I needed a metronome with options that my wind-up metronome lacks: any time signature, like 3/4, 6/8, or just 1/1 (all beats the same). This app does that better than others I tried, and adds a range of click sounds and other options.

i have been using this metronome since three years and over the time it got better and better! Beautiful design, advanced rythms, polyrythms, presets for drum rythms, you can decrease and increase tempo or mute bars for better practicing. It is fully fledged and definitely one of the best!

After the addition of the mute random bar/beats feature on last update, the app is now much more complete! Also very easy to use. recommended. Said feature has a bug tho: when I select mute random beats and then random bar the selection stays on random beats. Once that is fixed, I'll give the apo 5 stars.

I'm a drummer needing a programmable metronome. Tried a few others but this is the only one that has a working facility to back up my data and import to another device; that's worth the money in itself! There's a couple of things I'd love to see for a future version, just to make it perfect. 1. As people have mentioned, there's a slight delay between hitting start and the click starting, especially in "Live" mode. I use it mostly for visual reference during live performance and have to restart the click if there's drift. It's hard to sync unless the click starts immediately. 2. Having a MUTE button available in Live mode would be great (same reason) 3. I'd love to be able to programme a simple click per song without having to make a preset first. 4. Why can't you select a song directly in Live mode rather than just Next/Prev buttons? 5. REALLY need proper subdivisions per beat rather than just a load of numbers. e.g. I use 1st&3rd triplet for swing/shuffles 6. Please can we have an loop option in presets? 7. A "skip to next section of song" in Live mode would be amazing especially if you add the "Loop" option. Have to use two separate songs to do this now. Great app though, thanks!

I actually rated this before on my old phone. It's the best metronome I have ever owned. I would like to have the option of selecting for tempos as were on the old analog metronomes. also, I would like to be able to program long and short beats such as one would find in Balkan music (with the short beats as quarter notes and long beats dotted quarter notes. I would pay a lot for that!)

My go to metronome app. Love all it's features, lovely interface and perfect to use for any occasion where a click is needed EDIT Went to write another 5* review forgetting I already had done before. The drum sequencing and the fact you have different sounds to choose from is insane. This app is worth it all and I haven't even explored all of the features yet.

I love this app, can I make one suggestion though? Can you make it so, when you use the feature where your tempo increases or decreases as you play, your BPM goes back to what it was before? Maybe an option box in the menu there. That would be so great, as I find myself having to manually reset the tempo to whatever it was after each timed exercise. Great program though, I use it daily and thank you.

Love the new drums and polyrhythms - but there is a bug in both the free and pro versions (at least on small screens) ... Once you tap into a rhythm editor, there is an X in the upper-left corner that I believe should close the editor and return you to normal view ... For me, the X minimizes the entire app .... The only way to return to a normal view is to exit and restart the app.

For me, this is a perfect practice metronome. Options for appearance of each bar and 'click' variations are ideal. I use complex time signatures as we as different tempi and setting up and saving pre-sets couldn't be simpler. I have used it for around 3 months and am so glad I bought it. Highly recommended.

Been using only this metronome for years. It's accurate. Easy to calibrate and use. Ads are unobtrusive. Has some slick ways to change tempos, sounds and styles. I can even use lights to count tempo instead of sound. Has some cool built in tempo tracks if you like to experiment. I use it on stage and in studio.

I am a Tabla player who has been using the free version of this app for about 5 years, but bought the Pro version recently as this is pretty good with almost all the features i need, but one last thing I would need here the most is to have two types of accented tones to select independently on per beat basis, not just one (apart from normal tone and subdivision tone). Hope developers will implement it soon, Thank you.

I would say purchasing the full version has been worth it. I've never had a single problem with the app, and I'm grateful that it always has done what it's supposed to do without fail. The additional option to add presets in the full version makes it valuable. I used it as a substitute to a BOSS DB-90 and it worked 8n a pinch.

I'm drummer who uses this app to determine the optimum tempo for my band's songs. Sometimes I'll have guitar players play the speed they want and tap out the tempo to determine a starting point. Then we'll fine tune from there. Although I can play to an audio click, I prefer using the visual metronome function in rehearsals. Much less hassle. Also, I make full use of presets. Good app. Glad I got the paid version.

Does everything I need it to, and does it well. I had something that I couldn't figure out, and they responded quickly and effectively when I sent an email asking for help. If you are considering this app, it is 100% what you are looking for.

I love the concept of the app. A couple of things that would make it phenomenal, and I would pay four times more for the app, would be for the song sections to be named under the song edit module and then to allow changing of tempo and measure length there while being able to listen. This would make song prep a fraction of the time.

3/31/20 All features are working fine but after a while the app just stops. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Please fix. 8/23/18 Great app. I wish it had a measure counter. I'm not a musician, but I use this app daily to count my hold time for my morning exercises. Come on writing software isn't easy and you probably throw away $3.49 every day, don't be cheep buy the guy a coffee.

I've used this app for years now really good and simple but recently I needed a (timer clock.) If you could update the app with a (timer clock) that will be excellent. When you're playing to a song you could figure out how long the song is, where the breakes are and so on.(Thank you for letting me know that info about the timer...one thought I had is I use the app to play Drums live. Have it expand to a Bigger view. gracias

Hi! Very satisfied paying customer here 😁 I have been using this app for 4 years now, and I love it. Lots of options and programmability. And I have a couple of suggestions. It would be nice if you could adjust the volume on the beat subdivisions. It would also be nice to have the option for the beats to flash (ie. be visible) even when they are muted (but also not flash when I don't want them to, like the app is now). It'd also be nice to fit more than 16 beats per bar. Keep up the great work!

Probably the best metronome app out there I like the granularity you have for defining metronomes (beats per bar, clicks per beat). There's a powerful kit mechanism too for defining simple beats to play with. And then you can chain those smaller beats together into more complex patterns to play with. I'm sure there's lots more to learn, but super powerful and convenient! My go-to practice tool.

The speed trainer works great. What I love about it is that you can have it speed up to a preset tempo and then automatically slow down to a preset tempo. Being able to pick how many clicks per beat is also a great feature and makes practicing triplets a breeze. I only use the metronome and don't know if the drum feature works the same way. I'm using the Pro version and it has more features than I need. It is, by far, my favorite app on my cellphone.
