The worst paid app I've ever used. This was the first year I've used the NFL app. I paid for the premium monthly subscription and have had non-stop problems since week one. If there was literally any other way than this or cable for next year I will do that. Sling was more expensive but had nowhere near as many issues as this app has. You think going straight to the source would make things better and easier but it is nothing but a headache.

When it works, it's great, but bad login problems really suck. For a couple of weeks, it works great, but then decides to say, network error, try again. Nothing fixes it, but a force stop and clear cache. Even clearing the cache (not clear data) makes it lose the login. Never is it successful in logging in, and I have to do a password reset which only works 50% of the time. Spent more than the length of a condensed game trying to get frigging logged in again and still no football. Sucks!

One of the worst apps to deal with, consistently bugs out and signs me out of my account. I watch more of the "something went wrong" screen than I do get to watch actual football. And if it by some grace decides to work for more than 5 seconds it'll studder every 10 seconds. I have fine internet connection and still have to deal with this. Another annoying thing is if I close out of the app and come back I normally have to sign back in.

2023 update: still unbelievably buggy, utterly frustrating. It can't seem to update it's state, like game ends and it keeps going back to that ended game causing an error. Keeps randomly logging me out. Freezing constantly, especially on big games, their infrastructure isn't enough. I can't believe this is a paid service. All recent reviews are 1 and people utterly frustrated. Google should investigate and get refunds for us.

Latest info feed on the NFL and you can select your team for specific information. This is my edit of my rating from 2017. The NFL+ app has progressively become worse through the years. Believe the one and two star reviews. For play back of games it's awful. buffers, slow to fast forward and crashes. Had it originally on my Xbox, which it stopped working on now use it on a fire stick. I've communicated all this with NFL+ customer support and they say contact Microsoft or anyone but themselves.

I don't understand how you can justify charging for the ability to watch every game if it has this many issues. I have never even made it through an entire quarter without the app crashing. I've tried it on multiple devices and WiFi networks and it still crashes. Some of the issues have been the app flat out not showing scores or loading the games, signing me out every time it crashes, and telling me I don't have a subscription even though it's active on my Google account. Fix this.

Although I have 1GB internet and an Ethernet connection, streaming via this app is horrendous. The video pauses continuously, to the point that the stream is so choppy it's unwatchable. Audio has intermittent issues, also. The only recommended fixes are to uninstall and reinstall the app, or restart your device. It's an all-around poor experience.

I've been trying for 4 seasons to get a response from customer support. Functions like show scores, privacy settings and more do not work. Customer support is non-existent. The help bot is a bad joke. The NFL can afford better tech but they are too big to care. The constant crashes are better but it won't allow me to show the game scores. Ridiculous for a pro sports app.

Truly the worst app I can ever recall using, both on phone and on desktop. Buggy, horrible interface, and on my laptop, even with nothing else running it constantly stops, starts, buffers, repeats frames, sometimes freezes for whole minutes then comes back to life for a few seconds. I have to reboot repeatedly on a football Sunday. Cheaper than others but such a disaster. The Dev team should be ashamed. Obviously it must be full of memory leaks and that's one reason it gets progressively worse.

Always surprised at how poor the NFL app experience is compared to the other major US leagues. This year is no different. It default opens to NFL+ (with seemingly no way to adjust) and autoplays video. The detailed scores page also autoplays video. Radio streams rarely play correctly on the first load. It's such a chaotic experience, esp. if you're just looking for a box score. I'm a fan of the much simpler UI of competing apps.

Conceptually a great app. I love being able to watch condensed games to catch up from the weekend. Or I would be if this app had worked more than 3 times without freezing, crashing, or completely locking up my phone and or xbox. I have reached out to support 8 times, and eventually requested a refund 3 or 4 more times. I was told that I would have to go through Google for a refund, which they of course refused. Noone responsible and im out 99 bucks.. Thanks NFL. I know you need the money

This application is extremely buggy. The game can be heard sometimes playing with the screen off and then when you go back in the app to continue watching a gamepass game replay it keeps taking you back to the beginning of the game. Very annoying. In addition, several of the games I've watched had the sound out of sync with the video. The application locks up and you have to force kill it to reopen it again. Whoever is responsible for this application's QA should be given his walking papers.

I am editing my previous review. Your app is spotty at best. Tried pulling up the draft 4 times and got the buffering ring and finally an error message saying my signal may be the issue. I don't know what is worse, you app or my gullible self thinking it had improved. Best $14.99 spent to show my insanity. Horrible. The games you do get are spotty at best as far as picture quality and buffering with plenty of available memory and speed. Each update it gets worse. Good job!

Im confused how such a wealthy organization can have the nerve to charge money for such a poorly programed ap. I have to turn off auto torate becasue if i set the phone down it will switch from full screen to minimized over and over until it freezes. It randomly freezes and crashes all the time. Trying to watch the draft and I have to restart the ap every 2 minutes. Even their webpage is terribly executed. Get it together NFL. Also start helping pay for new stadiums instead of tax payers.

UPDATED 5.29.24 - I am paying for the top subscription ($14.99 per month). Sadly, I am here to report the NFL has decided to include ads during the replays of full games. This is certainly a new development as I would have never signed up in the first place had they advertised that ads would be included. They're greed apparently knows no bounds. Paying for the top tier subscription and having to watch ads anyway is, quite frankly, beyond the pale.

Absolutely the worst app I've ever used. Main screen text is far too small for anyone without reading glasses. Every article scrolls back to the top as your reading it. Videos either lag constantly or just freeze altogether. One would think that today's App tech's would notice all their code errors before launching a redesign. They made an already bad performing experience even worse. Thanks NFL!

This app is so buggy. I am on the latest version try to watch the draft on my TCL (GOOGLETV) TV. The app crashes after 3 to 5 minutes of launching. After it crashes, I have to log back in using the qr code. I took all the recommended troubleshooting steps, and then some, but it continues to crash. This is a new TV, with no issues like this with other apps.

I am stunned that after dropping over 100$ there is 0 support available other than uninstall and reinstall to fix a problem. Can't watch replay videos in their entirety. Tried on various platforms and browsers. The quality is so bad when you get near the end of the superbowl. It is easier to watch on YouTube and deal with ads than it is to watch through the app on nfl+ that I paid for.

For all the resources available to one of the most valuable professional sports leagues on the planet... It's remarkable how they managed to make an application that is so consistently unusable. Connection drops, the app closing on its own, basically everything you'd expect from an app made by a few guys in a basement not the NFL. Very frustrating.

When I was using the app to watch games, I loved it. I've tried to cancel the subscription multiple times. Removed my payment methods as well. But I still somehow get charged the 6.99 a month. When I go to my settings to cancel it. The subscription doesn't appear anywhere in my listing. For an I used to like it is disheartening that it has become more of a scam than a benefit.
