ok this I my third review. in begin for a couple of years now that app worked great. best I've ever had. but as of late it has not been tracking my distance and time correctly. ex today I ran a certified 5k with mile maker's in route but the app was off by 1/4 mile. finished the run at a 25:46 😠 but my mileage was 2.63 miles. needless to say. I will be deleting the app and finding something more accurate even if I have to pay for it. I hate to do it but it's too inconsistent.

Please bring back the plans! I've been using the app for about seven years now. I love the workouts and the variety they provide, but my favorite feature was the plans! It helped me schedule my workout into my week and if I missed a day, it helped motivate me to try to catch back up again. Having the plans helped take away the headache of trying to figure out what workout to do and helped push me to tackle more challenging workouts than I otherwise would.

Great demo videos, plenty of plans that require no equipment for home workouts. Love it so far! Updated: App now frequently crashes and stops video playback and the timer DURING the workout. I noticed this when Nike decided to add the flashy video previews for workouts. I can no longer cast the app to my smart tv with consistent success--this renders the app completely useless.

The workouts and interface is nice but it's completely useless because it crashes every time I want to do the next workout in a program. I don't want to get dressed in my workout clothes, get out my mat and weights, only to have to find a different workout because the app won't work. This happened to me with Nike Run Club a year ago. Since both apps become unusable at random, I can't keep using them.

Yup, latest update still sucks. I was hoping they would notice all these one-star reviews and revert to the previous version. No such luck. NTC got rid of every feature that is critical to me: the ability to preview all the exercises, skip a move that doesn't suit me, and run from preloaded data instead of a glitchy streaming video. Disgruntled former NTC users that are missing the features I just listed, try Sworkit instead.

It's close to being the best, personalized workout app but it falls short because of the premium whiteboard/class workouts they recently added. Yoga routines are solid, free workouts are solid but the premium workouts they added require watching a minute video to understand the motions before starting one movement, just a lot of back and forth. Enough that it was frustrating to use (and I'm not alone). There's a lot to like, but the new routines leave a lot to be desired

I've just started trying to use it and really appreciate the free content during quarantine. However, the only way I found exercise programs usable at home is by using my TV and unfortunately, the screen mirroring/casting with NTC simply is way too glitchy to be usable. It's really hard for me to look at my phone during these more dynamic programs.

Update: This app now gets 2 stars since removing the guided plans. this was really the best feature. I loved that the plan would give me workouts instead of me searching for it. The workouts on there are still great. I also think there should be a lock button so that if you touch the screen by accident it doesn't change to the the next exercise. It's like having your own personal trainer. NTC definitely gives you the guidance you need to succeed your fitness goal.

I've had this app for a long time and I really like it. I even signed up for the Premium subscription last week. I love the new workout selection, but Nike -- you have GOT to fix the issue with streaming videos crapping out. I've done one of Kirsty Godso's classes twice and got "An error occurred during playback" both times. I can restart the video but it's frustrating -- and super counterproductive for HIT.

I've used this app 11+ years and it's been my go-to b/c it was that good. The latest update changed it so much, I'm going to go to something else. If I wanted a class format workout, I'd go to the gym. I want to see the exercises for each workout before starting because I have injuries and can't do certain things. I want the workouts back that list each drill and have the progress bar and voice-over notes. It was perfect, they've ruined it for me.

I love how easily you can find a workout in the search menu. The categories are useful too! There are workouts for modifications, stages in pregnancy, and full programs! Now I wish I can display this on my tv, like an app on your laptop. You can cast on Google devices! Some tips: Reintroduce download features so you can workout anywhere. The ability to restart a workout without marking it as completed. I went into a wrong one and exited and marked as I completed it when i didn't.

I've been using the app for more than three years now. It has been great, until this new update. The workouts are the same, but the workout guides have transitioned from intuitive, interactive coaches to a rather lazily-made video that plays as the guide. As a result, the video quiets my music that I play while I work out. I also can't disable the audio to "drill-timing only" anymore, and it becomes more distracting to me rather than helpful. I'll re-rate once they revert to the older app.

This app is greatly improved with the addition of Ryan Flaherty's strength program. I am repeating his six week program because I can't find anything else as good. It's challenging, I feel stronger, I'm not bored, and it feels curated and intentional. I would pay for more programs like that. My only note is that some of the circuits aren't practical in a public gym because you can't monopolize more than one machine/bench at a time. Nonetheless, 10/0, give me more. Also fix your Spotify plugin.

Love the app. Although I do wish for a couple changes to make it more user friendly. The app logs me out every so often and while it's not bad enough to lower my rating I do hope that can be fixed. Also, I wish there were a search button so I could look via keywords and/or figure out a way to add filters. The way it's set up now requires a lot of scrolling through several kinds of workouts that are not relevant to what I'm looking for.

It's a decent app, but I lost interest when they removed the "Plans" and replaced them with the "Programs," which are fine, but they're not for me. I use it mostly for yoga and stretching now. I really think they should bring back the "Plans" how it was years ago and not something overhauled. Sometimes, you don't need to fix something that's already good.

Edit: they updated the login process, now I can't login. It just sits at the "processing your request" screen. This is actually a great work out app. The variety of classes, different trainers and ability levels is wonderful. I removed 1 star solely because the app used to have built-in chromecast. That has been removed and now to cast, one must externally mirror the phone. Mirroring has a smaller screen, some lag, and just isn't as good. Edit: I see chromecast from the app is back! 5 stars.

I have been trying to fall in love with fitness again but trying too many intense workouts that don't have any middle ground just didn't feel right to me and my body (longer days to recover and losing the rythm). This app gives you everything you need with professionals and the best thing is it grows with you. Complete programs at every level with or without equipment. The best part is you get genuine instructors with directions to understand the moves in connection with your body. No gimmicks.

Update: In the last 6mo, all the updates have been geared to make the app unusable. App is stuck on opening screen. So sad as I was on a program. I've been using the NTC app since 2011 and it's been awesome! The workouts are real; whether it's 10 mins or 45mins, you feel it. And I absolutely loove that the plans are bespoke-ish and have improved over the years. I've gone through maybe 30 workout apps on playstore- paid and free and, trust me, this right here, is it.

I can't believe that something so comprehensive and varied is actually FREE. I also love that all it asks for is your e-mail address and it's not tracking progress (unless you link it to partner apps that do), nor does it have a bunch of annoying and stressful hoops to jump through. You literally just click on the workout you want and it plays. I love the freedom to choose what I want depending on what I feel like on any given day. The instructors are WONDERFUL, warm, positive, and encouraging.

Updating to 4.5/5 as I have continued to use the app for many years now, and appreciate we get new workouts. One feature request is to provide an overview of the exercises (it can be in list format), since the video preview does not really showcase all the exercises. This is one feature I really miss from a previous version before all older workouts were turned into "class/video" format, as it allowed me to get a sense of the workout and if it is appropriate for where I am at (location/injuries)
