I love the diary/journal. This has been very helpful with my thought process, especially with my depression and anxiety. The videos are also great!

Seriously one of the best apps to help me with my mental health journey. I recommend it to anyone I talk to that is struggling. The journal is by far my favorite feature.

Wish it was easier to scroll through the text fields when typing or editing entries. The text fields keep jumping out of frame so I must type blindly sometimes.

I suffer from some pretty bad depression episodes and this app really helped me get through some of them. The app has a simple lay out so it's easy to use too, 10/10 would recommend

Good resource, but it needs to also include positive moods and their effects so people don't fixate on the negative or develop the sense that things are always bad. I was peaceful sitting outside in the sunshine but had no way to log this and remind myself how to achieve peace or conjure positive memories.

This was recommended to me by my doctor. When I use it, I find it really helpful. The prompts really help break your thought patterns, even if it's a slight difference. I recommend this to everyone who struggles with mental health.

so far, this app has really helped me. I struggle with intrusive thoughts, and this app has made them improve significantly. I even recommend it to some friends who also struggle with intrusive thoughts. I feel so much better, and I can finally separate my thoughts from reality. thank you

Why go to therapy when there's MoodTools? perfect for anyone struggling with depression, diagnosed or otherwise, everyone can benefit from this app. just used the thought diary for the first time and it helped. going through a hard time right now and it helped me look on the bright side. it's also great for people with social anxiety. no one has to know your thoughts. very easy to use.

This has been recommended to me by my psychiatrist, and although a bit rudimentary it was absolutely useful in my help away from my major anxiety disorder. The guided meditation videos on here are wonderful and I am absolutely determined to try actively going through all the practices and recommended books on it bit by bit.

I am rating it 4 stars because some important steps/ links are missing from the diary. When one ruminants usually they are physically inactive and cannot swich from depreesion specific thought just by cognitive reframing. For these reasons it is important to add other pages to the diary. At the start the diary, something like "current activity". After cognitive reframing, it can be something like "opposite action" or "next thing to do based on the reframed thoughts"

Honestly, I haven't even gone through reading all the texts in the information section, and I can say that I already like the app! 😊 The explanations and the amount of information that is given are excellent and I think that this app could be really beneficial for anyone struggling with these problems. In the least, it could help with putting one's thoughts into perspective, which is a great aid in itself.

This is a good app to practice cognitive reconstruction. It would be great to include sample statements for each item in the Thought Diary as a guide esp. for the beginners. It would also help if you can put descriptions and examples for the cognitive distortions. And please make passcode protection enabled even for non-pro mode. It would also be great if you can make the design more modern looking, or use beautiful color schemes to make it more appealing, especially to younger people.

Exceptional resource. They have thought of everything. Easy to use, clear layout, educational, functional and most importantly, really useful. I highly recommend this app for anybody, not just those experiencing depression or distress. A great everyday tool. Thanks to the creators. From a trainee therapist.

I have been really impressed with how this app streamlines these sometimes tedious process of creating mood logs. I have been pleasantly surprised that the app has managed to replicate many if not all of the benefits of doing mood logs while removing some of the peskier obstacles to getting the job done.

I love the fact I haven't seen any ads yet, but the app is super buggy. It closes every time I try to turn on the test reminder or set a mood for a task. Too bad, too. It's a cute app with a lot of what I need. Uninstalling until an update fixes this.

Shame that this app is neglected. The description shows that the last update was in 2022, but there are issues with this app, like putting your mood for an activity causes the app to crash and some of the videos are no longer on YouTube. Uninstalling and finding a similar app. Will update this review if anyone is also searching for an up-to-date app. EDIT: The closest one I found is Don't Panic. There is a safety plan tool, diary/journal, depression management tips, etc.

During Covid 19, was feeling isolated, depressed, stressed even keeping in touch with people by texting and didn't want to rely on them when my anxiety was getting the better of me, as they were trying to keep their own spirits up. Decided I needed something else to help me and this app was it. Very user friendly, flexible, with insightful options. So happy I gave it a try!

I absolutely love this app. It asks the same questions as ex: a hospital, mental health center, etc... I've been using this app over 2 yrs off and on (meaning I would download and remove it). I like how it keeps a record of the last time you took a test and tells you tips on what you can do to bring your mood down, etc... whether your mood is mild or severe. It's really helpful, and I would recommend anyone give it a try.
