I was experiencing was "not possible". Obviously, it is.

Bring back the old app! I didn't like the new look after the update but that wouldn't have been a deal breaker. The problem is I can't access my transactions at all!!!! It just shows the spinning loading thing and nothing happens. So in order to get it to work, I have to uninstall and reinstall. Then I can access my transactions a few times, but usually within a few hours, the same problem comes back and I can't access the transactions on my checking account. I can't keep uninstalling forever!

Whatever upgrade they did really sucks. I have a joint account with my husband and his phone number is linked to our account. It seems like half the time I try to log in, I get prompted to get a code from his phone number, no matter how many times I "save my device". I can't get access to my account information without his permission?? This is terrible.

Terrible app, it's so inconvenient on so many levels. 1. It gets stuck on the "verify you're human" part all the time. 2. It never remembers you're Device Ever. 3. Even if #1 or #2 doesn't happen it will tell you "try again later" ALL the time! And that's just before signing in, once you're in it's not very user friendly even the staff at the bank sometimes have trouble navigating the app when I ask for help. Please fix this app!!! Would give 0 stars if it let me.

I joined MACU almost a year ago. So far, I've been impressed with them and with the app. I have had a couple of glitches with the app but their phone support has been fairly helpful. Today I went to log in and kept receiving a message that said "Fatal Internal Error". I couldn't understand if it was my phone or the app or if I was locked out of my account (because one time that happened and the error messages were also ambiguous and very confusing). I am using an older phone and trying to get all the life out of it before I have to pay for a newer one--I'm on a very tight budget like so many. I can't tell you how much I was worried that my phone was dying on me because if it dies, I don't have the money right now for a new one. Anyway, when I got back to the PC, I tried logging in that way and was sent to a page explaining that Online Banking was temporarily down, etc. Now, a Developer might know instantly what is being communicated by the device, but not everyone is a Developer. Can you please fix the app to give people a message in their own language that when the MACU online system is down, it's not their phone having a "fatal internal error". This is very frustrating. Thank you.

Update:they fixed the slowness. I still liked the old UI a bit better. Some things were smoother. But I understand they needed to make changes for security. ........... The new app is much much slower than the old app. Money takes way longer to show up when I deposit or get money through pay apps and when I spend money it takes way longer for it to show up. Transfers are rougher to get to and the user interface in general is way more complex and harder to understand. The old app was way better.

Great app, drives me nuts because i have it set to use my finger print, and it scans my finger print, then asks for my user ID and password anyways.... whats the point of the finger print, if its just going to make you put in your log in info anyways? Other than that, its a great app, you can check your balances, and even freeze and unfreeze debit/credit cards, all in one app.

The bank is awesome. The app, not so much. It is convenient to transfer money between accounts, check balances, etc. My 2 major issues are when I open the app, it flicks closed stating there was an error but then opens again. Also, when I get a new card, it says I can activate it on the app, but I can't. There is no option for that under card manager. I click on the card. it says it's active but there's no option to activate a new card.

Really do not love the new update! It used to be easy to use. Simple navigation. Never had any problems. with the update I tried to do a transfer to pay my credit card and it would only let me choose the due date. When I want to pay it I want it paid right then! I don't want to have to wait. After requesting the transfer finally I was able to change the date I wanted it taken out. But it still didn't do it! And to top it all off the payment still didn't process on the due date! Really frustrated

I don't know why anyone are having trouble with this app, I've had and used it for over a year now and everything that I need works flawlessly. I've never used a credit union before using MACU. EDIT 05/01/2019 I can not perform any mobile deposits! it gives me the error message of check corners, low lighting, steady hands, or does not match amount. I have a new phone. I carefully did all four of these, and I STILL cannot perform a mobile deposit! I dropped my review from 5 stars down to 3 stars.

Slow app that as of recent lacks functions it used to have. It's a nightmare to use and navigate and the customer service will "fix" your disabled account only for transfers between your accounts to become unavailable and for the disabling to occur every few weeks. I feel forced to switch banks because of the experience I've had at MACU and I've literally never had another bank in my entire life. Would rather risk a stranger than keep up with this consistently poor performance.

I don't care for this app. I have signed up for all the notifications, I don't get any notifications until I actually log into the darn app, and see that I'm overdrawn. I have seen this happen to a lot of other people as well. I didn't believe them until it started happening to me. Frustrating. I do my best with keeping track of my spending, the updates don't help, always having to reset my password.

I've used this app for years and never really experienced that many problems. For some reason, now the card manager is completely unusable! I got stuck at the register today trying to change my pin to complete a transaction, and I couldn't. Luckily, someone was with me who could cover the payment, and the money transfer was still usable, but this app caused a completely avoidable embarrassing moment if it wasn't full of bugs. Fix this please!

I'd give 0 🌟 if I could. Horrible ever since last update have to type password in everytime I login and I have the fingerprint stuff saved. The card manager doesn't work either 👎👎 update it still sucks have to log back in in the same day even with biometrics saved. And I have done everything I can think of for the issues to be gone but nope

They recently added cloudflare and some other things and now it takes me a hot minute just to login and do my banking. they need to find a way to streamline their security procedures, and make it so it doesn't require me to input a text verification code every single time I log in (no it doesn't make a difference when I say "remember this device". no matter where I am it requires the text! I like MACU for banking, but their app is a bit slow and clunky compared to Chase, or Capital One, etc.

I've run into issues w/ mobile deposits, I've had too many issues with my debit card transactions being declined bc they think it's fraud... even though I get a fraud alert text and I reply with "yes" so they know it was me & are supposed to allow the card to be used immediately again. Tonight, I'm stuck on the side of the road with ZERO ACCESS to my own money cuz they froze my cards for NO REASON. Replied yes to fraud alert & still says I have to call cust service 0/10 RECOMMEND. RIDICULOUS! 👎

Super insecure Android app, I would not bank with them until they fix huge issues. 1. You can take screenshots of the app 2. When viewing the app in recent apps it's not blacked out 3. You can switch away or to another app and it does not require you to log back in (fingerprint or anything). If I let someone use my phone and just had the app open they could just switch back to the app and have full access, crazy that this possible. Also,their business checking is awful go with First Utah Bank
