Love having quick access to account information, however some of the bugs are very annoying. The check deposit was completely broken for me in a recent update. The preview image on the screen is rotated and distorted and it is impossible to take a picture for deposit.

I loved the app until I was just forced to upgrade. Now it clears the fields when 1password Auto-fills the credentials. Please fix this! I have insanely long passwords and I should not be forced to use the app's biometric login feature, or manually cut and paste creds. UPDATE: recent updates have addressed my main concern, and the biometric login is ok. I wish that it would hide the WHOLE username if biometrics is on though--there's no real need to a user id HINT for that.

App is now crashing on drill down into account detail from opening summary page. Poor, hard to get to info, unfortunately now better than new improved usless website. Too much wasted screen realestate and linear simplistic one level at a time menu hierarchy. Can't look at multiple accounts easily. Additionally is now dropping data and omitting account data. Very wasteful of screen space and loaded with marketing info.

I really dig the layout of the app. It is very intuitive. I've had no troubles finding any information or feature, unlike other financial apps. It had a recent issue of getting stuck on the splash screen. I uninstalled and reinstalled to get the latest version. Just never know if it's the app or the phone that causes the issue for the developers.

Online photo of a check with this app makes deposting a check easy. I use a matte black poster board and use those long pins with a little ball at the end to keep it place. The pinheads are slanted so they are in the photo. App takes photo automatically when conditions are right. Black background helps the app delineate the edge of the check.

It's OK but it logs you out after 5 or 10 minutes of inactivity without a warning. On the website there are settings for how it will remain open during inactivity and you can set that for up to 2 hours. It lacks the ability to download My Financial Picture as you can do on the full website. I have further downgraded it and uninstalled it as it takes over from the browser.

Price axis for stock charts seem to be generally wrong. I look at the daily chart, and the numbers on the chart don't agree with the current price, nor the highs and lows, so that's kind of useless. Also wish they would support selecting specific lots to sell, instead of FIFO only (I have to log in to the desktop website for that).

The newest version of the app is nice but adds bells and whistles that many users don't care about or even understand. If you want to dig deep into your investments, it is best done on your big screen monitor. A cellphone is hardly a handy device for serious research on your portfolio. Tell the geeks to back off any further "add ons" to this app. Thanks

This app is awful. It takes several attempts to sign in. It keeps trying to make me use biometrics, but when I set up biometrics it won't work. It doesn't work well with the built in password manager. Anything that gets auto filled by the password manager gets erased immediately. Messages in the secure inbox always show up as expired even when their expiration date is months out. For whatever reason the messages timeline is the only way to actually open messages.

Buggy and slow. Does not allow you to see your passcode as you type it in which makes it easy to type it improperly on a touch screen when you have a complex passcode and then after a few tries it locks you out permanently. Then when you do get in it takes 30 seconds to load the app and force quits every time I try to open messages. I had to delete my data cache to solve the messages crash. A regular user won't know how to do that. You might be better off working with Chase or another bank

App is ok. It serves it purpose; however, it's not very intuitive. Also when I took pictures of my documents, it somehow generated multiple images of the same image on every picture taken. I had to go back, review and delete many duplicates. Also, the image of the camera app was very jerky, and sometimes it cuts off part of the document, but during picture snap, the entire document was within frame.

Getting into the app is easy enough. But recently, when trying to make mobile check deposits, it takes me two or three attempts each check. Front photo taken and then screen goes blank. Have to then log on again. I also think the app should be updated to include the option of seeing that the mobile deposit(s) you just initiated have been received and are in a "pending" status.

Lots of promise but not much on follow through. It has an amazingy difficult time processing images for the back of checks. Considering how much time it takes to finally get a clear image the concept of mailing them in instead becomes attractive. The front of the check photographs without difficulty, so it might have something to do with the print on the back of the check. They need to work this out.

The app doesn't provide full functionality, so you still have to use the web interface. However the website redirects you to the app as you attempt to navigate your accounts. Worse, you have to log in twice since the website credentials aren't passed to the app. It becomes impossible to use all the features Merrill offers because you cannot continue navigating their site so long as you have the app installed, thanks to all the redirects. App is garbage.

I'm now having to reset my password for the 3rd time in 24 hours because an error while logging on with biometrics causes my account to be locked until I reset the password (my fingerprint hasn't changed to my knowledge). It's very frustrating and this app could be a deal breaker for the whole financial relationship. I've read Schwab's app is delightfull and their advisory fees are significantly lower.

Once you get in, this app's not too bad. Its really hard to move around though. However getting in is the real problem. The fingerprint function is for all intents and purposes worthless. You can log in with your fingerprint and ask for the SMS code, and you hang your phone. SMS is hardly the most secure way to do a 2fa. Merrill Lynch hasn't figured that out yet though. But then they haven't figured out a whole lot as far as their web application is concerned. Bank of America's app is really go

I am not tech savvy at all and after a brief walkthrough of some of the cool features this app has, it is so easy to navigate through. Its super easy to take a pic of your document and then send it all within one window . No going back and forth from one window to the next. Its great. Its nice to be able to see all your holdins and how much you have of eaxh holding as well...so clear and upfront. Love this app!

It's broken and no one in tech support can help. Worked fine the last time I used it a few weeks ago. Have called 4 times and no one seems to be able to fix it. I've uninstalled, restated, installed, cleared the cache, tried on wifi, on data, stood on one foot while holding an apple, and nothing. Phone is running android 13. Could that be it?

The app is ugly and it really needs fingerprint authentication (just like the BofA app). Edit: beautiful new design, but it is 2017 and you don't have fingerprint login. Edit: finally years later = plus 2 stars Edit: take the word "for Android" out of the title of this app. We know it's Android. Edit as of 3/2020: Scrolling is strange on the order status page. After placing trade, going back to main screen asks if you want to cancel the trade, hmm?

This app is garbage if you use a very complex password. It will not let you paste the password from your password app and will not even let you see what you have typed to figure out what is wrong then locks you out after 3 tries. I have no issue with the lockout if you allow some logical way to avoid typos but this is ridiculous and useless to me the way it is.
