Have been using this app for about two months now and I am loving it. However, the latest update no longer has access to additional lenses. All lenses worked flawlessly in the previous version, but now I can only see the main lens. Other lenses don't appear on the lens visibility section either. My device is Motorola Edge 30 running Android 12. Edit: yes, it worked after enabling "search for hidsen lenses". Thanks. I have also joined the discord server.

Am trying the free version on my Xperia 1V, and it doesn't work at all. Screen is blank, and I keep getting a message to wait for 1 minute. Wait, wait, wait and still nothing happens. Anyone else having this issue? Giving it 1 star for this phone until there is a fix. Ok. Restarted phone and it seems to be working now. Will change the stars to 3 pending experimentation.

New beta version works great, can record gyro data which I'm yet to test out but seen videos & it looks amazing, auto exposure is great if I need to set up a shot quick & I can fine tune from there, presets for batch render, this app just gets better! everyone buy this app, genuinely... Got filmic pro charging insane prices now & for Android this app blows it out the water, if you love filmmaking, experienced w/raw? this a great tool in your tool kit, wanna learn? This is a great introduction

This is a ground-breaking app for enthusiasts and professionals. If you're looking for a quick shoot and upload approach or not willing to learn a new workflow - this app isn't for you. But if you're looking for a way for your phone to match (or compete with) your mirrorless camera, know your way around RAW, or don't mind learning a new workflow in exchange of tremendous visual quality - you will not find any apps available that can do that outside of motioncam.

Amazing application allows you to record actual raw video, for me stably at 60fps 4k. Further more the burst mode is incredible and a feature I've wanted for a while in a camera app. The GitHub seems to be updated regularly and has clearly been worked on. My only suggestion would be the inclusion of camera swapping to the secondary or tertiary camera on the phone.

Major bug. The recorded files play only once. And after that they get corrupted automatically and don't play the whole 5 seconds. I'm on s24 ultra.

I've been using this app for a couple months now, and I like it so far. It offers features that I couldn't believe it can be done on a phone, cinemaDNG on a smartphone is not something you hear everyday. And of course, this app is in a experimental stage so don't expect too much because it all depends on your smartphone's capabilities with Camera2 API. In my case, I have some drawbacks on my edge 20 because of the video feature (it renders at the top left side on default sensor only).

**this review is only on the raw video feature. Somehow I didn't find this sooner because if I did I wouldn't have bought an s21 ultra. Unfortunately the exynos chip can't provide a full 24 fps at any crop factor or resolution (whether that be due to lack of support for the chip or there's a lack a capability I'm not sure). I'm genuinely considering switching to a snapdragon phone just for this app. I've been wanting to shoot raw dng for so long. Hats off to the dev(s) for their incredible work.

Update killed the app. I don't mind the update making it the demo, would've paid for pro once I got paid but in the meantime the update killed the app and it's no longer working with my pixel 5. Disappointed, will hopefully wait for it to be fixed before I think about buying pro again.

I'm giving the app 5 stars for effort. Now I don't know how well it works, because my smartphone is simply too weak for it to be usable. I can get like 5-10fps with constant frame drops. The app crashes all the time because RAM runs out. But it's what happens when you try to do something like this on a Samsung Galaxy A03s Smartphone. It's just not strong enough. That being said, it's pretty cool that you can get full sensor RAW video, albeit, at the moment on my weak phone, at 5fps. ✌️

The best app you can have right now for professional filmmaking or just for recording some ultra high quality videos from your device. The best thing is it supports and listen to its users with a very good community on discord. Must have app for every filmmaker ✨ I bought the pro version just to try all the features, KUDOS to devs 🫶🏻

Kind of a failure. Looks promising, but it seems very clunky and not everything is worked out properly, e.g. my white balance was at ≈4800 on auto, but when I dialed it on manually to the same number it was completely different! The whole point of third party apps is to not rely on anything auto. The 5 seconds test footage doesn't play back properly at all, so I'll be going with another app. Hopefully it will improve, but for now I won't be buying the pro version

THE best app for mobile filming on Android without a doubt, it's refreshing to finally be able to record video without excessive denoising and over sharpening, the exact issue with video on recent high-end samsung devices. Additionally the ability to record raw videos is unnecessary but always welcome. I will be purchasing the pro version soon

This app is one of a kind. But the UI is seriously hindering the experience. Its very hard to navigate. Everything is just everywhere with no care put into it. The image preview is lackluster with no way to quickly delete the image. Lens selector is confusing. There is barely any indication when you click the shutter button that a photo has been taken. That's just scratching the surface. I would've purchased the full version but based on how bad the UI is, I'm not going to and that truly sucks.

Yes, this app can be tricky, but if you're looking for absolutely the best video quality, this app is the absolute best. FilmicPro and others aren't doing this. This is true Raw video, this is cinemaDNG on a phone, and if you have the patience for it, you can get unbelievable video footage out of this. I'm flabbergasted by this app and I hope they continue refining it and that device makers open their cameras up a bit to make things easier.

Does exactly as advertised. Those unfamiliar with CinemaDNG will have a tough time (especially since now the only way to natively transcode it is through DaVinci Resolve. Which isn't bad, just a process. I usually convert to BMD color space and export as ProRes. Pretty easy to work with after that. It was really good quality. Man, like really good. I appreciate the app.

My phone is a Sony Xperia Pro-I with nearly a half terabyte of free internal storage and a one terabyte SD card, almost completely free. I would like very much to shoot RAW video, but my phone and Motion Cam don't get along. I was able to record a few brief test videos, but all showed only numerous horizontal lines, mostly red and blue. The app also crashed many times. I am going to delete it, wait a month or so and try again, hoping it will work. Thanks for your efforts.

Fantastic idea and exceptional quality, way ahead of apple prores if you know what you're doing... But literally there isn't any sort of ease of use in any aspect of this app. I like that it exists and i definitely gonna use it in some scenarios, But If there was a premium version that had filmic pro ui/features, with this app's format and image quality, and it cost 3x of filmic pro, i would've go for it...

The best "pro" cam app on Android. It has a set of features that only are available from some high end cameras. Abilities to capture raw and high depth color Log videos on a smartphone are the highlight! Anyone with interest in pursuing high quality video capture should take a look and give it a try (with demo version). There are indeed limitations that are inherently from your devices. Do find out in their social media groups, so you aren't disappointed unnecessarily.

Back in 2023, this app worked awesome on my Samsung S22 Ultra. However, all the updates in 2024 have made this app practically unusable for professional shoots. Corrupted videos, audio out of sync, constant crashes, etc. Re-installing does not help. Now I have to decide between buying an expensive phone, or buying a professional camera like the Blackmagic and never worrying about bugs. Great concept, but poor implementation and support for legacy devices. Now,I only use this app for hobby shoots
