Spam notifications. The response below is misleading - the app only contains an option to disable emails, not push notifications. Update: they also send spam emails by default!

Works well in New Zealand both north and south island and in mainland China. It supports data sharing via hotspot to other devices. Coverage is decent and works in many places airalo doesn't. easy to top up from overseas unlike many other brands.

Bought the esim for China Korea Japan. Worked in Korea perfectly, with fast speed. But doesn't work in Japan. It would connect for a few minutes on kddi network before disconnecting. It only ever works if it ever connects to softbank, which happens a couple of minutes a day. Raised a ticket with them about this on 13 May, and apart from one response by them on 13 May, they have not replied nor attempted to resolved this as of 18 May. Would not even refund me the cost of this esim. Avoid.

BUYER BEWARE! So far pretty awful experience, the eSim does not work. I've been through the FAQ, called my cell provider to ensure my phone is unlocked, used third party tutorials, emailed them(They don't respond for days(no hyperbole)). So far no help. They have good reviews so I don't know what went wrong in this scenario. If you need to be absolutely sure you'll get something that works I'd go elsewhere. UPDATE, developer response: I sent them an email and still no response. Trash company.

I bought an esim for Korea/China/Japan. If at first the esim worked, it stopped after a few days (leaving me with nothing but an "emergency calls only" instead of the service I paid for). So much so that I had to buy another esim from another company. I contacted the help center and at first they answered and tried to help me but ever since may 2, I haven't gotten any answer to my questions and of course, the issue was never fixed. Now I asked for a refund but again, no answer. Shameful.

The Nomad eSim is a breeze to purchase and activate. However the plan gives a fixed amount of data per day - no rollover of unused data. So you certainly need to purchase more data than you need and will need to plan the daily use well, which is difficult when the app doesn't give you usage stats. Also in the Chinese city that i traveled to I can only ger 4G LTE witb Nomad, though the same phone when roaming on my US plan was able to get 5G on the same local network (China unicom).

I used Nomad recently in my travel from Germany, Austria, Italy. Connectivity was excellent. Never dropped a connection. Easy to use and set up. Very happy with the experience.

Fast set up. Easy to use. Went to Italy for a conference recently and decided to give this esim service a try. It worked flawlessly. Just remember to activate your plan on the app before you leave for your trip. You can have the esim off in your phone settings and turn it on once you've arrived at your destination.

Not recommend!!! The esim didn't work properly on Seoul, South Korean. It didn't have any reception most of the time. I tried contacting them through the website (there is no chat or anything else), they answered once after a day and then completely disappeared. I guess it's some kind of scam.

I've used this app on my trip to China. Fast data speed and for an affordable price, too. Currently service is down just when I need it though, first time seeing that so I assume it's a temporary problem(?)

Seamless transition. Excellent connections. I was able to make phone calls using data and Google voice in the US. This is my now go-to solution when traveling internationally.

Used it for a trip to Korea. Very easy to install, good network quality, and very cheap. I was overall very satisfied! Got a little scared at first cause the data didn't connect after I disconnect from a wifi, but a quick airplane mode on and off solved the issue.

worked fine until I got to Atlanta and the network changed. worst services ever. and forget about contacting customer service. I still haven't heard back from them. I might as well have just set that money on fire. none of the esim company's or resellers are great but Nomad has been my worst experience yet. I will say the connection was solid in NC but once I left it was awful!

Initially, I had issues with downloading and activating the sim (android user). However, after a chat with an agent, they were able to troubleshoot and fix the error. I had to wait at the airport with wifi to correct the issue. Took about 25 minutes while also waiting for an agent to attend. My friends with iphone had a smoother process with activating the esim.

Two stars for good customer service. Polished app, easy to use. Only one problem: I've never successfully gotten the eSIM to work. Ubigi and other competitors work fine. It's JUST Nomad. I keep trying as they have the best prices for the place I travel the most, but every time it fails. One day it'll work. They do give refunds if you can't get it to work.

Got the 20 Gb plan for while I was travelling through Portugal, Spain, France, and Ireland. It gave me plenty of cushion, so I didn't have the stress of a looming bill when I got home. The speeds were similar to what my friends using Verizon were getting in the same locations. Installation was pretty straightforward, but it doesn't activate until you get into the region. It was nice to have data available shortly after the flight landed. Would absolutely use again

While very convenient, the sim I purchased for use in the US has been total garbage. The connection is incredibly unreliable... And for some reason my IP address is located outside the US, and frequently changes: it is currently a UK IP address and was previously in India! No wonder the connection is so poor. For the $, I expected some minor connectivity issues, but at this point the savings are moot cuz the connection is so frequently unusable it's not worthwhile. Recommend T-Mobile esim app.
