I would give this app 5 stars IF it had the option to save an equalizer setting for a song so every time that song play, the equalizer would automatically switch to that songs saved equalizer setting. PLEASE add this. I have so many songs I would love to do this too.

It would be gorgeous if it would have volume control. I like it anyway. I have bought it, to get rid of ads, why does it ask me to buy adblocker?? No updates since 2018, but you're asking for more payment. What joke is that?? In May 2024, my Android 13 got an update and now this player doesn't work anymore. Will you fix that or will I quit subscribing?

This is the easiest & best soud rendering app, but unfortunately after update it just failed to launch. I cannot find any other software like this... -> Problem solved, but lost the beautiful carbo skin...that's a disappointment

Your app looks good & sounds great, direct via my HTC 10 phone speakers & through headphones, hence the 3 stars. However, unfortunately it does work in Android Auto, for when I'm driving. Absolutely no play back, until I used another app, then I had 2 apps plying at the same time. When I stored the 2nd app, NRG Player stopped too.

user interface most i like about this app! looks awesome when right colors are selected! no real enhancements to jazz up output of music, bummer! Bass & treble are great, i love the output both give! pre-amp doesn't really improve loudness, at least not my ulefone power 3s but it's not bad! i must say clarity is good but not great or wow as i like to say! i just don't get that oomph i want, please look into it!

It's great for listening to music, the sound is good and it's easy to handle. What I especially appreciate is that it found the music files from downloaded songs (downloaded from my pc onto my phone) that the other apps I tried didn't find. The fact that it's totally free appeals a great deal and the ads aren't bothersome at all. 👍🎶🎵

Sound quality of this app is the best I've ever used, my songs are usually on 195kbps but it sound lossless like a 320kbps. The only thing holding the remaining one star is the interface, I want to be able to see my high quality album art clearly. Another issue is that it duplicate some of my song, which I'm sure is one, if I delete one, the other will disappear too.

I read that new thing is "apk size reduced" I'm hoping that this isn't a plan to downgrade the quality of equaliser... Again I'm hoping that this isn't a selling plan, like "to have best equaliser quality buy new in-app Pro version".. I am hoping that because Pro version only include balance and that isn't worth to buy (for me at least).. Otherwise after all these years I will reduce my stars about this great music player. EDIT : tried many solutions but didn't work. Can't find new songs.

Regarding quality of sound you are 1 level ahead of poweramp, which was quite surprising, but 2 levels behind them regarding intuitiveness, here still you have some work to do. I compare NRG to poweramp, bc I tried, believe me, many players and I always returned to poweramp, which is not a perfect player, but the one closest to perfection. Work it to make NRG more intuitive and you can even, who knows, get a pole position. Sound is skiping(S5) and needs more volume without preamp. BRAVO!

Best music player ever, cool design, great sound & awesome features. Registered with a monthly subscription from the first 2 minutes of usage. You can delete files from within the app, music loads fast, browsing and sorting is intuitive. The only negative thing I found: it looses star ratings after you move the rated files around, so it must have its own database for storing the ratings instead of appending them to the file. All in all great app.

The best thing about NRG is the beautifully simple screen, with the important buttons elegantly lined up at the bottom. Making a playlist is so easy by first clicking the songs onto 'now playing', and finally naming the list. The EQ button is right there on the home-screen, rather than being buried under two layers of menu. It is one of the loudest of the players around. The equalizer is superb. The song-rating facility is a treat. One does miss the on-screen volume control.

By far the best equalizer I could find 7 years ago when I first got nrg. It's pretty customizable in both looks, eq and does everything right. Not sure if this is still a 5$ app with a trial but if it still is I strongly recommend trying it if you like tweaking your eq to get the best sound out your devices. I still use it 7 years later regularly although my version is still from 2015 and probably won't ever update it on this phone since I'm more than happy with the app version I have now.

I've been using MediaMonkey for years but with my recent phone upgrade I found the interface to be more trouble than it's worth. So I decided to give NRG a try. I love everything about this app except for one fatal flaw. Android Auto doesn't recognize it. Since I do 90 percent of my listening in the car this is a major drawback. I'm also not crazy about having to subscribe to the service. I would much rather pay a flat fee for the program.

I was looking for a music player app that would work on a android tablet that could simulate a car stereo interface. NRG is the closest that I have found so far. My only wish is that I could have the option, in landscape mode,of just seeing the current song playing. I am still planning on purchasing this app because the buttons are large and the ease of the ability to change playlist while driving.

Can't believe that I searched for so long to find a decent music player app that isn't 100% streaming-only! I just needed a good, reliable app to play local mp3 files that are already stored on my device. Google Play Music has now been replaced by YouTurd Music, which does nothing that I want and basically forces users to pay for the premium version if they want any kind of useful functionality. Thankfully, NRG Player does exactly what it says on the label, and does it well! 5 Stars

Very nice. Great sound and volume control. Simple to use interface. Effective equalizer. The compressor does a darned good job of balancing volume and equalizer effects, and the reverb option adds a pleasant enhancement effect that integrates with music to provide an even more enjoyable listening experience. Didnt notice a way to save equalizer and effects tweaks though. That's needed. This is a great choice for discriminating audiophiles like me, who simply must have good equalizer control.

It would be an awesome app and get 5 stars from me if the equalizer worked like it should. From when I first installed the app equalizer worked fine until 2nd song started and then it started sounding like equalizer off but says its on. After trying to make adjustments to no avail, I had to exit out of app and then open again...equalizer will work through maybe a couple songs and then just turn off or stop working. Fix this please cuz it's a great music player...and too many ads also. Thanks.

Works great. Very intuitive. Very functional. I tried about 35 different mp3 apps until sticking with this one. Nobody else had a queue or one that worked right. This one does. Not complicated. Impressive. I would like to see track numbers. Thank you for developing this app. 05/20/21 the app, from time to time, opens itself and starts playing.

This player looks great with the Carbo skin (particularly yellow or blue). Sounds great & is simple to use. Also like that it supports system Playlists. You can change the audio focus via the headphone settings. This comes into play if you are simultaneously using it with a GPS while driving. In one headphone mode it will mute the music when a GPS directing is given...& in the other headphone mode it will simultaneously play both the music & the spoken GPS directions without muting the music.

I had this app for over 10 years now, and liked the customization of the interface and playlist capabilities. I also purchased the ad blocker. I originally gave this app a 5 star, but now reduced it to one. The app stopped allowing my bluetooth controls to work on not only my car receiver, but all my bluetooth devices. It connects, but play/stop/skip do not work. I tested my other playlist device and had no problem. I emailed developer/s and got no response. Disappointing.
