It's the best privacy app with the best and most responsive customer support service I've ever used. Thank You MySudo...

Won't give me my phone number I paid for. It says my plan doesn't support a phone number, it sends me to the plans and I already paid for a month subscription that says I get a phone number.

there's a list of blocked words and they don't tell you about it or that your messages with blocked words aren't sent/received.

I really want to like this app but it's lacking the features and reliability to replace my primary phone number. No group text, no standard sms functionality, as it is VOIP I've had inconsistent call quality. I have noticed I am also not receiving all my text messages.

Can't even make an account (US). Tried getting help from support, and they were less than useless.

Do not use this app for something important. The developer deactivated my account for creating too many email addresses. Nowhere in their end user policy does it mention that this service can not be used as a burner email address. They view it as fraudulent activity. They use a permanent registration ID for your device, which prevents you from ever using this app even if you reset your phone. You can only communicate with the developer via email, which then gives away your email address.

Private browsing only inside the app. Feels weird. Emails same. App half-works but can't get a number because faulty subscription screen says "not connected" although it obviously is since messaging, emails, browsing all work! Their support seems lost. Masked numbers is the only main value-add on android as there's no sudocards, and I already know how to create emails on other services and can browse anonymously using Tor. I've moved to IronVest (formerly Blur).

Unreliable, buggy call function which defeats the purpose of the app. Keeps missing calls from overseas and sometimes even domestic U.S. calls. The phone/app never rings. The only notification is the "missed call" message in the app. I missed job interview calls from overseas because of Sudo's call failure--the person called twice but there were no notifications until the "missed call" message. I have cancelled my subscription. I've always had notifications turned on in the app and my phone.

Pretty awesome. You can move your mobile live off your sim card to create much better privacy. This version is a little slow but works. I wish there was a way to enable the app to constantly be ready to use since it's my primary communication tool, IE when I open it it's already loaded and waiting. Also there is no group messaging support for non mysudo messages which is a PITA. Looking forward to updates to keep making the app better.

I've been using this for over a year for work. It's been great except for two issues. First group texting is really needed. It's impossible to follow a conversation if the sender texts you and other people at once. Second recently notification sounds for texts stopped working. Update: sound issue was confirmed Pixel 7 related.

If your phone is android what they do NOT tell you is that it's not possible to use the web app (how they messed that up - no idea). Also, and you have to read close to notice- you can't use virtual credit cards either, that are part of the same fee, and you can't get around that by using the web app obviously. Maybe there's more wrong but that's where I canceled my subscription - they already wasted a few hours of my life. I read docs over and over looking for these answers before subscribing - I thought I had to subscribe to test it. I did, and I contacted support and they were either completely unable to "get" it or they were being intentionally passive aggressive, I don't know which. I asked them to escalate to someone who could discuss why it was marketed deceptively to Android users and they refused. For an app that's not pennies to subscribe to and one that requires putting a lot of trust into the intentions of the company I felt very uncomfortable doing business with these guys. Which is too bad because it seems to be well regarded in privacy circles.... I'm guessing those circles are iphone users. Disappointing - I would have paid a lot for this service if it seemed reliable.

I love the app when I had the iphone 📱 but since I switched to a Samsung the calls connect but you cannot hear the other person on the other phone. Also when someone else calls it disconnects. If you are on wifi it will work 80% of the time but when you are 4g or 5g the reception is terrible.. This is the second time I subscribed and will most likely stop and delete the app. Hopefully there is another app out there that works with the android system.

Lots of bugs with emails not loading, very clunky search funtion, and you cannot transfer your accounts to a new phone on Android without uploading everything to google as a backup. Disappointingly slow development to better the app if there has been any at all? I regret paying for it anyways. Edit 6mo later to note no account transfer feature has been released and searching for keywords is the same nightmare it always has been. Don't pay for this!! Almost impossible to find a receipt I need.

EDIT: Mostly satisfied. Hope the app can soon support pics larger than 3MB. I often have to close and open the app again when sending longish text messages. (Notifies me I've reach my text limit, even though I have the Unlimited Plan.) FaceTime for the deaf would be nice. I would like to be able to select which Sudos need the pin to access. App does a good job explaining itself, is easy to navigate & has affordable pricing. <3 way it separates contacts. I'm patient to see the app evolve.

This seems like a fantastic app. It seems very secure and being able to give people numbers and to get rid of a number if someone bad gets a hold of it is awesome. It seems a bit on the expensive side. You can use this app unlimited for free as long as the other people also have the app. Why does the iOS version have more features like credit card and being able to use it on a computer? When the features are equal between iOS and Android I will give it 5 stars.

I paid for the app. When I tried to move it to a different device, because of a trial limit I had expended, the app won't load. The issue is I paid for it on the second device. Clearly, since they don't use a cell number or email, they are fingerprinting by some other means. Perhaps IMEI or IMSI, which may be more privacy invasive than an email. Still locked out of what I paid for and I am dissatisfied. You would think it would be as easy as no longer blacklisting a device, but apparently not.

I really love the idea of this, I heard about it from The Privacy, Security, & OSINT Show. The problems I've noticed are that inbound texts and calls sometimes don't work. I'm also disappointed that Android is treated as an afterthought, with the iPhone version having features I was expecting and hoping to use, such as the ability to sync my account with my desktop. These features have been "coming soon" for so long, Half Life 3 might come out before they're released.

It's the best, but that doesn't mean it's perfect. Texting is annoying. Even with the max plan I get errors. Support pretty responsive. Needs more work though. It'll do for now, but I will not renew if they don't update and fix bugs. Edit: a few bugs fixed. I have been trying for days to get a number in my area code and the closest available is a state away. These numbers get reused often which is just something you just deal with, but means a lot of scam callers. Trac+mint is your friend

Great app, work in progress on Android though. No virtual cards on Android. Also it only allows you to backup via Google drive nothing else. Also if you make and pay for an account on Android switching to iPhone is near impossible. Same vice versa. It needs a lot of features still to be built in and it seems like they are working on it but it's not there yet. Good service overall though. Just know it's not meant for Android, least not yet. Also accounts only accessible via Google play services.

Updated 7/1/23. It's been working ok for the past three months. I haven't had any issues that I can recall. Adding a star for that. It could use the following features: Archive old SMS. Export/import SMS. Mute incoming calls (instead of declining). Unified inbox/call view. Dedicated voicemail section. Looking forward to seeing this app and platform evolve!
