The app is fairly accurate at determining cat sounds, though it doesn't always pick up sounds exactly and it can mistake your voice or other noises as cat sounds. You can fix inaccurate translations, and I like the algorithmic learning system as it picks up cute and specific translations from others' translations. However, there's some glaring issues with the app. One minor issue is you can't edit everything after recording, which can be problematic if you accidentally record for the wrong cat. The worst issue with the app is that it WIPES ALL YOUR RECORDINGS IF YOU EVER LOG OUT. What frustrates me is that I didn't even log out on purpose, and I don't know why the app even logged me out, and now all my previous recordings are gone! I used the app to understand a stray we took into our home, and playing back the recordings of my cats' voices was always very therapeutic during times of stress. Now all of those recordings are GONE. What's the point of having an account if it remembers your cats but not their recording history? Please fix this problem ASAP! I am heartbroken that I have to start from scratch, especially when it's difficult to put my phone in the right position to record meows. I don't want to put all that effort into something that gets easily erased!

I've tried it multiple times on a few devices w different accounts. It never works and keeps crashing, I thought it was just the way the app is until someone else vouched that they didn't have any problems setting it up. My cats are hella talkative and this would be cool if I could try it but oh well

Like any other human language translator, some of the literal translations seemed odd or silly at first until we started looking at them in context of the situation. We realized "I don't feel so good" with "I see my prey" while leading us into the kitchen meant he was upset that he knocked his favorite toy next to fridge and couldn't reach it. It's really helping us understand and meet our newly adopted cats' needs, and we recommend this app to all our friends with feline companions.

I like this app a lot perhaps because I love cats so much. I have 8 cats and the app lets you create a profile for at least that many. I have lots of fun recording their different vocalizations. The one way they could improve the app is in the History category, because it does not indicate the name of the cat that "said it." BTW, I tried to fake it out by mimicking cat vocalizations and it doesn't record them. It only recognizes and records authentic cat sounds.🐱

Fun little app, but it's not free. Won't let you see any translations until you subscribe, and I don't know if it's worth $3/month. It doesn't always seem to pick up the meows, and the "translations" are limited, and questionable, at best. You can alter the translations or add your own to make it more "accurate," but if you already know what your cat is saying to do that, then why use the app at all? Also, I was hoping I could set it up to listen with Google Home, but it's not supported.

It doesn't pick up my cats' chatter, and when it does, it "blurs the translation" and you have to watch an ad to unblur. It's just frustrating and feels entirely like a cash grab, especially for the amount of times its failed to pick up my cats' yelling. I wouldn't rate it poorly if the first few translations per day were free or something, but having to watch ads to even try it at all is🤢 Edit: if you use neighborhood cat it doesn't blur the translations

I cannot open this app. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it finally loaded, at which point I created an account. When I tried to sign in I received an error, "Something goes wrong. Check your connection settings". I would really like to use this app, but these current issues are frustrating. I use Google Pixel 3A and android 11.

Used to be cute. Now, an ad pops up or plays while trying to record a meow. Literally every time you press translate. It records for a second then an ad starts even if a meow wasn't even recorded. Usually, it's a loud video ad too. Tramslation is wrong or blurred telling you to watch another ad or get a subscription... no. Deleted my account and the app after two minutes.

I understand the app is brand new. My review may change after updates. Setup was simple. Log on info, cat's name, etc. Once I closed the app, it hit a network error upon trying to reopen it. I have high hopes for the future of things. [Edit] The network issue goes away of you are off of WiFi.

I don't mind watching an ad to play and ignoring it for 30 seconds to support the developer, but 3 ads to get one translation? My friend, that's not going to help you. @reply if you would've read what I said, 3 ads to unblur, when you said there is only one. So something is wrong here. And it's not going to help much. Otherwise, it barely picked up anything my cat said. When it did, I had to suffer through 3 ads. No thanks. Thankfully I speak their language.

Doesn't work, tried making account, it failed saying "something goes wrong check your connection settings", now when I start the app it doesn't even get that far, just immediately displays the same error message. Tried restarting my phone, same error. Tried reinstalling, same account creation error and subsequent app launches provide the same error message.

Not a free app! Just want to say that right off the bat! You can't do anything beside make your cat's profile without paying. Also, I went into this with pretty low expectations for translation accuracy (just in it for the novelty really), but they were REALLY wrong. When it picked up my cat's voice at all, that is. Admittedly, she makes some really weird noises, but an angry growl is definitely a cat noise, and definitely not "I'm happy!"

07/05/22 - Went to use the app and my cat's words were gone. Wanted me to subscribe at cost to retrieve. Bye! 11/13/20 - I've tried to use this many times. Errors most of the time. I reinstalled it and still errors. It worked for a few minutes last night and ever since I get more error messages. I have uninstalled and restarted my device and reinstalled with no ability to sign in or skip and use and constant errors. I have Samsung Galaxy S9+ with the most recent updates. Good luck to you all!!!

Before when it was an app, one and done, totally free. It was amazing, I would have given it 5 stars. Now, I have to spend money for it and it's no longer worth the effort. It records and does one meow at a time, constant ads, and blurred text "translations". They used to be great, relevant to the context of the cat, and I would have given it an 80% successful rating. Now I can't see what happens real time with multiple meows and it's often wrong when it does. Disappointing they went this way

All I get is application errors. I can't sign up, no matter what I try. At first, I kept getting an "application error" message. Then I got a message saying that my email address was already in use. I tried resetting the password, uninstalled and reinstalled the app 3 times, tried using a different email address... nothing worked. I can't get into the app at all.

App used to work years ago, but it's been broken for months now. Sign in has ALWAYS failed in the past due to "network connectivity error" even though I'm definitely online. Now that accounts have been made mandatory in order to use the app, it's just a waste of space. Also lost all of my cat meow recordings not because of a paywall, but because I must make an account, yet, sign in always fails. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, didn't fix the problem. Trash.

I was originally excited to play around, hearing my cat (Loki💜) in English. I didn't expect perfection, since there are tons of things even experts don't know to translate yet, but I thought that at least it could pick up my cat's meows, but it didn't. Also, the ads in the app are waaaay over pushed. You can record the cat's voice, then watch an ad, then see a screen that wants you to watch an ad to unblur the translation. Only then can you see the phrase. It's a good idea, but it needs fixing.

Bait and Switch I haven't used this in quite some time; opened it today and saw it needed to be updated. Ok, fine. While that was going, I happened to see some very bad reviews. Lo and behold, they were all correct. I opened the updated app to find all my cats recordings are gone and a big sign "inviting" me to upgrade to a premium account to basically use it at all. Thanks, but no thanks... I'll be deleting it as soon as I submit this. Way to ruin a decent product, developers!

MeowTalk, what happened to you? A couple years ago, you were amazing. My cat loves to have conversations and I could translate in real time and see how her mind worked. I loved the app and recommended it to so many people. I shared screenshots on social media. Having to watch an ad between each translation is stupid, as is a monthly fee. $5-10 one and done purchase? I'd do it immediately to get rid of ads. Not paying $3+/month though. Especially without seeing improvements.

Yikes! No more free. This is way too much fun and surprisingly accurate. the microphone is very sensitive and picks up even my cats tiny, wimpy little meows. it just told me that he's saying pay attention to me. as I was tapping that's correct, he pounced on my foot to be sure he got my attention. confirming a translation is one simple press. if you disagree, pressing a different button brings up a list of translations for you to choose from or type in your own. Multiple cat capabilities too.
