More About Minesweeper Pro

This is the ad-free version. Enjoy the classic look and feel of the game as you work to mark the mines without uncovering one. You use the numbers of a revealed square to tell you how many mines are next to that square. Using logic, you figure out where the mines are and mark them. Watch out! If you make a mistake, a mine will explode!
The app features a clean interface and the minefield fits to your screen size.

There are three themes available: Classic, Light, and Dark.

Essentially this is a decent representation of minesweeper, but it's flawed. Many times I've been flagging mines when the game suddenly decides to switch off the flags and caused me to lose. I'd understand an occasional glitch, but it happens frequently. Uninstalling. Nice attempt.

It was really good until the last update. while it added the scrollable board, it also for some reason made the game really slow, adding a half second delay or so between tapping a tile and actually uncovering it, rendering it pretty much useless for anyone that doesnt want to play at a snails pace. Edit: got fixed in a new patch. thanks for the quick response!

Gotten very buggy since the update. Whenever you return to the app the map you're playing on and the map the software perceives is different, leading to situations where '1' is adjourning 3 mines, et al. Difficulty has gotten lower as well, with the number of mines in a map decreasing. Frankly speaking, a needless and self-sabotaging update.

Compared to other mine sweeper clones, this one is much more like the original Windows game, including its flaws. More modern apps use algorithms to make the game playable with logical thinking, but this game is truly random. A lot of guessing it's required, which is not very satisfying to me, win or lose. If you don't mind that, then this game is adequate. If you prefer a game that doesn't require guessing, then look elsewhere.

love it, but I wish that there was an explanation on how points are awarded. when I have a sub 3 minute game on expert, with the smallest tiles, I sometimes get fewer points than if I have a 3 minute game on advanced. Also, it seems that no matter how well I do, I can't get over 3.5k points, but the best score is over 9k.

This new experience is unnecessarily buggy, much easier and leaderboard scores are cheated there is no way of beating others since their scores are not possible through a normal gameplay anymore. This is one of the prime examples of how a game should not be updated. I played this game for many months before this update and now im sadly deleting this. Farewell

Absolutely love this app. The point system is a little strange, but it doesn't hinder the gameplay at all. You can customize the theme, size, and hold-tap timing to fit your personal taste, and no ads!! I was able to get the game for free, but $1.50 is a steal. I very much recommend this app to any minesweeper enthusiast.

It's minesweeper! It doesn't lag, and very well built overall.

It could be a cool minesweeper game, but it fails in the most fundamental thing: the level generation. In other minesweepers, the level starts after you first search for a mine, in such a way that almost always it is a blank space. In this game, though, more often than not you start with a 1, or a 2, and nothing else, and you just can try to guess until you uncover multiple blanks and can really apply the logic that defines the game. When this is fixed, I'll gladly change the review

Minimum long tap delay of 200 is too slow. Could there be options for 100 and/or 150? Too many times, I have pressed for not quite long enough, which explodes a mine. I would rather a false positive - long tap flag where I mean to reveal (harmless) - than a false negative, which immediately loses the game. In a timed game it makes sense that you want to be as quick as possible. I will up the review score if faster long tap delays are added, as the game is solid and true to the original.

it's alright, it's very bare-bones for what you see in apps nowadays style and mechanics wise. also it doesn't do that thing were it generates when you first click, so you have to randomly click around the board to find an open area hoping you dont hit a bomb. I've gone on very long streaks of it doing that. where it would just reload and reload

BUY THIS ONE - great purchase and have gotten many hours out of this one. clean interface and scratches the nostalgic itch. You have choices of classic and modern interfaces. Intuitive and simple. Does what it is supposed to do.

UPDATE: the app works with 3 button navigation! my life is significantly better now. thank you to developer(s) for listening and fixing original review: current version seems to be in conflict with 3 button navigation on latest android. can't get to bottom row of screen because of nav bar. if I'm old enough to be playing Minesweeper, I'm old enough to refuse gesture navigation. uninstalling, may try again someday.

it functions like minesweeper, the buttons aren't too small, and there's no ads. EDIT: played for a few days, only have one real complaint: sometimes when you're starting a game, you have the chance to only select a single square or even a bomb. I'm not sure if the original minesweeper had this issue, I'm certain it didn't, but it's fairly frequent in this app. no other issues that i see yet. I just thought this should be made known.

honestly since they fixed the performance issues the game isn't as bad, but I still lost ALL my game history (1000+ games), and now there's an annoying leaderboard message that pops up WAY larger than it should after every game. No way to turn it off either unless I opt out of leaderboards entirely. I liked the little points message but not when it takes up a third of my screen when I like to rapid fire games one after another.

Good, though not sure it's any better than others. After all, there's not much to it. It plays well & it's fast & easy to change settings, though I don't know what the differences between difficulties are; generally, difficulty in Minesweeper is managed by grid size. Achievements were very easy, but it's not stated how you actually get them, & I only got the "win" ones after winning multiple times. Finally, I may be wrong, but it feels like there's more guessing required than in other versions.

I've been playing this version of Minesweeper for a while now.... years? And the fact that I've stuck with it means that yes, I've liked it. Until this new 1.2.8 version was released. It feels like a complete rewrite of the game and that's a problem because it's gotten VERY slow. Before, every tap was basically instantaneous, but now? There's a very noticable delay and quite frankly, it makes the game unplayable, especially since it's a timed game where you're trying to find all the mines fast.
