Worked well for the time being, verification can be an uncomfortable task that will for the most part end your account. Support answered pretty quickly, but even after verifying their system wouldn't work around it's plan on terminating my account.. they were very vague with the details, more like "Sorry for the inconvenience, but there's nothing we can do about it" situation. The bank has been great to use for about a year or so, but unfortunately I'm choosing a different method after the issue

The app is good and works well but they are missing a few key features, such as bill pay, ability to deposit checks via camera, ability to have paper checks or them to send a check, fabens account with interest and it would be nice to have geo locations on each transaction. but other than that the app seems to work well. I assume these will come with future updates since this bank is pretty new in the US.

When I redownloaded the app, I suddenly had to go through the pairing process again which was impossible because I couldn't view my ten-digit code because it wasn't "paired". I've tried using the live support chat multiple times and couldn't get in contact with anyone. Then, the app would have me log-in again and again after putting in my password. It's ridiculous that people with standard accounts can't call customer support. Now I can't view my virtual card information or connect to Google pay

The spaces saving feature that allows you to make saving goals IN THE checking account and save up for separate things like a new car, travel, etc is PHENOMENAL ✅😯. It pretty much makes savings apps like Qapital useless and is a festure that is not available in any app. It so easy to add money to your card, but N26 allows direct transfers FROM A DEBIT CARD (instant). So these are 2 game changers for personal finance. On top of that, the UI/UX design of the web and phone app is so nice. 💯

I don't know why but my card just randomly denies transactions that I have more than enough money to cover.... I'm never really sure if it's going to work and can't rely on it. Worst of all the support chat doesn't work as it says it's connecting me and then goes to a blank screen and there is no other way to contact support as the "leave a message" option is always greyed out. I had high hopes for N26 but I've rapidly lost faith.

Edit: issue quickly dealt with. Happy with the service as always. Cannot log in due to cookie settings. Everytime i enter my password, it asks me to update the permissions. After accepting all cookies, it sends me back to the log in screen and repeats the process. Please help fix the issue so I can change this to a higher rating. I am usually very pleased with the service I receive through this company.

This app and this bank are a nightmare. Both my boyfriend and I are having huge issues, (with the app, with our accounts, with our cards, with getting any real help at all) so it isn't just me. I'm glad I only deposited €300, because I have no idea how I'm going to get it back. Don't get this app or use this bank unless you have absolutely no other choice. Especially don't pay for an upgraded account, it's a waste, they still don't help you. We're going to switch to another bank ASAP.

I was really excited for this app, but customer service had been unhelpful and in most cases unresponsive. Not being able to upload some simple documents for an app is sad and has hindered me moving forward with the process. It says in bold "Sorry we are unable to proceed with verification". I live here in the US and was sent a link to set up an American account, but no one seems to get that.

I've been trying out different online banks and while I had high hopes for this one, it is lagging behind. Currently there is no way that I can find to deposit a check from the mobile app, and while the card has tap-to-pay they do not support Samsung or Google pay for in-store payments. There is also no interest-bearing savings account available, only spaces where you can set money aside making it unavailable to spend using your debit card. It will be awhile before this can replace my bank.

Mobile phone setup through this app is required to open the account. I submitted documents, and even contacted customer support when the app stated they would need more information. Even after this I was given no indication what I should correct or how to proceed, only that my account could not be set up. Definitely not comfortable with how my information was collected (SSN / Photo ID / address etc.), only to have nothing come of it. Going to look for another bank to work with.

It's a decent banking option, the reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars is because they don't have to option to deposit checks from within the mobile app. Seems like every bank I have ever dealt with within the past 5 years or so that has mobile banking offers check deposits. Not them, but...what makes up for that missing option is the option to add money into your account using a debit card. That is an option no other bank that I know of allows. There is a small fee for the transaction, so what.

So far I have no complaints, except for it's not easy for me to change my phone number doesn't seem to be any options to do so at least from the app online is most likely different I would assume but I prefer to keep everything in one spot when it comes to operation for a banking account. Also would be nice to have over drafts as option as well as send receive checks and cashing them online through the app and paying bills.

After the recent update, I am unable to input amounts that have cents. For example I can put 123. But if i want to put 12.34, the app automatically puts 1,234. The in app keyboard only has numbers. There is no comma or period inputs. I contacted customer service and they made me re-install the app. Didnt help. Then they blamed my phone permissions lol. Luckily N26 website will still let me input the correct amount for transfers. Edit: I do not use Twitter.

The app has a bug which often fails to allow me to confirm transfers, and the only way to fix that problem is to uninstall and reinstall the app (and go through several steps to link your phone back to your account). A few times, I wasn't aware the transfer didn't go through, and I was late on my payments. As far as the bank service goes, I'm pleased with the ease, but it's frustating to only be able to access my finances within a buggy app. Fix the bug, and you have a first-rate service.

Modern and affordable! I'm so glad that they've appeared in Germany. All notifications and online payment authorisations go via the application and NOT to a phone number. For world traveling, it is an important functionality. I wish they would make more clear on the app, the monthly allowance to make deposits (for withdrawals, I already know). The addition of finger print login is warmly welcomed.

Multiple times over the last month, pending transfers cannot be confirmed (and therefore sent) in the app. It doesn't respond to clicking with no indication of error or anything. Customer support confirms this happens to many users. There is no alternative way to confirm and customer support can't even do it manually. With urgent transfers, N26 can't be trusted. I was told just to wait and hope for the app to work in 24 hours.

Last update broke funds transferring. Since then, I have not been able to use the app to move money from the Main account to a space or vice versa. Not very convenient. When I first noticed the issue, I contacted N26 directly to advise. Have not heard back from them regarding as of this post. If not addressed soon, I will be closing the account, as this is the third overall issue that I've had since opening it.

N26 pushes you to upgrade by removing more and more basic features. Now if you want to see the balance overview chart, you have to upgrade!? You need a monthly subscription just to get a visual sense of how much income and expenses are on a digital bank account? That has gone too far. N26 used to be good and handy. Now it is 2023 and you can do much more with other competitors.

EDIT: After multiple tries to process the payment and restart the app, the problem resolved itself. Overall, I've had a positive experience banking with N26, and I appreciate their quick response in this case. The app worked fine, but then suddenly would not allow me to confirm pending payments. If the app stops me from using one of the basic functions of my card, then what is the point?

Very difficult experience signing up. I tried photo identity verification with my passport 5 different times (!), and it didn't work. They finally sent me a link to do video identity verification and that worked. Other problems: the app logs you out very quickly, so you have to keep signing in every 5 minutes if idle. The lack of 2-step verification via web is another major flaw, since the app is totally phone dependent. If you lose your phone, or it's stolen, you're out of luck. Use sparingly.
