When I first purchased the glasses early September of 2022. the app and glasses were working great. I was able to connect and play music and take calls, upload and edit videos. After a recent update this month Dec 2022. I am having connection issues. Can't play music or take calls. I can only upload videos. Once the connection issues are fixed I'll bring my rating back up to 5stars.

I just purchased the glasses, I can't sync photos or videos, and the app itself keeps telling me "connection issue" "cannot reach server". Even when it was working ,I would just get a download photo icon but it wouldn't download. I've had issues with the app from the beginning. I deleted the app, reinstall several times and the issue persists . Aggravating, considering its an expensive gadget.

No way to turn the app off completely. It doesn't close from the 'running apps' screen, and the notification 'View is running' is always up. The "allow background activity" option is turned on and grayed out, there isn't any way to disable it. The app needs location access to transfer files, but you can't have it ask for location permission when you tap to download files. You CAN select 'when app is running' ... but there's no way to turn the app off, so location is always on, wasting battery

Initially worked fine but required a factory reset from time to time to clear out the cache and keep it working but now the app crashes when trying to reconnect after my most recent reset. Very disappointing. Only had the stories for about 2 months now. And while the hardware seems to be fine the app is lacking quite a bit to provide full use of the product.

Tries to constantly run in the background. Not cool, when this changes I'll rate it higher because it's not a bad app. But let's get real, nobody wants a Facebook app constantly running in the background for no good reason at all. Edit: dropped out to one star because the product as a whole sucks, and the app still runs silently in the background even though it's been months, and these were advertised with "when their off, their off" ** BUT the app will sit there collecting data on phone

Very disappointing. It was working fine until meta change the way to log on. It took more than one month to fix that issue. It took a combination of 6 emails and phone calls to resolve it. Now, there's an update which I downloaded, but the option to install the upgrade is nonfunctional. I had better expectations from Facebook than what they are delivering.

The app produces enough technology to compile several few seconds of users short videos, allows users to select the best seconds to highlight of each clip, add a title to the video, and three different selections of music + different scrambles of the compiled short clips of video. The problem is that the Ray-Bay glasses need to be connected to the app and that's a hassle. Anecdotally, if the glasses have less than 40% charge the glasses refuse to connect.

Has gotten worse over time, wish there was an alternative. I really enjoyed using the Creations feature, but it mysteriously vanished, and when I ask Meta on social media why that is, all I get is crickets. And the app crashes constantly, simply when I tap on buttons in it. I love the hardware, but this companion app sure needs some love.

Edit: now I can't even access settings. The app just force closes. Highly disappointing from such a major company. Glasses randomly refuse to be seen by the app. Occasionally (once every few days) my Meta Wayfarers can no longer connect to the app even though they are connected to the phone and able to play audio. The only fix I've found is totally wiping the app, factory resetting the glasses, then doing the pairing/setup process again. Extremely annoying.

Won't update, I just got the glasses today and every time I try to get the app set up it says we ran into a system error, I hit update and about halfway through it says system error. Everytime I try to restart the update the same message keep popping up and still haven't been able to update or even use the glasses yet. I've tried a factory reset, tried deleting app and reinstalling it, restarting my phone, disconnecting wifi and Bluetooth then going though the process again. Nothing works!!!!!!

The glasses work great, the build is solid but it's still just plastic. The app is fine and it works but it's a little clunky when a recent update made it less enjoyable to use. The photos and videos transfer seamlessly which is the most important part of the app. For the past several weeks, a daily notification pops up that an update is ready to install, but it fails. Sometimes it can be updated manually, but most of the time it just doesn't work.

Incomplete. Can only connect 2 glasses at a time. And it works terribly. My glasses are on connected but the app doesn't recognize them? Wos To respond to their response: Service obviously can't fix how the app is coded. I contacted them, they told me tough luck, they'd bring it up, and I'd just have to wait to be able to add more than 2 glasses which again is madness. Connection issue was a one time thing, service takes forever and didn't help (not the service employees fault they were good)

Utter trash. It keeps sending notifications about keeping the app on, it keeps demanding to not restrict battery usage as if it wants to spy on everything, and the glasses won't stop beeping if you turn off audio and calling features via Bluetooth settings. I just want to take pictures and videos. This app is way worse than it should be. It's like they are putting an effort to make themselves more hated and untrustworthy.

Glasses just stopped switching to glasses camera for livestreaming. Tried restarting.. force restarting and factory resetting. Nothing. Glasses will capture photos and videos. Just the double pressing to switch to glasses camera will not work. Sometimes it'll beep like it switch but doesn't show it on the phone. Don't use it much but when i decide to use it or when i have stuff to capture... it just doesn't work . Super frustrating

My biggest issue with these glasses and this app right now is that the pictures and videos will not import. No matter what I do. Disconnect, reconnect, soft reset, hard reset, factory reset, force stop. Even after fighting to connect the glasses to my wifi the media still won't port. It constantly says auto import starting soon and then nothing. It's there an update or some help with this?? One of the main reasons I bought them.

I've had the glasses for a few months now. I've had a great experience with them, but recently the glasses refuse to audio Bluetooth connect to my phone. I've tried restarting my phone and factory resetting the glasses. Nothing will work. Update: I've already tried all the troubleshooting methods and they're still not connecting

Update issues After the latest update call volume is really low. AI can barely be heard outdoors. The setting got adjusting volume for the AI is no longer in the app. The glasses are basically unusable outdoors or in loud environments. To be clear, this is a new issue. The glasses used to be loud enough, but now they're whisper quiet. This is after swiping and looking at audio settings.
