Great app! I've had this in my BMW since last year Sep/Oct & I've only had 2-3 minor issues. After this recent 6/2019 update this is a 4 1/2 star app. Love the new dashboard look & other updated features. I love having internet for my cars android head unit so Waze, Spotify & other fav apps can always be online w/o me having to use my phones hotspot. The trip, battery & diagnostic features truly help make this app along with it's corresponding OBD device a great tool for my car.

I've been having issues like the app would fail to connect to smartride device. Sometimes it would last hours to days or even weeks. The only times I can fix this on my side was to hit the restart button on device itself. So i have to fish my hand into a part of the car where i have it hidden, to do this about 3 times a week, kinda defeats the purpose of having it.

Minus 2 stars because of 2 reasons. 1 because it's completely unnecessary for me to have the low fuel warning notification if it doesn't monitor fuel and 2 because of the constant pop up notifying me to enable my location each time I move to a different screen and back to the main menu screen. Other than those 2 reasons it works great.

This is so awesome. Its on point with location and time. It detects problems your car might be having and tells you if your cars being disturbed, too. Its so easy to activate with your phone service. It provides me with security. Thats what I like!!! Definitely recommend this to everyone! Thank you!

When it works it works great which is most of the time, I find almost all of the features useful my only request is that some of it was more automated and the startup of the app can sometimes take forever. Every now and then there are some hiccups and I have to force close the app and reset it but those don't happened too often maybe if the app could become more effecient and consistent I could give a 5 out of 5 but other than that I really appreciate this service.

Error message: Device Unplugged!! I bought the smart ride device less than 3 months ago and downloaded this app to operate it. The metro by tmobile rep was very helpful and came out to my vehicle to install and setup the app. Everything work perfectly for the first month. Second month the wifi hotspot still works great and the app still push vehicle status notifications but when i open the app it says "Device Unplugged" so i cant see the trouble codes, gps location or any status communications.

It's so worth it!!! I tell everyone!! I got told about the promotional offer which was this car device when i had to buy my phone!! :) comes with wi-if service in car & a car breakdown & a All-State road side assistance!!! I've had for 5+ Hassel free & if use service it pays for itself!! I needed a tow & i thought ok here we go!!??? Called up & not a penny out of my pocket as I pay a monthy fee with my phone bill each month!!! :) it's 5+stars all the way!!!!!:)

I absolutely love metrosmart ride! So many benefits to installing one in your car. The only problem I have is with this app! The delay is crazy late! It just signed me out for the second time for some unknown reason only this time it won't let me sign back in. I can't even get in through the notification. So frustrating 😡.

I've had my MetroSMART Ride for years, and it's been amazing. Sure, it's glitched out in certain areas, causing it to disconnect and reconnect to the network a lot. But other than that, it's been a great way to keep track of my car. I love being able to see my driving habits, get alerts about potential problems, and even use it as a Wi-Fi hotspot. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great concept but horrible on electric & hybrid vehicles. Whenever car is under elect power, the device thinks it's being towed & a very LOUD alarm BLARES! The design flaw is it cannot be turned off in settings (strange) I contacted the app support, they weren't able to do anything.. God help u if u happen to have the phone on ur ear when it goes off!! On gas vehicles app has great decent and is bug free.

I like the somewhat accurate statistics it has when I drive my truck, but what I really don't like is that when I attempt to turn off the Wifi Hotspot, it gives me an error saying "Device may be offline. Please turn your vehicle on within the coverage area," when my truck is on and within signal range. It's wasting the hotspot data and there's nothing I can do about it.

It is accurate informative and helpful. Only one thing I wish it would do is pinpoint the disturbance. It keep reporting my car has been bumped but not where. Is it possible to get an attachment to take pictures of what's going on all around? It would be helpful in accident and pinpoint disturbace. Thank you great device. The more that I learn the new features and how to use them then I love it more.

Good app but sometimes it fails. Not constantly but it does when it doesn't notify disturbances. The other reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is the inability to export the trips. Developers should add the feature of Exporting Trips to excel, cvs, html, pdf, and Print to hardcopy. Useful tool when you need to turn in a full Trip Log via the mentioned formats instead of individual screenshots. Note: 2 years ago vehicle stolen, today broken into. APP FAILED BOTH TIMES.

I used to love the previous version but the service degraded over the last year, and now the upgraded version is even slower to respond. You can't even look at notifications anymore. Everything just links back to the last time you started the car. It's not useful anymore, especially if it takes up to an hour to notify you of a disturbance. One more thing...the program seems to be now mainly beneficial for vehicles made after 2012 UPDATE: The program no longer works with my 1997 Buick!!!!

I love the features, but the latest update created all kinds of issues. I can no longer open the app. It still sends me travel updates, but if I want to go look at something on the app itself as I have at other times, it unexpectedly stops. I've tried reinstalling and restarted phone. Whatever they did with last update, really messed it up for my phone.

App doesn't show location unless I sign in & out multiple times. Once location has updated it doesn't give the trip history. The app doesn't provide alert when the vehicle has been disturbed. The roadside assistance feature is easy to submit & contractors are great. I have used the service 4 times. The first 2 times there weren't any issues however the last 2 times the app gave the contractor incorrect location of vehicle. It sent the contractors to my home instead of the location my vehicle was

Excellent, i have an older 97 Tj Wrangler which means no new tech. Which is great but having the added diagnostic GPS tracking Wi-Fi what's the Wi-Fi, disturbance detection it's anti-Theft system but the Wi-Fi doesn't work that great have to be honest and a couple of other features really just makes my car more complete. But they really should get the Wi-Fi together from my understanding the company has stopped this program/ product entirely due to its lack of popularity.

Amazing. This app, WHEN INSTALLED AND ACTIVATED PROPERLY, works wonders. It had saved me so much money!!! If anything goes wrong, you get an alert letting you know before it's too late and you are stuck broke down somewhere. Had a bad crankshaft position sensor, so my car would randomly just turn off and then it would be difficult to start sometimes. So, I got a new part and popped it in and now my car is running way better!! The part cost me $9.00, And only took 30 mins. Love this app.

Worked great for about 2 weeks. Now it starts out and then reverses back to where it started then back again. It is like it is losing signal then regaining it. Hard to follow on the app map. Little car goes along on the road then after about 30 sec. backs up all the way to where the trip started then recovers and repeats the cycle. Can some one please help with this problem?

I love the metro smart ride, I've had it for about 3 years and have absolutely no complaints. There are so many benefits that come just from having it, trouble codes let's you know when an issue arises, the exact location of your vehicle at all times, it has a hot spot and state farm roadside assistance that's on the app. All you have to do is push a button and your atomatically connected. Im not sure why metro has discontinued the program but I sure am glad I get to keep mine. 10 stars
