Jan 5, 2022 version 5.21.5 broke the app. Now when you click on a camera, or anywhere really, the app freezes up. I've closed and reopened many times and same thing. This was working as normal yesterday, then the app updated and now it doesn't work. It's completely useless. I've emailed them, but don't expect a reply based on prior experience. FIX THE APP.

App update now prevents WiFi usage after working fine for over a year. I believe this is the issue most people are having trouble with. Currently, the only way to get the app to boot is to turn off WiFi on my phone. When I do that, it loads and I can see my cameras. This is not a permanent solution and they need to push an update to fox this ASAP. As others have said, the older version of this app has no issue.

Awful app. Considering changing to a ring camera instead...at least they stay connected to the Wi-Fi. I mean what's the point of having 2 outdoor SECURITY cameras when they are constantly going offline for no reason. I even moved my router/modem to where it is providing the best signal to my cameras and still disconnecting. Super disappointed in this app. Please get it together because the reviews are getting worse for your company.

Don't waste your money. We have had a four outdoor camera set for a few months, just constantly have issues. I just had a break-in & the cameras just do not catch human detection EVER. I had the plan to record with motion, and it catches every bug, bird, or car going by. But never a human. Totally useless. After the break-in I decided to upgrade to 24/7 recording and ever since I haven't been able to get in app. At night there are these white rings in the video so you can't even see clearly.

On 6/9/20, I said "The camera function works great. Unfortunately, it uses call volume, not media for sound. Absolutely worthless unless the app is fixed." Now, I'd like to take that back. It now refuses to stay online AND the video is permanently flipped 180 degrees (upside down), regardless of the setting that changes that. If I could reduce this to less than 1 star, I would. These cameras (and app) have become completely useless to me. Will be replacing ASAP!

The recent update will crash the app when trying to load it. Mobile data crashes the app along with my home network. The one thing that still works is connecting to Xfinitywifi. If you use Comcast and can connect to Xfinitywifi, try using that until there is a fix for network connections and mobile data. When it works, Netvue is a cost effective alternative for home security.

I was really excited about my Birdfy. This app is really frustrating, lots of problems. It is pretty difficult to view the live feed. I have an outdoor WiFi extender for my patio and have verified my Internet signal is strong on other devices. In addition, the videos often do not play back. In videos without a bird formally "detected" there is still a bird there. Often times, it doesn't recognize hummingbirds. And it identifies the wrong species about half the time

Terrible. First you charge monthly for storage, alright whatever. But if I'm paying that, then it better be worth it. And it's not unfortunately. You think I'm gonna sit there and watch 6 hours if playback when the app filter for motion or human flag doesnt show up!? Fix this issue or I'm dropping immediately. I'm not sifting through hours of footage when your software should be flagging motion so its easier to find. Ridiculous

I can't do anything within the app. When I open it, it just takes me to the permissions page and I've turned on/allowed every possible permission. If I try to go backward in the app it just reloads the same screen again and again. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. It opened up to the login or sign up and when I logged in, it took me right back to that permission page. App is useless therefore rendering the camera a paperweight. I guess this is why you spend the money on higher end electronic

I love the cameras and the app is decent. The ability to select what zone and how sensitive the motion detection is makes it very useful. also the newer features of volume control, status lights, or day/night mode are great! It could only improve by allowing video to play on more than 1 camera at a time or by providing motion video playback without paying for the cloud account. Also the cloud payment is per device, not the entire account which sucks when you have more than 1 camera.

On the plus side, the cameras are pretty clear. That literally is where the pros end. The cameras stopped formatting their SD card not long after they were out of warranty -one year. I considered putting all on the cloud so I could have playback. I currently had one on the cloud and tried to upgrade to add the others and it is proving to be impossible. Customer service consists of sporadic emails that are less than helpful. Do not spend your money, the aggravation is not worth it.

Can not access the app anymore. All it shows me is a screen of all files access and I can only exit the app. Tried reinstalling, clearing cache, deleting storage, nothing works! Update: after repeatedly uninstalling and reinstalling, the app finally works. I'm readjusting my rating from 1 to 3 since it's working again. The motion cap is slow and tends to not pick up movement when it should, then when it does pick up movement, the photos it snaps are super delayed and useless.

Had the camera and app less than a month. This review is for both. Sometimes it works great. Other times the app freezes while watching live feed. Or it doesn't send notifications when there's motion detected. Now the app won't open on my Google Pixel. It starts to open, then instantly crashes. I've restarted my phone, redownloaded the app, and waited a couple days. Worthless.

So far, I haven't seen any major issues. I have average speeds for my network, I found when I was using the same network (or even the same wifi connection), the app would have a hard time working at its best let's just say. When I changed the network of the device connecting to the cam, it works flawlessly as far as I can tell. 5 stars for adding more functionality at base level. I know everything is moving towards a subscription model, but I would be happy with no subscription models.. ✌️

Was great but now since the tmobile android 6.1 update on my year old galaxy s23, the app is very Clichy. Sometime freezing, All the time now when I view some of my cameras in landscape the image will not go back into portrait whether I press the back button or turn my phone. The app used to do these things. It also will not save my last view as I turn off that specific camera. Android 6.1 has been out now long enough to get an updated version of the netview app. I am a 6 year user.

The Netvue app works great! We have a Birdfy Pro bird feeder. Connectivity is good, super easy setup, easy to share pictures and videos with others. You can also allow access to your camera securely to family or friends. You can easily adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection or turn off notifications. It has worked flawlessly. Highly recommend

App works great. There were some issues initially until an update appeared to smooth things out. Easy to use. We have two cameras linked to the app. It allows you to control a light on the camera, an alarm to chase away squirrels or other undesirables, and a microphone. There are a lot of useful settings like video length, time of day for the camera to operate, motion detection sensitivity, and types of motion to detect. Also doubles as a decent security camera.
