The UI on this app is completely confusing. There are icons that make no sense and no information about what the icons do. Sometimes the app seems to track cell phone signal across the map. Other times it doesn't. It also pops up things that I thought are part of the app but are actually ads. It also often shows a red banner with some information that I thought was something important related to the app, but was really just some sales pitch or clickbait type of thing.

It's kind of a cool app, but you can't shut it down. You can force stop or reboot your phone, but it starts sending notifications again. I understand there is value to constantly collecting data, but I want to be able to decide when that happens. Uninstalled for now. "to exit the app, simply swipe close" - I said I want to shut it down. If it is still sending notifications, it has not been shut down. I want to be able to stop it from running (and collecting information) without rebooting.

I've tried a couple other locator apps but this one is the most accurate. I like the map choices too. I need this to be able to point my Weboost directional antenna for my booster in the right direction. Nice overall interface design. Update- 17 march 22 New version installed 6.3.21? and the only thing that works now is the signal dial. March 30-solved it by uninstalling and found version 5 and installed it. Works normally now and with Maps.

Perfect except it should show all nearby and available towers and bands. I also want an audio way to know if the signal goes into the red for when I am driving. In a perfect world, it would tell me how to get a different band, or repriorotize the bands. It is obvious my phone goes for the high frequencies first, which gives me more errors in the signal of my carrier, which keeps its signal perpetually in the orange, usually lower orange.

Great app if you're into the super techy aspects of signal propagation. Unfortunately, I cant seem to make it stop loading itself in the background. I dont always need to be debugging and mapping cell and wifi signals, especially on devices that no longer have service and are just used as pocket computers around the house. The constantly loading itself feels very not kosher and I will uninstall and distance myself from such apps as I am with this one. But will still reinstall and use when I need

My gauge reading dropped to -141 and just stayed there. When I decided to check the reading in Settings it was -117. Upon reopening the Info Lite app it then showed -117. This incident makes me less trusting of the app's display. Maybe this was just a "one-off" event, but since no unusual event had preceded the gauge reading dropping out of range, it stands as a problematic instance.

I rarely ever review software, let alone an app. I am an engineer by trade and I must say the amount of data available in this app is phenomenal. I was previously on another cell signal tracking software, but then found this one and never looked back. The app tells you signal strength on the fly and current LTE band. Very useful! Thank you for developing such an effective tool.

Very helpful in tracking signal strength in a specific area with regard to particular towers and frequency bands of 3g/4g/LTE. Also very useful in tracking/logging which tower you're utilizing on which specific frequency band and class (2g/3g/4g/LTE) at any given time. Actually does what all the other similar themed apps claim to do in a very straight forward manner. The interface isn't super user friendly but something you get used to navigating over time.

The app works really good finding the data signals around my house. I'd still be at the front of the house trying to get a signal because there's a tower in that direction, which my carrier doesn't use. All the towers are in the opposite direction! This app has helped me find the best signal faster. The speed test doesn't work, which would be useful. So far it's a good app.

Good information about signal strength and what bands are available in my area. I determined that my cheap Motorola phone had a much better signal that my galaxy s10e ( even though it was 4x the price!) and where I live. That miniscule signal strength actually speeds up browsing and YouTube playback by at least double. Also if I decide to get a 4g phone booster, I know what bands to look out for, for compatability.

Update: new req'd permissions destroy app's purpose, functional use, and phone's battery/performance. No longer desirable. ========== Gives fantastic diagnostic information and very thorough real-time status -including map indicating which tower your device is currently registered to - for better 'proof to tech sppt' of your wireless carrier that there's an issue and aides them in resolving the problem/s. Also useful for learning about wireless communications technology.

This used the be a great little app, showing not only your own connection, but neighbouring cells & connections. Now it doesn't. The speed tester doesn't work either. Don't know what changed, but have no option but to uninstall as it doesn't really fulfill any function when that data is freely available within my phone. Shame. 8(( Used to be good! 2 stars of for the memories

The app is too technical for the layperson. The location of the only two cell towers near here is way off. This depiction is consistent. Unless, towers are on the valley floor in the middle of a pasture, and are invisible. My exact location was enabled, too. I kept this app for years, but I have no use for something this inaccurate. Uninstalling.

I was always frustrated trying to read the "Bars" at the top of my screen. This was great because it shows a simple Signal meter (LTE and a WiFi too), and a screen with maps of towers that I am utilizing, that's all I wanted! I didn't need all of the other extemporaneous data that he other apps had (I tried some other apps)..... So if you are looking for an extremely easy to read/interpret visuals this is a great app. P.S. It has additional signal info for those who are looking for more detailed data, that just wasn't my requirement.

Could be so much better, but no, it is a jumble of info. In its defense, it is one of the better apps of its kind. I know the speed test is beta, but it has stopped working at all. Always says it failed to set up, but never gives any indication of why or what you can do to persuade it to work. The app could include some suggestions on how to optimize your signal, but no. The online manual is pretty thorough, but i find using the app to be rather hit or miss. 9-11-2022 - the speed test is indeed

I live in a rural area and my cell carrier's signal seemed to really be varying. I use a Verizon modem for our internet and some days were okay but most were pretty bad resulting in long, long, long wait times to load pages. I loaded this app to in hopes of getting a better picture of what was going on. Wow! The app gave me more of a picture than I would have ever hoped for! It showed me bouncing off of 3 different towers and the signal strength that I was receiving from each tower. I'm calling this a picture because I'm not very savvy about these things...but what's cool is that I don't have to be. It really does an incredible job providing information in a very understandable way. But if you are more technical in your understanding then that is provided as well. I ended up using the app to install a signal booster. The signal boost was significant and I could not imagine trying to position the antennas without the aid of this app! Y'all should contact these companies that make boosters and let them know you are available to download. Thanks for being there to help me get-er-done!

I've used a few - but this app really gives me a lot of data, and tools to examine data. Downloaded when I was desperate for a signal in a remote area, but now use it all the time to check tower locations, etc for me and friends I'm with. GREAT TOOL even the free version. Ads are minimal, and less of a distraction than most free app advertising. LOVE IT !

Could be a good app. Much useful information, but it gives notifications when none are warranted or needed. Does not allow the screen to power off. Too cluttered, to focused on the app with zero customization. But the notifications were over the top, so I'll find something else. Also when I turn it off, it means I want it off, to stop running completely. It does not do this well

Absolutely love it. Been having many problems with my phone service. Was not sure if it was my phone or reception. Your app showed me I was barely getting any network signal even though I used to get good service at the same location with the same phone. At times it even drops into the red (dead) zone for no apparent reason. My download speeds are not good for LTE either. So great info to find out if you are having service problems. My only complaint is it keeps asking me to set access location.

This is an amazing application. We live in an area, about a block from our local tower. Our signal strength has dramatically decreased significantly In the past 8 months. We can't even watch a 3 minute video without it buffering, making it take 10 minutes, so you can imagine how frustrating it is to attempt a full length movie. While we've not yet been able find the owner/administrator of said tower, your app gives us real time data which can be recorded, it shows our proxi.... continued
