Installed the App. I was checking it out to see if it had an option for my discount. I got to checkout with a zero balance and the App "stuck". Now every time an App on my phone requires the Google browser, such as the Weather App, it displays the NYC Ferry checkout page. Annoying. The NYC Ferry App has hijacked my browser. I contacted NYC Ferry and Highblower with screen shots but no feedback, just a ticket number. This App kills other Apps including my Message App. I need a solution.

The app works well, but sometimes it's frustrating if you "activate" a ticket you've purchased but the boat ends up being full by the time you get to the front of the line; the timer starts to run down & messes up your free transfer period while you wait for the next boat. It'd be nice if the QR code wouldn't begin to expire / have a transfer timer until it's been scanned by staff.

The app is in nightmare it will randomly just stopped working when you attempt to purchase more tickets the screen is blank. I have uninstalled and reinstalled three times. The last time I had to use a different email. Then it does it again it is very frustrating there has to be a better way if you want riders to continue paying for the service

They added concessions purchases to the Android app! Could still be faster though. Network calls aren't exactly snappy.

The app charged me multiple times, but marked the payments as failed and didn't give me a ticket. Nothing in my order history either.

The ferry is awesome--everytime I take it, it makes me absurdly happy! Yeah, the App is just ok but does give me the info I need for the ferry. If you haven't rode the ferry, you're missing out.

If I could give this app fewer stars, I would. It has randomly signed me out twice right before getting on a ferry, only to NOT let me sign back in. Almost missed my ferry because I had to buy a new ticket despite having 6 because the app refused to let me sign back in.

App has been frozen for over a month now, ironically, on the page where I am asked to give a star rating to the app. Have lost access to paid tickets. Have uninstalled and reinstalled several times now.

2023 Update: they fixed the app and it works great. THANK YOU!!! 2018: Cant purchase tickets with the app. Just integrate it into the existing mta app architecture and give it it's own distinctive ticket section like the lirr and metro north. Seems superfluous to have an entirely separate app to perform this function.

The app works occasionally and will completely freeze up in the middle of ticket activation. Cannot get the rockaway rserve or rocket to work at all. Such a waste of money bit the kiosk doesnt always work either. Makes you wonder what you're really paying for... anyway its very disappointing. Should be better.

Status information on delayed ferries is unreliable and there is no indication that ferries are at capacity and so even if you wait you won't be able to board.

Terrible, authentication link doesn't work, can't get in even though I have a password. NY should cancel subsidy of this terrible app and company.

The ferry times on the app don't reflect today's modified schedule, which is unacceptable and is definitely going to mess with thousands of travel plans today (Juneteenth). I had to dig around on the website to find the modified schedule. Someone probably didn't update it before taking off work for the holiday without realizing their lack of accountability would have such a wide impact.

Used to use the old app all the time. Was happy to hear there was an update, but cannot sign into the new app at all. The Google authentication doesn't work, the magic link email came so late I didn't see it until then next day. And clicking the link just brought me back to the sign in. Tried to resend, but now still waiting for this magic link email... Was going to use the ferry today. Guess I will have to figure out another way.

In normal times this App works well. But during modified schedules (including today, during Thanksgiving) it gave the updated schedule on some cell phones but NOT others in our family. Uninstalling and reinstalling the App worked (showed the modified schedule of today correctly) on my wife's cell phone (happens to be an Iphone) but NOT on my Android (Google Pixel 6A) cell phone. Others suffered similarly - they showed up at the at the wrong time, misled by the schedule displayed on their App

As described below. Can no longer open app. Keeps looping between asking for email then sending you email with link to open the app and access your account. But it just brings you back to the page asking for your email. Loops back and forth between the 2. Very frustrating. The old version was good. Could buy & store tkts from phone. Need to fix glitch.

I don't know what was going on, I don't use this app & it's been a few years since I've ridden a NYC Ferry, so I just uninstalled, but recently I started noticing that when following links from other apps (definitely noticed with Twitter), a message would pop up in my default browser (Duck Duck Go) saying "You can open this link in NYC Ferry", with a link to do so. I don't know why NYC Ferry would be registered as an alternative app to open random webpages in, but it stopped after uninstalling

This update has locked me out of my account. When I receive the email authentication link, the app does not proceed past the welcome screen with a loading circle. I've lost access to all of the tickets I've already paid for. EDIT 4/28/2020: I have tried to use both Google and Facebook authentication to log in, but I still receive error messages. I've lost access to tickets that I paid for and cannot use.
