Went to use app today. After opening passing security the screen just flashes. Clearly a bug since last update as it worked with no issues previously. Please make a fix as soon as possible

Completely worthless and difficult for use of mediocre user application. The previous authentication method with OTP via email was by far superior, trustworthy and always working. Binding the authentication method with the fingertip sensor of a mobile device,

It is worse than useless.... it is harmful. Yesterday I couldn't purchase something very important because of this akatalavistiko application.... I spent too much time and energy to do something that is supposed to be simple... and I never managed to do.. with negative consequences to my work. Why? the previous method was ok

The OTP is the most balanced and functional security implementation you will ever have. Bring it back. Internet and mobile banking would do the trick if only you didn't charge commission for thin air.

Useless! It rarely reads fingerprints correctly and has issue to connect to the merchant to either receive a payment request, or if it ever reads the fingerprint, to send the payment confirmation. I will use a different bank from now on

Forcing the use of fingerprint id shouldn't be the case. Plain and simple. Code, email, SMS, viber... There are numerous other options. Privacy should be your top cencern. More options should be accessible period. Uninstalled.

I have used NBG for years and have mostly received quality and somewhat expedient service. I can no longer perform transactions properly as the app literally crashes on start on a new phone. Congratulations on making yourselves useless.

Worst App i have seen a looooong time. When i open the app for the 1st time, it indicates that i will need to use biometric authentication for it, but after that screen it just shuts down. They will need to fix it soon or else i will swap to another bank. I mean you knew about this beforehand and you should had test it properly before making available in public.

Ooops! Something went wrong! Just doesn't even load (OnePlus 5, Android 10). In general the NBG apps and website are really impressive. Please get this one up to the same standard! Also really pleased you are moving away from text based authentication. Wouldn't mind seeing something hardware based in future (Yubikey maybe?). Update 13-08-2021: Can use the normal mobile banking app for authentication, but this still refuses to let me in. I thought this was meant to be a simple alternative?

This is the worst congregation of reviews I have ever read about any app in all my 30 years of internet life. Amazing how irresponsible the biggest Greek National Bank can be. I was comfortably doing my transactions with old OTC method until they introduced this shambles. It took me months to figure out what I should do. I finally downloaded the authenticator. After some initial hicks, it now seems to be working fine. I use only credit cards for shopping. Other methods may still have issues.

Absolutely useless! It literally takes me 10 seconds to complete an online transaction with any other bank. You press Purchase you enter the code send by message on your phone, you are done. Here you are asking someone to have a shiny new smart phone with Fingerprint or Face ID, pray that the app will actually work on that phone (trust me it rarely works even if your phone supports those features) or you have to log in to your actual NBG online registered account accept the purchase, receive a code via SMS to approve the purchase, return to the retailer's website and if you were fast enough, hopefully your purchase will go through. Freaking genius. Soooo worth using your bank for online purchases.

Worthless. It requires a fingerprint. The fingerprint does not work. THERE SHOULD BE THE OPTION TO SIGN IN WITH A PIN!!!!!!!!!! But you never get there, IF it exists, because it requires a fingerprint that doesn't work. The OTP method was FAR SUPERIOR

Too much time consuming just to do an online payment. I don't understand why the device's pin should be used(how secure is it?). There should be an option to select the way of payment (via OTP or this app). Also, adding another app when already having nbg i-bank and i-bank pay is not what i want. Maybe it should be added as an extra functionality in one of the other two apps as well.

Completely worthless application. The previous authentication method with OTP via email was by far superior, trustworthy and always working. Binding the authentication method with the fingertip sensor of a mobile device, first of all limits your options as it requires a smartphone with a fingertip sensor. Secondly, the fingertip sensor on most mobile devices returns recognition errors too often resulting to automatic lock of this function due to many attempts. By far the one of the worst applications, implementations and ideas I have ever seen, especially for a critical task as online payments. The solution for me is to automatically choose another payment method if available, or buy from another shop that does not require the use of the NBG authenticator. Update and reply to NBG comment (07/04/2021): The problem is still present. There is actually nothing to be done with the functionality of this app, as it has fundamental conceptual design issues, thus, it fails by design. The only solution to keep your peace of mind is to choose transactions that offer different payment methods than the use of NBG Authenticator app. The only good thing so far is that the use of this app is not the default one (or not necessary) for online orders from shops/retailers outside Greece, and I really hope it remains that way.

I'm trying to set up the app and when I get to the fingerprint setup the app fails to save and recognize it...there is no option to skip that step or to provide the altenative of face recognition as it clearly says in the How it works section ( fingerprint or face recognition). I log in online, I click on approve transaction, I see the note transaction completed but there is neither a charge on my account nor the online purchace is completed...

The app is janky horribly designed and virus worthy. For one if you pay in another currency it incorrectly writes down the transaction as euro every time even if you pay in pounds. Also the screen flashes like crazy when a finger print is requested and IF you manage to register one it views it as incorrect every damn time. Whoever made this was not fit to make apps and should return to flipping burgers and whoever sanctioned it is equally useless.

Awful, the app crashes a lot. You need a newer phone to even run the app plus the fact that your phone needs to have face ID or a fingerprint sensor. They should just delete the app and go back to the old way of online purchasing where you just had to put the credit card details and it's done, now you have to open the app do the fingerprint thing and then hope it doesn't crash. The process is time consuming and annoying, please do something to make the app better or completely get rid of it.

What an abomination of an app. For the most part it crashes and runs slow. It delays approval requests, causing transactions to be marked as incomplete or expired on the purchasing platforms. For users overseas, the time and date on the device needs to manually be updated to the Greek time zone, so it can sync and complete each approval request. What's even the point with that function? This app is ridiculous. I just use other Banks for my online transactions just to avoid using this app.

How about making sure your new OTP options work reliably before making them mandatory and disabling the old ones? Tried to do a card transaction (pay a bill) and was redirected to a page requesting to download the app. Installed, but app fails to load. I get a push notification for approval on my phone that opens the ibank app but nothing happens there either, no options to approve. Failed to pay, the bill expired and I had to use the desktop website on PC next day to complete payment. Awfull!
