Day one purchase, no hesitation. I adore this game and have played it for dozens of hours on Steam and have more to unlock. The way that you supplement your clans with another pool is a lot of fun. Every clan has a unique design and finding what works is vital to your success. I'm terrible at these sorts of games but I keep coming back to this one. I saw it being ported to mobile and was beyond thrilled to be able to have this on the go. It is worth so much more than its asking price!

Has an annoying bug where you spend $10 for the full game and you still get stuck playing the free version with the 2 factions unlocked with the game occasionally trying to wipe your save when you try to change the settings like something as simple as volume adjustment is enough to freak the game out. It's wild that the mobile port made it this far into launch with problems like these. Very unsatisfied with the starting experience and hope to see it return to form like the PC Port.

it's a really great game that I've played a lot of on steam. if you like other games like slay the spire or grift lands, this scratches a similar itch. it's really great. I have, however run into bugs that keep you from unlocking later clans in the game. my save should have stygian but doesn't. hopefully that will get fixed soon. docking a couple points for that specifically for mobile port issues. The game itself is an excellent game

This will go to 5* immediately if they do some work on the ui for card selection. I truly don't understand how it got through play testing like this. The cards are so smooshed together and there is no way to quickly select other ones. All they need to do is add some more space between them so I can see what cards are in my hand. It's truly atrocious. Nobody uses 4 inch phone screens anymore. We all have real estate for more! At least give us a ui slider to decrease. ANYTHING.

they fixed the error I can sign in but at the main screen it just keeps circling with the white circle saying it's loading and never finishes loading. had to reinstall and it finally works. It's ok but buggy. I love deck builders like night of the full moon. this one is ok so far, I'll give a more detailed review after I play more.

gameplay wise it's great. it's monster train finally on mobile. I have 100s of hours in the PC version so was happy to buy it again to play on the go. but there are several bugs. settings can't be saved until you win a run. I have unlocked 2 of the clans but they don't show up on the selection screen. I also got a notification after one of the events saying game likes were corrupted so I thought that was the issue. reinstalled and still can't see them.

Absolutely Addicting! I've sunk a lot of time into this one and it's been a hell of a ride (pun intended!)! I'm usually more for action games but this one has won me over without a doubt. When you do fail in this game it's easy enough to learn from your mistakes and try again. By the way... the melting remnant is by far my favorite clan choice! Sooo much fun!

Tons of fun. Slay the Spire is one of my favorite games, and this reminds me of that but with its own personality. Did not give full stars due to bugs that need fixing. They fixed purchased clans not being available pretty quickly. However, there is still an issue where the extra clans are not showing in the log book, so you can't track progress. Also, I bought the game due to really enjoying it but found the prompt to do so incredibly obnoxious and frequent. Chill y'all, your game sells itself.

I've played monster train for a while now, started on my PC. I wanted more games like slay the spire, and this scratched that itch, but they are very different games. StS is a perfectly balanced game that often comes down to one or two points of health. Monster train is a game that's about how far you can push their systems, because if you don't, you are not going to win in higher levels. It's really quite a blast.

PLAYERS BEWARE: the game is as fun as it's always been, but I have twice in the past 24 hours lost the progress of my current run, just because of a failure of the game to properly connect on startup, resulting in it loading my profile with no run started, once with a Free-version run, despite owning the full game. You'd think with both local and cloud saves this would be easily preventable. But when I reconnect, it's still gone. Just...*POOF*! So much effort and unlock progress just...gone.

Decent mobile port, amazing game! I've already played this game extensively on PC and I always thought this game would work great on phone as well. The possible synergies you can create with your decks are huge and the decisions you make in battle and outside always feel impactful. As a mobile port they added a few UI adjustment to make navigation smoother, although you can still feel that it was meant for mouse usage. Overall I can only recommend it!

Absolutely fantastic game. I've bought this on 3 other devices and put hundreds of hours into it. Weird bug though: Apparently the game spaces out the cards in your hand based on screen height to width ratio of your phone. It's unplayable when I have my phone unfolded because the cards are nearly on top of each other since height to width is close to 1:1. It's fine with the regular main screen, which us close in size to a standard smart phone.

I love Monster Train!! I played it on PC and now I can take it with me. SO much replayability, close calls and brain racking strategizing galore, leading to some very satisfying victories. if you like rogue-lite deckbuilders, this game can bring you hundreds of hours of fun. Careful though, it's easy to get sucked into, and before you know it, you've lost hours of the day. The only negative I can think of is that it's certainly a battery drain. But so woth it, and for only 10 bucks!

Really good game to play! Engaging deckbuilder similar to Slay the Spire but more breadth, less depth. What holds me back from a 5 star review is some UI issues I don't really see with PC, but otherwise nice! Also, if you've purchased the game, you need to attempt/clear a tutorial run and begin a run to select clans in order to get the rest of the content and not be stuck in infinite tutorial loop, as it won't save your run spot in the tutorial run specifically, so keep that in mind!

Great game (on pc). Here the screen realstate is baddly optimised to the point of unplayability, specially if you have the pc version to compare. The main flaw is the hand realstate, it's tiny. Cards overlap in the middle bottom of the screen which makes it hard to see them, then choosing one and trying to play it sometimes drags the wrong card which causes missplays. Great game, bad port.

Look, Monster Train is easily one of the best deck building roguelites of all time, and now it's on your phone. You get one run for free, and then it a $10 purchase after for the full game, no ads, and the DLC included. It's a great deal and worth it if you love the game like I do. Also, the touch controls work flawlessly, game looks great & has a high frame mode to make it easier on the eyes as well. No controller support, but it's fine. And it looks & works great on my Fold 5.

PLEASE fix the cloud save feature. Or more accurately, make the game keep your cloud save setting. As is, cloud saving can lock the app by finding a save conflict, requiring you to choose a save, loading home screen, which finds another conflict. This loop can sometimes not be escaped, and you must reinstall. This can be prevented by turning off cloud save immediately. But if you fully close the app window cloud save will turn on when the app is opened again, thus the glitch loop can restart.

Amazing game! Stolen comment -Slay The Spire is all about balance, where this one is all about breaking it. Coming up with whatever insane combo works best and abuse it. Ive put a lot of hours in rouge-like deck builders and this one has a fresh new gameplay. Managing 3 floors, creatures and combos is challenging. Each deck feels very different and a new strategy is needed for each combo and whatever you are trying to build into. tons of replay. I love the try before you buy, no pressure purchas

a lot of roguelikes claim to be different every time, but offer only minor adjustments to how you play from one run to another. not this one. each of the six clans has its own gimmicks that require a different strategy, and you pick 2 for each run. moreover, each clan has 2 champions, and each champion has 3 offered specializations. Monster Train does more than just offer lots of permutations, it makes each one truly unique fyi, this is a demo, and the full game is 9.99$ (still worth it)

I loved this on PC and it's just as fun on mobile. My only gripe is that I wish it was possible to zoom in on the rooms and forego seeing the framing around the train. I realize it's necessary to see the bosses, but otherwise it's just dead space taking up a huge amount of the extremely limited square inchage available on a phone screen. It would be nice if there was at least an option for players who want it. Otherwise this is an excellent port!
