This app is now more difficult. A few years ago, the app was more information intensive and showed an ease of communication from their own telephone numbers to their own email or text ability. That has gone, or they were buried. The app has been streamlined to compete with bumble, tinder etc. What made it standout has now been deleted from it.

The app asked me to rate and review... so here it goes. Mediocre app. A little buggy and has issues remembering to notify you when you get a like or a message. The app and website have different options which makes creating a profile difficult. Often get promotional pricing notifications, but there is no way to find that promotion within the app unless you click on the notification. And if you navigate away its gone forever.

This app sets you up for failure as there is no way of knowing if a potential mate has subscribed in order to see any messages you send. Even if you have a paid subscription there's no way of knowing on the other end. It will only tell you if they've read it after you sent it. In short just because they are on there, doesn't necessarily mean they are active. Furthermore I see some of the same profiles with the same pictures and same narrative from 10 years ago. Very unsettling.

I have used paid Match twice, a few years apart. This time in 2024, it falls very short. On both desktop and mobile, their interface won't let users send initial, or introductory, messages, to desired people of interest. The option to do so is only available at random (even if you hit "like"). This passing by of people means means missing out on exactly what you came to Match for. And paid good money for: unacceptable. Their "Help" section doesn't address this.

It seems when you accidentally unmatched with someone you will never find them again. I even wrote customer service and they wrote back directions for me to fix the issue play clicking an icon that's not available. They're going to tell me to contact the help center to fix my issue which I've already done. I clicked on the link you sent me in your response and there was nothing that meets the criteria for what I'm trying to do.

I can't see small pictures well enough on my PC (You can't zoom on PCs on Match). I end up having to "like" the person so I can look on my smartphone (I can zoom there). Also, I'd like to see the person's profile on my smartphone while I send them a note. Yesterday, I made a purchase in the app, and now, every time I open it, a screen pops asking for my name to complete the purchase that was already charged to my credit card. Waiting over two hours for a tech support chat!

Matches are hundreds of miles away. You have to scroll thru hundreds and profiles to finally find 1 that may even live in your same state. I've contacted Match numerous times and they refuse to fix the issue even though I have sent my required distance as up to 30 miles. I sent a message to the link you provided and all I get is some stupid canned response. No explanation as to why you changed the criteria a couple of weeks ago and now you refuse to change it back. I don't recommend this app.

I cant say I like their hypothetically deceptive practices when one cancels paid membership and all of a sudden there are a bunch of likes and such to encourage a re-up, and they dont exist when you pay again. Searching by name was removed a while back, so searching for the ones highlighted but cant click like on is disappointing and a clear grasp for cash by charging for superlikes. Still, it's a popular app.

It's not terrible, but not as good as the full site. You can't see your inbox as you can when you access the full site. Additionally, as someone else said, their algorithm isn't really accurate, and it shows people who are not what are in your preferences. UPDATE: Not everyone shows up that should. Someone who was in my highlights and fits what I'm searching for doesn't show up. I wonder how many other profiles are missing. (down another star)

I am very disappointed in this app. I set up criteria, i.e., age, body type, ethnicity, distance, but the profiles sent come nowhere close. I have a paid membership, but I've noticed that some of the members I'm truly interested in only appear in the "highlighted" section & if I want to contact them, I have to BUY a Superlike. These members are never seen as I'm scrolling thru. Also, you either have to 'X' a profile or send a "like" to a member: there's no way to save for a later return.

It's very expensive for just a few features. You have to pay premium to really use the app. For example, you only get 2 filter options, even on the basic pay ($89) tier. I also see the same .matches some times even though I removed them. I wanted to give this app another chance, but it's more a scam now than ever.

1- OUTDATED PHOTO EDITOR. Has no decent editing capabilities. Turns photos sideways. 2- DISCRIMINATION ON COVID SHOT STATUS. Those of us who didn't get the shots are forced to not say anything or to choose "not yet vaxxed". Support stops responding when you report this. 3- UPCHARGES. You have to pay for "highlights" aka: getting access to more physically attractive people. 4- NO AUDIO CHATS. Support says they won't bring back audio chats, which are an easier, safer option before going video.

This is a rip-off! Even after paying for the premium level of searching, they still try to charge you more!!! It's like they hold the best matches for ransom and try to get you to pay more to see them!!! What a SCAM!!! Taking advantage of people that just want to find a date... The app is BROKEN! It keeps asking me to enter my name to complete my purchase, but then you can't enter it! It does this every time I look at a new profile from the list, THEY SENT ME in an email!!! Ridiculous!!!

So it does work to find dates, but the experience leaves much to be desired. Its very expensive for what it is and even if you do pay it proceeds to ask for more money to interact with certain profiles. The events is great feature, but only if you live in NYC or like to date while travelling. That said tho, it is better than any other app I tried (OKC, CMB, tinder, etc..). It needs to either be cheaper or give you more for your money

The app has many flaws. What's the use of filters if nothing is followed. Feels like they are trying to push a game of numbers rather than provide quality matches. Even ig you passed on someone they eventually return to the rotation. Premium in concept makes sense but doesn't really add value. Hard to say you will "match" with someone you're actually looking for. Week the algorithm and mbe this app will serve its purpose. Like if value is null then don't show if a selection is a must

Good experience. Some quality individuals appeared online. I would like the option to simply "like" an "intro" picture. Presently, only "x" or "message" options are offered. Also, I would like to delete matches from the "match" page just to organize my page; however, the delete option virtually blocks all communication with the individual- which is not my intention.

This is 8th dating app that I've tried for a month, and it was a waste of time. After filtering (which was limited w/o a subscription) and dismissing likes and dislikes. There were no more results for the rest of the time I used the app. The unique feature that the app has was their 72-hour feature that starts on Thursdays. It gives you a map overview to see other members and socialize and ask out. But I never got to use it because I was either busy half the time and wasn't anyone in 100 miles.
