More About MyRadar Weather Radar

MyRadar is a fast, easy-to-use, yet powerful weather app that displays animated weather radar around your current location, allowing you to quickly see what weather is coming your way. Just start the app, and your location pops up with animated live radar, with radar loop lengths of up to two hours. This basic functionality provides the quickest way to get a fast snapshot of the weather on-the-go, and it's what has made MyRadar so successful over the years. Check your phone and get an instant assessment of the weather that will impact your day.
In addition to the live radar, MyRadar has an ever-increasing list of weather and environmentally-related data layers that you can overlay on top of the map; our animated winds layer shows a breathtaking visual representation of both surface winds and winds at the jetstream level; the frontal boundaries layer shows high and low pressure systems as well as frontal boundaries themselves; the earthquakes layer is a great way to stay on top of the latest reports on seismic activity, completely customizable as to severity and time; our hurricane layer allows users to stay on top of the latest tropical storm and hurricane activity throughout the world; the aviation layer overlays AIRMETs, SIGMETs and other aviation-related data, including the ability to track flights and display their IFR flight plans and paths, and the "wildfires" layer allows users to stay abreast of the latest fire activity around the United States.

In addition to the data layers, MyRadar has the ability to send weather and environmental alerts, including alerts from the National Weather Center, such as Tornado and Severe Weather alerts. MyRadar includes the ability to receive alerts based off of Tropical Storm and Hurricane activity; you can configure the app to send you an alert any time a tropical storm or hurricane forms, or is upgraded or downgraded.

One of the most useful features in MyRadar is the ability to provide advanced rain alerts; our patent-pending process for predicting hyper-local rainfall is the most accurate in the industry. Instead of having to constantly check the app, MyRadar will send you an alert up to an hour in advance as to when the rain will arrive at your current location, down to the minute, including details on intensity and duration. These alerts can be a life saver when you're on-the-go and don't always have time to check the weather - our systems will proactively do the work for you and let you know in advance before the rain hits.

All of the weather and environmental data represented on MyRadar is displayed on our custom mapping system, developed in-house. This mapping system uses your devices GPU, which makes it incredibly fast and speedy. The map has the standard pinch/zoom capability which allows you to smoothly zoom and pan around the United States and the rest of the world to see what the weather is like anywhere on the planet.

In addition to the free features of the app, the premium upgrade is available, including real-time hurricane tracking - great for the start of hurricane season. This feature provides additional data above and beyond the free version, including the cone of probability for tropical storm/hurricane forecast tracks, and also includes a detailed synopsis from the National Hurricane Center. The premium upgrade also include the professional radar pack, which allows greater detail of radar from individual stations. Users can select individual radar stations around the US, select the radar tilt angle, and also change the radar product being displayed, including base reflectivity and wind velocity - great for experienced weather buffs looks to stay on top of possible tornado formation.

MyRadar is also available for Wear OS devices, including tiles for both radar and current conditions - try on your smartwatch!

Don't get caught off guard with bad weather; download MyRadar today and try it out!

I like this weather app more than others. I like the map actually knows my location, and the words are really clearly presented. I don't understand other weather apps can't seem to actually pinpoint my location accurately. And when I read the map, it's like I have double vision because the words are so blurry. The reason I give this app 4 stars is the hour by hour temperature is way off at times. I need to know that information is truthful, and at times it's not.

The best and the worst of all , excellent app, accurate , but it freezes my phone all day and there's nothing that I can do to fix it till battery drains all , happen twice and uninstalled twice, tried for 3rd time during bad weather, installed back and same happened , my phone screen turned black and there's no human power that can fix it till battery drains all, I will never give it a new chance again .

I like it. The best part is you see the small ad at the bottom but doesn't block your view. You dont have click on it to. I am not 100% on if it's accurate, but it's very close. I've seen rain but was out of tune. Then it updated and was accurate. Warnings in your area is 100 % accurate. I am a OTR truck driver and do watch the weather. Its just like when I scuba I depend on NOAA app for waves. You can see the worlds weather with it as well.

This app used to be great. Now it's woefully inaccurate with both current conditions and radar. Worst of all, when I tap on a weather alert or warning, the information will not load; instead, all I see is an ad. Not helpful at all, and perhaps downright dangerous for those of us using this app to get information on tornado warnings, etc.

Used to be great. Now they have so much going on and it won't let you change the screen size. Just keeps going back to the screen of its choice. Update: contacted Andy at website... No reply at all. Update: gotten better. Update: problem fixed. But added a new one. Click on the warnings and it takes you to a TEMU ad and no warning. Lovely. UPDATE: Working properly!

Static radar on Wear OS, no animation. It also won't update the radar view other than sporadically. It can be pouring rain, but the map on my Galaxy watch 6 is clear. Was a great animated app on my Apple watch, but it's like they just shrugged and said "screw it" on the Wear OS version. Will be looking elsewhere for an animated radar app for my watch & S24.

