STREET SWEEPING NOTIFICATIONS!! this app does everything you expect (tells you how much money you owe, etc), but also tells you when you park in a street sweeping area!!! this saved me $76 today, in addition to the $80/month I saved by switching to metro mile. it also functions as a lojack system, and tells me how much gas I have (which is awesome, because my dashboard is broken) I never thought that I would love my insurance company, but I do now.

the app doesn't work. I says that it's not receiving signal and charing me 150miles day! I rarely drive my vehicle. At first they just charged me a descent base rate with millage which was fair. But now even when I turn the vehicle, and get the device to work. Metromile claim that they aren't receiving signal. Over 30min on the phone and no one answers to get things resolved. They once sent a shady mechanic that couldn't jump start my vehicle, which was a total scam. Be careful!

I've had a great experience with metromile so far and the app is very useful and helpful. No complaints whatsoever, when I have needed to contact customer service I was helped right away. Would recommend based on my experience so far!

Haven't had to use file a claim or call customer service yet which is good, but the app and company can be better. They say you can't manually pay because you have to wait until the end of the current cycle to pay the total because it varies. Yes the milage will vary but the base rate does not. They should allow you to pay that anytime in that month's cycle since it's a constant amount. Would make things easier for us living on a budget to pay when we can as long as it's not late.

Do not recommend . It is definitely a bait and switch situation. When I initially started the rate was great! immediately after the first 6 month period ended my rate was increased heavily. The rate increased so much it almost amounts to as much as you would normally pay for car insurance. The worst part is because of this you have to watch how much you drive even though your already a low mileage driver. They also do not offer 25,000/50,000 coverage so you may have to buy too much insurance.

This app is really good. The car health feature is amazing. I recently get my car repaired and app shows few alert codes. When I took it back to the service center, they rectified the problem. These codes weren't displayed in my car dashboard. So this app is really helpful.

Horrible Insurance. Save yourself a headache. 2 Pulse Devices malfunctioned on a vehicle that I don't drive much. I returned them and I was charged for miles I never drove. 3rd one started to malfunction now but the app doesn't even tell me that. I got an email instead. These people don't know how to run a business. Website says the company receives calls up till 6pm. Incorrect I called at 4:40pm and was told it was closed on 2 separate occasions. Contacting them through email is slow too.

Very dissapointed recently in coverages. You're required a minimum of $250 deductible, and maximum $30 daily rental. No problem! Insurance is a great price, but here comes the issues... First, rental cars cost more than $30 per day. Metromile needs to adjust this. Second, I sufferred glass and body damage from the same incident, and now I'm required to pay two separate deductibles for each. That's $500 out of pocket. Third, my repair shops been waiting weeks for glass payment, with no response.

The insurance is a decent price for about a year. I started at $35 a month with 15¢ a mile. Six months later, $45 month 20¢ a mile. Now, $95 a month 17¢ a mile. I have no accidents and barely drive the car. I cancelled and went with AAA. $86 a month unlimited miles. They also have an app and if you're a good driver, you get discounts.

Tried to call for roadside assistance with the app. Got an error saying my policy did not have roadside assistance. My policy absolutely does have it, and yes, I checked to verify. Had to call the number for state roadside assistance for the highway I was on. Also, Metromile's roadside assistance didn't actually get back to me until TWO HOURS LATER (when I no longer needed help, thankfully). Three stars for the app overall. Minus two for functionality and service!

I live in San Francisco, and don't drive much (except for the occasional day trip) When I got Metromile about 4 years ago, their base rate was $30 and per mile rate was < $0.04. Over the past 4 years, their base rate went up to $52, and per mile rate went up to $0.08, effectively doubling our monthly premium. Now it costs more than a conventional insurance company! No thanks, Metromile! I'll pass.

like they say... it is what it is... i think if the gps location had the satillite landscape option to locate my vehicle, that would be hot. Unfortunately, its not. grrr. hopefully the developers would consider it as an option. 😉 hint hint. Now for the past few days I haven't been able to log in on the app, but going to the website I can log in. All I want to check is the location of my vehicle. It says that my policy has been cancelled. We are all paid up to date.

Excellent auto Insurance company. After being with Geico, State Farm, and Travelers, I found Metro mile offered excellent coverage plans and rates. I have been with Metro mile for almost 2 years, and I'm totally impressed and 100% satisfied. The customer service support is excellent, the app always accurate and never "down", and the times I've had to call for roadside assistance (keys lockout) had the locksmiths show up within 10 minutes of the first phone call. A 5 Star auto insurance company.

The device started reporting my car being garaged across the street from my house, even though on the dashboard it always appears to be in the correct location. Metromile thought my address had changed and sent me ONE email asking for proof of address. I missed the email, they didn't reach out again, and one day I wake up and my coverage is cancelled. One email before cancelling makes me feel like they didn't really want to try very hard, which feels very disingenuous.

For an insurance app, having to sign back in constantly makes this dangerous. In a high stress situation, such as being pulled over, I expect an app with critical information to be immediately accessible. When I had Allstate, their app cached the last login and even with no cellular and having not opened the app for months, I could still grab proof of insurance. The Metromile app on the other hand seems to log me out and dump its cache after each update, or randomly for no reason. >:(

Easy to use app, excellent affordable insurance! My commute is less than 10 miles round-trip, so MetroMile has been great for my family. Even on months that we've taken long road trips, we've never had to pay over $60/mo for two cars (not full coverage) which is still way better than what I was getting before. In normal months, I pay around $45 and more recently, with Covid, it's always around $38. I love it as much as a person can love auto insurance.

We chose metromile because I was driving a very short distance to work but still needed a car. They had the most competitive rates and an easy to use app. Over the course of 2 years my rates steadily increased with 0 notification from Metromile. Because the increases are on a per mile basis, they appear tiny, but add up significantly. We finally got so frustrated that we switched to Geico, which is significantly less expensive. This company uses shady growth tactics, do not trust them.

I had a BAD experience with Metromile and don't recommend. As long as there is no issue with your car, it's fine. But the purpose of insurance is to be there when things are not fine. So my car battery died. I requested roadside assistance and it was a nightmare. "Stride Towing" didn't show up .. THREE TIMES!! It took me over 4 calls and numerous complaints just to get a jump. When I asked customer service for any compensation for my lost time, Metromile said they don't do that. Avoid MM.

Could have been really useful, but when my phone upgraded to Android 12 this app drained my battery fast, and I couldn't turn it off. Besides, it's only great in case of car trouble, if you have the insurance. The part that reads engine codes didn't tell me why my engine light was on -- so that was a fail. It rated my phone use while driving in a way that makes me think it confuses me driving my van with riding as a passenger in another car. Lots of potential for improvement, not there yet.

It used to be affordable until WA state got rid of the credit score requirements. My bill used to be $170 for 3 vehicles, then it kept going higher and higher each month to $290. After many years, I went back to Geico and am paying $180/month with unlimited miles & the same coverages. It was cool to see driving trips mapped out, location of where you're parked, etc, but it's not worth it anymore if you're trying to $ave.
