How do I get started?
- Maybank customers:
(i) With M2U ID - simply log in with your M2U ID and all your M2U settings will be automatically synced with the MAE app.
(ii) Without M2U ID - register for one online on the Maybank2u website.
- Non-Maybank customers: skip the queue at the branch and sign up instantly with just your phone to enjoy all the benefits of a Maybank customer.
The MAE app will seek permission for the following:
i. Access to your camera to enable you to scan QR code and also upload documents when you apply for a new product or service.
ii. Access to your contact directory to give you the convenience of selecting your contacts when you make a transaction to a mobile number.
iii. Access to your location to offer you the most relevant food listings, marketing promotions or deals by our merchant partners while you are on the go.
iv. Access to your phone’s audio to enable you to make a direct call to the bank's hotline.
v. Access to your settings to enable push notifications to receive Secure2u alerts.

Having 2 Maybank accounts (Personal and Business). Each time I login one account, the other account needs to Register and Activate Secure2u again. Either only at ATM Machine or Call Hotline (which line always busy all the time). After activated, need to wait 12-18 hours for online transactions. This week only I have to Activate it 6 times. Simply ridiculous.👎

I bought an items on several onLine shop..why there's always hang and not Load the page after I make my payment and force me to go back to main page of the onLine shopping ..and after I check it.. it always end up pending transaction but I already purchased it n deducted from my bank.. 5 minutes after the online shop receive the payment..so that's means Maybank apps the probLem one

im use this app several times but even write down my password sometimes it doesn't work n need to change new.But the problem is when at same day i repeatedly change password it requires to change other day that makes my important payment so much longer to complete. Hope there a way to verify just like TnG app that has their owns methods to reach the payment system.

Nice app however I don't like the design where the back button is always at the top left corner and I can't use my phone's back button to navigate back. I got a big phone (S23 Ultra) and to tap the top left with 1 hand is very hard, please reconsider the design.

Maybank has done a wonderful job continuously upgrading and updating this online banking app with better security and financial services. If you are an existing client or customer to the bank, you owe it to yourself to add this app onto your cellular device. The cashless and card free payment methods are a real boon for small and casual purchases which reduces the need to lug around a constant amount of paper currency and coins that can be a hassle at times. Highly recommended.

Too many steps required just to take a glimpse of my daily transactions. I figured no less than 4‐steps is needed to get there(one of them being biometric auth, which is fine btw). Simplifies those method. The-now-obsolete m2u app does a better job than this app. If I recall it correctly, only 2-taps required in there.

Very bad apps, very much not helpful when u are outside of the country.And customer service hotline difficult to reach out,it always says,BUSY!!!!!! like all the time.

Got locked out of account, tried to reset, password was the same so I couldn't use it. Then was told that I can only reset once daily. Tried another password but was told that didn't work out. Will need to think of another password for day 3. Would be nice to just say its already been use so I can just change it. Not have to wait days to get back in. Unusable services.

Hopeless ad. I click sign up it forced me to download latest edge or Firefox etc. I'm already at latest. When I download it directs me back and say registration failed browser not up to date. If I don't download I get the same loop fail anyway. Mega mega hopeless can't even use at all!!!!! This happened for weeks useless app

Savings account details proudly displayed for all to see in the home tab without logging in if you didn't hide the details before closing the app previously. Only if you hide before closing will it be hidden on the next launch and require login details to unhide. Someone screwed up their basic if then else algorithm including whoever's in "checked by" and "qc". Edit: Get locked out suddenly and need to reset password, and for some reason the app says unable to use old password? Wait 24 hrs.

Very very bad. 9 out of 10 times the website service is not available and have to try another time. This is very bad for a financial service provider. Can definitely do much much better as a local bank leader. The MAE app is also not user friendly and need way more improvement to be in par with international standard. Consider to change bank even just use for 2 months.

Scan QR payment loads indefinitely. Tried to check transaction history but it showed empty. Queue got too long. No choice, I paid using GXBank and with the same Maybank Duitnow QR, no slowness. After leaving the stall, I checked using online banking, the money was indeed deducted. I made double payment! How do refund from the merchant? Later, I tried reinstall the app and even tried few iPhones, same problem. You guys can't even load the transaction history. Just stick to online banking. Sucks!!

I tried transferring money from my main account to my MAE wallet, but Secure2u took too long to load, causing two failed attempts. Surprisingly, the money was transferred twice despite the failed attempts. When I tried to transfer one amount back to my main account, it failed. Now, I'm stuck with double the amount in my MAE wallet. Very disappointed.

For the past 3 weeks, i always have issue with this apps. With error message "Be Right Back! We are unable to process your request. Please try again by quitting the app or by unliking your M2U access". The only option to continue using this app is by choosing "unliking" options. Then I have to start over the whole process like a new user. It happened to me 3 times in just a week. What happened to this apps?? Can you the iOS developer do something about this??so troublesome.

Very inconvenient. If you change phone or reset the phone, have to go to ATM to re-register with debit card. No other bank does it this way... Edit: Developer commented. I repeat, no other banks uses this inconvenient method in the digital age. They either allow reregistration and/or verification through SMS or the old phone's app, or they provide dial in customer service verification and will actually help you clear the old device and you can register the new device. MAE = not smart process.

Mae as an e-wallet is a good idea, but merging all transactions into one platform, which is MAE, is a big hassle. We just want effective and secure apps to handle all money transactions. Keeping it separate is a better approach, especially since older people find it very difficult to use Mae. It is very fancy with unnecessary features that are barely used. Push notifications are never able to be enabled, and all transactions have been declined. I guess I need to change my dad's smartphone.

Overall great and easy to use. But don't know why this app requires access/permission to use my contacts, phone and location. And because I have denied permission to these, I keep getting "Denying permission request will cause the application to behave unexpectedly." every time I open the app. I'd like to know why MAE needs access to my contacts, phone and location.

Just about to setup the account. However, it failed me a few times already. Up until now, I cannot use it. Uninstalled and installed, hoping the problem resolved. When it comes to "Pick a primary accout for your wallet" part, as i clicked continue, the loading never ends. I am rushing to use it since I need to check my asnb acc. But this issue is very very upsetting. Hopefully i can hear something from the developer about this issue. Thank you.

App is constantly asking for password (like after an hour of inactivity) to do banking or e-wallet transactions even though I have enabled biometric authentication, that is extremely frustrating. People are using password manager apps nowadays so having to open it up and then copy-paste the password every single time, seriously how is that convenient. Back button triggering the "exit app" prompt instead of behaving like a real back button is annoying.

This app shows a wrong balance for my FD accounts. I nearly got a heart attack because it shows that some money is missing. Some of my accounts are not listed. I contacted the bank and they confirmed that all my money are still there. Told to delete and reinstall the MAE app. Same problem. My total deposit balance is still short. Something wrong with this app. Please fix it quickly.
