Bought this old favourite for my Tab S3. It seems to play fine and looks good. However I'm having serious issues getting it to work with my joypad (which works with all my android games). The screen controls are so awkward, I often block what I need to see. It would be a 5 star review otherwise. Really hope it gets fixed in the near future.

Good game, very true to the original. I've only give 3 stars as there is some issues. Sometimes the controls dissappear when loading from a Quiksave. Also if you Quiksave in certain levels, when you pull leavers to release Sligs, nothing will happen and its vital it works to pass the level so there was a few times I would have to restart the checkpoint or full level after Quiksave and do it all again. I got to the end though.

The developers have done a fantastic job converting this classic to the mobile platform. Very fluid controls, awesome graphics (only missing some of the visceral gore from the original game, should be an option to turn it off/on at least) and of course a captivating and at times hilarious plot. Highly recommend this game.

It's a great port of what was one of my favourite games as a child. I am using it on Pixel 2XL and have none of the control issues that others have mentioned. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be able to run on my Pixelbool, even though it lets me install it there (the app crashes when you try and open).

This has definitely brought back some memories! The game is pretty much as I remember it. the controls are not terrible considering I am operating is by my phone, it does make some tasks/challenges a bit more difficult. This however does not take away from the fact that you are playing a classic game from your child good 20 years later on a mobile phone!

Loved it two decades ago and love it now! Every bit as challenging and fun as it was on PS2. I did have a graphics glitch in scrabania (?the bit where you fetch bees) where Abe turned into a sort of comical brown umbrella, rolling around, but I was still able to complete the level. I'm so pleased to have another chance to play this game, which I remember so warmly. Thank you, devs!

I loved this game on pc; it actually plays better on my note 8. The on screen controls are about as good as you can reasonably expect; apart from the aiming/throwing button everything else is fine and quicksaves minimise the frustration of tricky spots. All up a great port of a classic game, probably the best pc to Android game I have played to date.

Amazing job guys! Brilliantly done. This is how it's done everyone! Couple niggles though: 1. It is unclear when you have completed one chapter and/or about to enter a next one. 2. There needs to be the ability to load a previous save from a previous chapter incase you do accidentally enter a new chapter and want to go back to save more of your buddies. A part from that I have just got to say what amazing work of art you have revamped, you've really done it justice! My inner child thanks you!!!

Absolute 10/10. Can't believe how well they ported the game across to mobile. It runs excellently on my OnePlus 6 and lets you customise both resolution and detail settings to optimise performance. The controls are also very easy to pick up. I mainly wish that the throw button was a bit bigger so I could hit it more consistently. As for the game, it's an excellent puzzle platformer with a great sense of humour. They don't make games like this anymore. Give it a go. Save them mudokons :).

I love this game, brings back memories. I'm at a stage though in gulag 3 where there's 5 or 6 dog houses and you've to run past them all. However the buttons have gone missing since the start of that check point and it's making it challenging to pass. I've enlarged the buttons where they're suppose to be to try complete that level. hopefully they'll come back 🥺

Just like the original The game runs so smoothly and no longer have to wait for each frame to load when you run off the screen. The controls are very easy to use and smooth. Some speech options are missing from the original though, the 'sorry' & 'slap/anger'. These were used in some levels so that bit will be different but so far everything else is the same with some very satisfying 3D effects

I love the Oddworld games and this is a great port. However, it looses points because the touch screen controls and UI are really awkward. In a game that's all about timing and reaction speed it's a real hinderance. Play with a BT controller and you'll be fine but then you might as well play the true console version instead. Graphics are beautiful but if you're playing on a small screen like a smartphone it's hard to see details in dark areas.

Wait a second I can get this game on my phone? a remaster of Abe's Oddysee? with different difficulty settings? a new game speak commands from Exodus? for $5? take my money already! original abe Odysseys is a classic that if I thought could never be improved on, but this game prove me wrong. while not as eerie and foreboding as original game it mix it up with better level design and crisper graphics. and yes the controls do take some getting used to but I think they're perfect for mobile phones.

Grew up with original 2 on ps1. While the cutscenes here are less grim and more slapstick (it really bummed me out), the gameplay is much improved over the original. The graphics are beautiful even on my android, and it supports bluetooth controllers. DEFINITELY DEFINITELY worth the 5 bucks. I LOVE it. Such nostalgia, even with the few hiccups. If you love abe's journeys through the 3 games, get this. You wont regret it. Munch and stranger are both cheap. All 3, 10 bucks. In glukkon voice "DO IT

I'm amazed at how well this translates to mobile controls, but the sections with Elum are SO BAD that it's basically unplayable. Elum barely jumps more than half the time when you hit the button, and there is a major issue with characters glitching across small gaps when they run full speed. I've seen it happen with sligs several times too, but it's game- breaking during the Elum sections.

I love the game itself, it is a classic. Sadly for me I cannot seem to play it on any phone I have had, iPhone or Android. Everytime I download it is so unplayably glitchy and laggy no matter what settings I change. I first thought it was just minor bug issues, then over time nothing got better so I ended up having to delete the app. Tried again later and dealt with the same issue, figured maybe it is my phone. Now have tried on two seperate Android phones. I just want to play this great game!

Game looks great and plays smooth most of the time. However there is a huge input delay issue when using an Xbox one controller. So much so that certain sections of the game are unbeatable. The input delay is about half a sec or so but really affects gameplay when making jumps and when trying to multi jump from platform to playform or over larger gaps. Hoping they fix the delay but until then it's just a nice idea.

Excellent game better than the psx version. The graphics are great and things have been polished up nicely for the Android port. I'm an Oddworld fan and am glad to see the nice graphical upgrades they've done for this port of an excellent game. My only issue is one I won't necessarily ding them for because, though powerful, I have an older phone. It's just that in certain levels the fps drops immensely to the point of frustration. Tweaking with the settings can help, but not all the way. By contrast, although there is a strange issue with tearing occasionally with Stranger's Wrath, it runs smoothly yet had graphics designed for the Xbox. I'd recommend playing this with a Bluetooth controller, as it was meant to be played, it works excellent and helps you react quicker, although, the touch controls are better than most. All and all, it's good to see the oddworld games getting some love and I hope beyond hope that we finally get the last 2 inhabitants and hopefully a final game that ties them all together. Also, here's hoping we see Abes exodus soon!

I am on a Samsung A20s and it runs great with a PS4 controller. So. Everyone keeps calling this a remake, but the levels and gameplay and controls are all different from the original Abe's Oddworld. The only thing that is the same from PS1, is the script and cut scenes. If you are a big fan of the old games, it definitely feels more like a new Oddworld game with new levels, and gameplay. BUT it's great! I love it so far! Best android game I've played in years!

After a glowing recommendation from a friend I was very excited to play this game. It seems that the game has a bug where it'll think that a controller is connected to my phone when there isn't. This leads to never actually being able to play the game because the on-screen controls never show up. I really hope this is fixed soon as I'd love to play. Downloaded on Pixel 3XL