Got the app so I could see radar on my Samsung watch6. App works but I can't figure out how/when the radar on the watch updates. There no refresh option. Sometimes it shows correctly on one zoomed view but not on others. I can't figure out that out so can't trust it's accurate without checking my phone. Defeats the purpose of the watch app. Would be 5 stars if it could/would update on demand or at least in a way that was understandable.

Fantastic app I use it regularly for work home and vacations, keeps me ahead of the storms and rain love the informative videos they give you ahead of bad weather. Only reason it’s four stars is because I switched from android to apple and lost my yearly subscription fee I will fix the rating if they can fix the issue but giving you a selection for email login so you don’t lose your subscription fees other than that one minor inconvenience it’s a fantastic app.

I'm really close to uninstalling and leaving a bad review. I'm getting ads to porn sites. I've had this app for at least 8 years now and the quality is definitely suffering. Also I paid for no ads before you had a subscription service. I would expect you to honor that since I had this app BEFORE you started doing subscriptions. Otherwise good enough app. Does it's job and has good information.

It's an amazing app. The only reason it lost a star is because of some performance issues like rendering the radar when zoomed out, and because even in classic radar mode, it automatically fills in the inflow area of a hook echo of a supercell, which makes it slightly confusing when you are put under a tornado warning when there's no discernable hook on radar

I've used this app for years and have loved it. Not sure what happened but my banner at the top that you can slide down that shows the hourly Temps, wind speed, humidity, etc. went away and I dont know how to get it back. Other than that, super cool to be able to see what is happening where I am and anywhere else I might be curious about.

I've utilized this app for quite some time and other than latency issues here and there over the years it has been great. The issue I'm currently having is receiving an error message when trying to verify email for photo sharing. "Oops, something went wrong or has been blown away." It also doesn't send the link when I'm asked to provide my cell for the link to the updated version but I already have it so the runaround just to photoshare has become disappointing & annoying, but I'm here to stay

To start off I really like this app for everything pertaining to weather as well as it helps in pertaining to my job. There is one issue with customer service. I purchased the hurricane tracking before the app went big and they informed me that they would honor the agreement so that I would not have to keep buying the subscription. I bought a new phone and downloaded the app again but the hurricane tracking was not included & when I called/ emailed they basically gave me ridiculous story. Booo

Always been my go-to, but it takes 10 minutes for it to refresh and I can't find a way to manually refresh it. A while back, you used to be able to pull down to refresh, but you can't do that anymore. Living in tornado ally, especially today when we're in a 5/5 for severity, I'd like to have an up to date radar, even if it's a minute or two off. 10 minutes is a huge deal when your in tornado season. If y'all can get it at least under five min, I'll bring my rating up.

This app has great features the presentation of the radar is impressive & the many alerts that are available to use is great. The reason why I gave this 3 stars is a bit of uncertainty in the temperature in the notification bar, it seems to fluctuate a lot, if you pay attention to what it's doing the reported temperature changes many times from 2 to 5 degrees every 20 min & after checking my home weather station + other recording stations nearby those are not jumping up & down like this app does

The App for weather is good, I thought I paid for a one time fee, Instead I have been paying monthly fee's. When I went to cancel my subscription, I found the pause subscription. I paused my subscription, I can not find your cancel subscription. I find this poor business! I have a poor memory and if I don't remember to continue to pause the subscription, YOU siphon my account until I PAUSE it again. Where is your cancel subscription. This should be clearly displayed.

This had been a go-to app for me for years but the map quality has fallen off of a cliff. Performance has also gotten worse. Those two changes together make this app really tough to use. I would be willing to pay for better map quality but don't see an option for that. At this point I wouldn't recommend the app and think it's probably more like 1-2 stars but gave 3 because it was so good for so long. Hopefully the developers can improve back to where things used to be.

This app is excellent, but after paying a one time fee and using it for years, they changed my plan and forced me into an expensive monthly subscription. After refusing to pay a monthly charge, I switched to the pro version, because the store listed it as a one time charge. But that was another bait and switch. Shame on you for bad business practices! If there ends up being a class action, I will join it. For now I think I am deleting yet another amazing weather app ruined by share holders!

Looks good, but unreliable. Forecasts are usually off. Radar is the biggest issue. Several times it has not detected widespread rain in the area. The most glaring was when I was outside doing yard work, checked the radar, and it showed rain about 100 miles away. I began to hear heavy thunder, checked the weather channel, and I had about 5 mins to get a large amount of electrical equipment in the garage before a wall of heavy rain came in. I quickly deleted the app.

I really want to like this app. It looks nice and has a lot of useful information. They desperately need to improve the performance/refresh/map movement of the radar. Every time you zoom or move the map, it doesn't load the time lapse correctly, only looping the last 15-30 minutes instead of a couple hours. You have manually adjust the time slider every single time you move the map, it gets annoying really fast.
