I have not had issues with this app until this year. I never write reviews. What a horrible, infuriating app. MLB is making a joke of themselves with ads and bugs everywhere. Any video you watch, no matter how long, 15 second ad. Ohh it's 5 seconds long and didn't hit replay in time? Have the same 15 second ad before you rewatch it. I'll open my phone in portrait mode and load a video. 15 second ad. I try to rotate to landscape once it has loaded. Have the 15 second ad again. What a joke

I have had no issue with the video streams and until this year the audio streams were delayed but listenable. HOWEVER, this year, I can no longer listen to the audio streams I pay for. When selecting the audio stream button, I can see the radio station and game selection but every game feed is listed as "stopped" and never plays. I have restarted and reinstalled the app multiple times and it hasn't changed. I am extremely frustrated

No way to give feed back this is the only way. Video section is poorly designed. Video mute in settings doesn't function properly. Auto play video in settinge doesn't work. Videos are nowhere near in chronological order. Screen goes to sleep during video so no stay awake function. To play a video, with sound, on full screen mode, takes 5 screen touches plus some scrolling plus the occasional tap to stay awake. Don't know why this is hard for mlb but it is.

FIX YOUR AUDIO!!! How many complaints do you have to get before you do something about it? Never been an issue before this year, but you just cut off the announcers mid sentence with commercials. I figured out that you interrupt the audio broadcast to play commercials at the exact same time the video broadcast goes to commercial. Why does that need to be synced? Fix it and quit interrupting the announcers. Plus, audio drops constantly, but that's not new 🤷♀️

Update 6/5/24 Same thing again this year. App works for a couple weeks then switches my subscription status to Free then it will work again the next day as At Bat. Again yesterday switched me back as Free so I can't watch games consistently anywhere but on tv at home. **This app isn't recognizing my subscription so it's useless at this point. I emailed a request for help to the developer contact address listed above and did not receive a response. Since 3/30, mlb support has not fixed the issue.

Lowered my rating from 2 to 1 star. It's a pretty bad app, with a lot of quirks and bugs. Notifications either fail to load the indicated content, or they 404. The interface is inconsistent, sometimes scrolling up-and-down, and sometimes left-and-right. It's messy. An app update changed my theme back to light mode. For the ridiculous price of MLB.tv, one would think they could afford to do it right.

*Update: got the ol' try turning it off and on again from support. It's clearly the ads that are freezing the streams. The broadcasts work fine until commercials start. That's when the stream crashes and buffers. By the time you get the stream working again, you've missed half the inning and an ad is starting again, just to freeze back up Audio is constantly freezing. Constantly cutting out. Makes it almost impossible to listen to a game

Every year there's new bug with the audio that is annoying. This year, when listening to the radio feeds, there is a huge difference in volume between the broadcast and the commercials. The commercials are ridiculously loud and blow out my eardrums. To top it off the commercials cut off the announcers (in other words, the commercials come on while announcers are mid sentence).

On my Galaxy S23 (and S22 at least), the live audio drops constantly during a game, at least every 10 to 15 minutes and even more often. No reason is evident, although it could be tied to some notifications. But I can't turn off notifications (via "do not disturb") because then the audio doesn't play at all, which seems ridiculous... but that makes me wonder if the dropped audio is related to this. Otherwise I'm happy with this app. Audio problems and all, it's still my go-to for game day.

Broadcasters on the audio stream routinely get cut off by commercials. The commercials are also far louder than the game, which is obnoxious. Whoever is in charge of app development should be retrained or fired. The Amazon Fire Stick version of the app is garbage. It says games are blacked out when they aren't. If I can watch the game on my phone it should be available on my TV.

Right now I'm just really frustrated. I pay for the audio stream every year and have never had a problem... until this year. Every time I hit the "Audio" button to listen to a game I get the screen that displays the home and away radio stations but at the top of the screen it says "Stopped". I've tried everything I can think of and even called MLB support and the games still will not audio stream for me. I've even been able to watch the free game of the day but yet can't listen!

Update: 4/13/24 Another year, another horrendous app experience. Videos still wont play in full-screen per my review from last year. Highlight videos randomly stop and kick me back to main menu. 2023 review: They go out of their way with each new update to make this app suck more and more. Now, for some reason, when you tap a video, it plays the size of a stamp instead of going full screen like it used to. It's just one of many oddities within this very user unfriendly app.

As others have said, been using the app for Audio for years with no issue. This year however it constantly drops out during the game. Also, for years I have had no issues receiving game and news notifications from this app. This year however I have not received a single notification from the app. Finally, I've reached out to customer service multiple times via email and have received no responses other than an email saying my issue is being closed, without anyone addressing it. Do not use.

Update 4.2024. It's not fixed. We are all paying for a service that is clearly offered but not given, as MLB is FALSLY ADVERTISING IT AS AN OPTION. going on 3 years now. The audio is useless and does not work. Constant drops.××× 4/2023 Bugs. Bugs. Bugs. Freezes constantly. I've owned this app for many years. I've never experienced so many app freezes. Can't listen to a game for more than 5 minutes. Update. 8/2023 It's getting worse! It doesn't matter what device, the audio is useless.

App is mostly fine. The radio announcers do get cut off before it goes to commercial break, which is annoying. But the thing that is really getting me, the audio feed cuts off right when the game is over. Last season, and every other season before, you could listen to the recap of the game, which was only a additional 5 or so minutes. I don't know why that changed. For the amount of money that is charged, I should be able to listen to the full radio feed untik they sign off. Boo!

So far very unhappy with this app and subscription. Took a year off and returned this season and it's worse than before . $150 annually .. still lose games to blackouts and even worse apple tv... this is a premium subscription, we should be able to watch all games , every game . Also, now half the time I try to watch a game , I'm only getting the audio. To go along with that , the audio does not play in the background, if I leave the app or turn the screen off , the playback ends .. 👎👎👎

Well, you can listen to all the games, so that's a good deal for the subscription...but games drop randomly...the links on the GameDay tab stopped working mysteriously, so you can't access game summaries or box scores, which isn't ideal. In all, a good deal for the radio, but a slow and unreliable app.

The app worked great for years and on my numerous different phones. But ever since the last update, the app sucks. It is no longer enjoyable to watch a game because the app keeps glitching. For example it will start to return itself to the home page of the app then go back to the game seconds later and I never touched it it was sitting a good distance from me. This happens quite frequently and is exhausting please fix it soon..

For audio broadcasts, they decided to start playing alternative ads over the existing ads. Problem is, the alt ads begin too early and end too late, so you miss some of the call. Just pointless and greedy. Honestly I've been listening to At-Bat audio for almost 20 years and I'm just done. Switching to satellite next season. Don't forget the archaic TV blackouts are still in place. MLB has put their product behind 100 different paywalls, allowed blackouts, and can't even stream audio correctly.

I have held on to MLB.TV for a number of years now. I must be crazy! This streaming service is the absolute worst I have ever experienced. I am supposed to pay for and NOT SEE games because you doubled dipped and sold broadcasts to YouTube and other streamers (Apple, etc.). Shame on you for your greed. I am disgusted by this practice! New this year is the MLB.TV FREEZE. During every game, the screen freezes. Can't navigate away or turn off the tv! I have to pull the plug and reboot. PATHETIC!
