[Story]
At first look, the world you see may seem to be nothing out of the ordinary. Look beneath the surface however, and you'll find an unimaginable place filled with strange, dangerous, and delicious creatures.
The Society of Dark Cuisine is an ancient and mysterious organization comprised of brave adventurers willing to explore the unexplored and to taste the untasted. With the help of the mystical Sootsoot, they seek out and capture strange monsters in order to farm their divine ingredients.
And what do they do with these ingredients? Cook, of course! Back up above, the Sootsoot sell delicious meals to surface dwellers, raking in as much profit as possible to further expand underground. The Society of Dark Cuisine has operated for centuries, yet no one knows exactly who they are or what their ultimate goal might actually be...

Excellent game that doesn't have nearly as many users as it deserves. I'm not sure if it's still even being updated but there are still a good number of active users. Give it a try. My only compliant (if the dev ever reads this) is the amount of time it takes to hit level 10 - you make progress at nice pace but getting from level 7 to 10 takes too long because of a lack of a certain resource (it's not even a paywall thing, they don't even sell the resource that's slowing down progression).

I don't often leave reviews but this game is criminally overlooked. While not revolutionary by any means when it comes to the semi-idle genre, the great, moody artwork and surprisingly layered systems at work here are commendable. I haven't hit any sort of paywall (at least not yet), and other than a slightly iffy translation it has some good humor and a surprisingly compelling world. Would recommend if you are looking for a good time waster.

I really do love this game. The going is slow, but I feel like can go at my own pace, without it seeming like I'm lagging behind expectations. The monster variety is great, the art is fun and quirky, and the central gameplay loop is complex without having too many things to do. Just a fun, chill idle game that doesn't feel oppressive in asking for money.

I would have LOVED this game. If only I could log in. The concept of Monster Chef and all these quests and menu items seems very exciting, which is why i downloaded the app in the first place. but. We had to log in to Facebook for our progress to be securely saved. I don't have Facebook. See the problem? I wish you could log in on you're google play account, or email or something.

This is a good game, but after an update, they no longer allow you to watch ads in order to help further your progress...which is a big bummer! I have emailed the developers about it multiple times with no response. It appears to be a bug of some kind. I would not recommend downloading and playing this game unless you plan to spend your hard earned cash on the potions/banishers/etc...which I suppose is what they want.

Refreshingly new game for me! It is very addictive! It has just the right amount of variety to the game to keep me enthralled. The best part is the experimentation with recipes and the farming monsters is actually fun as well and there is a bunch of other minor quirks in the game that make it fun and keep it from being too repetitive. I love the art style and seeing the new monsters in their farm.

There is not much I can say about this besides the fact that it is a fun idle game. This idle game is like no other, it has a cooking experience, the waits arent as long as in other idle games, its fun enough to help you keep it installed, tapping on areas that inhabit monsters actually make you hear the monster's sound(s), the background sounds, and the hunter's voice (if there is one). Overall a VERY good game

Great game but confusing. How do you unlock the Academy under the friends/soy sauce menu? I got to lvl 51 but I still haven't figured out the Academy, and don't know where else to find an answer. As far as the rest of the game goes, it's fun if you like collecting things and achievement hunting. I hope some day they fix the ads or change the format of the game. You can play without them or paying money, but things take longer. Save your potions and look up recipes to not waste gold.

It's a really good looking game and the idea is really cool but like,,, the time it took to harvest the first crops is way to long and Everytime I'd check up to see if it's down, the timer never went down. Or did very slowly. I was hoping it was more like Idle Apocalypse in a way. But it just takes to long to get the food to cook anything. The tutorial was also very confusing. The only reason I kept it downloaded was just because how beautiful the game looked.

I like this game. A lot. But as of the last update, ads no longer play, which makes several aspects of the game pretty irritating. Like losing out on double profits, or boosting production and stuff. I don't know if the devs are planning on fixing it. If not, idk if I'll keep playing. If it is fixed, this is a 4 or 5☆ game, and I would recommend it. Otherwise, it's just meh.

This is a game with a well-designed gameplay loop that's managed to hold my attention for over a month. It does have an ad-watching mechanic, but the ads haven't seemed to work since before I started playing. HOWEVER! They did something incredibly smart that I've never seen another game do: there's an item you can collect by playing, that allows you to use it in place of an ad watch. What this means is that this is effectively an ad-free game, as they are not stingy with handing out these items.

So far the game is quite fun. I like the art style, and the gameplay is varied and different from other cooking games. There are challenges and quests, places to explore and recipes to unlock. Edit: Unfortunately, since the anniversary update, the game is laggy and often crashes. Sometimes it won't open at all, as in it can't connect to servers or player data not found. I can't recommend the game in its current state as getting it to work is a complete toss up at this point.

This is a very good game. It has fun art, genuinely enjoyable music, and a lot to do. The ad function doesn't work, but it's very possible to play this game without ever paying money, so that isn't TOO big a problem. My biggest gripes are that a) the tutorials are bad and thus the game is sometimes unexplained or confusing and b) researching recipes gets very expensive and has annoyingly low chance of success (you cannot boost some to 100%), and it also takes time, making it kind of annoying.

There's a lot going on in this game, but once you get the hang of it it's really fun. Tha art is adorable and the lore is macabre. There are some minor issues. Frequently the ads won't load for me. And the text for the tutorials goes really slowly, but if I tap to speed it up sometimes is skips things entirely and I don't know how to find the tutorials elsewhere

I love this game. It rewards it's players appropriately and it doesn't make it impossible to progress by blocking upgrades behind a paywall. I really have fun with all the different things there are to within the restaurant and I love the design of the monsters and foods. This is worth a look, if you're in need of something chill and long-term.

I am ashamed of myself...first thing's first, it don't make a difference but I DON'T write reviews, only a FEW games, have I written for. I'm ashamed, I kept passing this game up as "just another cooking game" but MAN was I wrong. The rare currency isn't ridiculously rare, you can skip ads and reap benefits, no ads (optional only), and it's not ENTIRELY about cooking. I think I'm in love, and I doubt I'll get rid of it! Please, keep it up! And thank you for the wonderful experience. C:

Don't know how I stumbled on this game but it's awesome!! My only 1 teeny tiny complaint is when making new recipes, I wish it told you how much of each ingredient you had! But this game has everything, it's cute, it has interesting mechanics /game loop, the soundtrack is great! There's no forced ads all the time, just gives you options to play ads to get free stuff, if you want to! I highly recommend this game, very well done!

Cute little tap and click cooking game. It's got an adventuring mode to off set some of the upgrade wait times and in-game payouts are very generous. It's a good game! The nice thing is you are not bombarded by ads and can chose when to watch them for rewards. I guarantee that I watch more ads when I control it than not. If you don't want to watch ads you never have too!!! Also its fairly price as far as I'm app purchases go. Overall very fun game!

Great game to pass the time. It has a fun illustrative look to it and the animations for the characters are entertaining. It does have ads which for the most part are optional to watch. That is until this last update. Now when you try to watch and ad to double rewards or to get Mortal's Banishers the ads won't load. I know most people don't care but I'm okay with watching ads to not have to buy things in game. Hope they fix that issue soon as I had felt it was a 5 star game before.

Omg! Literally one of the best games I played!! I absolutely love it! The story line is great, the quests are fun, and adding the cooking and exploration bit is impressively original! The game is refreshing and I'd say the very first concept of this type of style! Beautiful! I love the silly but creepy art style and unique animations!! I definitely recommend this game! Plus, they don't show ads unless you want to!! Very well made game!
