When incidents happen, using the on-screen button might take way too long to start recording. That’s why you can also Auto start on app launch. This works best on phones with programmable keys that can launch apps.
* Incident Information: Time, and Date Stamps *
Videos are automatically tagged with information that records when an incident took place.
*Video Storage*
Videos are recorded on the device. You can choose a location on internal storage or SDcard to store videos in. Because the users could still be accessed by users, uou should install other apps that prevent deletion of these files.

Was trying to get this working with screen off but the app crashes as soon as I unlock the phone after it's already running.

Please make it possible to adjust the video resolution. Vids take up too much space. Perfect app otherwise.

Great app, love it allows me to record while my screen is off so nothing happens to the recording but NGL I wish I could beep every now and again like a real body cam so you know you're still recording, should be very easy!

the app is good for recording. i like it, but there one problem tho. you can't delete the video you just record on the file i mean unwanted video, so please add delete button

I'd give 5 stars if I could also adjust the video quality and if sharing options were built in, but I can work around that. Good app, simple to use.

Seems to work fine when you record and finish recording, but I can't play the video. It gives me an error stating the video cannot be played when I select it in the gallery. Galaxy S20

Records video and audio just fine. Date and time not on video. Date and time used for video file name. No option to set record start or stop button. Unable to delete video files. Have to uninstall entire app to delete files. Just garbage and waist of time..

Not bad but could be improved. Allow the app to rotate with the phone. Add a way to add a not to a video. Have a quick way to send the video. Would pay for an improved version of this app.

Simple, easy to use and practical. Would be 5 stars if recording quality could be adjusted to save space on the device. Other than that it gets the job done.

Good app, but would benefit from a feature that allows me to start/stop recording without having to turn on the screen, maybe using the volume buttons.

I really like it.i don't know y I bought devices when this is available.audio plus video plus it doesn't fail at all yet.but I d like to b able to delete recordings & I can't work out how to time stamp it. Edited 1 Sept 2023.also some videos I cannot play.can I view them another way.by transferring them.thanks

it records voice , but it doesn't record video. it stops recording video right away. I was hoping to use it for legal reasons. voice was awesome as well as longevity. video not so much.

This is a brilliant camera app. Would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a body camera, but not wanting extra devices. Could do with the ability to time stamp recordings and the option to add a users name for reporting purposes.

Ok I tested the app to see what the reviews are talking about. It does take video and audio well. Puts time stamp on video. But try and put storage to different location causes app to crash. Also hard to get rid of test videos. Honest review.

Say if a incident happens you lose your phone or it goes off during a altercation, your app should still record at least a half hour after your phone gets shut off or lost if recording and the olivecast file should automatically backup to email ,....like,,lets say..,,if you did lose your phone, you can go get another phone or open your Gmail and retrieve the footage ,even 30 minutes of footage after your shut off or dies if not by pressing the stop button right , that be kool

Recorded an important event that I needed to take to court. The video plays a few seconds and then skips and doesn't recover. The only consistency is audio, but I could've gotten that from any other app. Trash, don't bother.

Best bit of kit I've downloaded on my phone in a very long time. Unlike the actual video app on your mobile the screen doesn't stay on, meaning the phone doesn't get hot with use and has little impact on had battery. The extra bonus is you can listen to your own music and make and receive phone calls as Olive Cast runs in the background. Both sound and audio are very good. Best app of its type ever. Thank you.

Great idea but it only saves videos on the device or SD. No cloud connection. No programable buttons can't even turn the beeping sound off. You live up to your claims and I'll pay for this app. Thanks

Great simple app with a couple bugs. First bug is, wont write to sd card, second is will lock exposure to lowest setting meaning shots at night in the city come out very poor and dim. Alot of potential however and the simplicity earns it major points. Will change to 5 stars if bugs are fixed.

Thus far on a test run, the video stopped at seven seconds but continued on with audio. Due to my job being a high priority target for criminal activity, I need something like this to work every time. Also, videos cannot be deleted. I find this to be an important issue as some space can be saved if I could delete non vital videos. I will test it further for a length of time to see if the issue is not constant. If it isn't, I may use this more.
