More About Oracle Mobile Authenticator

Oracle Mobile Authenticator enables you to securely verify your identity by using your mobile device as an authentication factor. The app generates one-time passcode for login. Or it can receive notifications for login, which can be approved with a simple tap. When this authentication is used on top of username-password, it adds an additional layer of security that is essential for today's online applications.
Features:
- Generate one time passcode even when the device is offline
- Push Notification based approval
- Fingerprint or App PIN for app protection
- Set up via QR code, Config URL, or by entering key manually
- Multiple account support
- Generate OTP for other applications that make use of passcodes as per RFC 6238

It says that the account is configured to another laptop when I try to sign in and hence I am not able to use the app for sso logins. I hope the company support helps me with this.

Well.. i suppose it works.. but in the world can i switch phones? I bought a new phone and i want to transfer it? Been looking all around but can not find any instructions. Is this even possible? Or are they expecting that we use one cellphone for the rest of our lives?

Pathetic application as after 2 years use all of a sudden the application has stopped sending the notifications. Now even if I am trying to install and reconfigure the MFA it's taking my credentials to setup OMA. Worst application

As of today, no pop-up notification comes on (to click Allow in order to log in with my SSO and password). This was a pain to install and it keeps being a pain to use.

I use this for work and ended up having to replace my phone. I have no way to log back in, and customer support is useless.

Pixel 8 Pro users - in order to edit or delete the account, put and hold two fingers on the same line (with the account name), then the top bar will change and bring up Edit/Delete buttons. Found this accidentally, after struggling with the long tap

Horrible. Don't want this app but unable to access Oracle cloud from desktop and can't even FIND this app in Playstore. I don't even WANT 2FA for this account. But Oracle, seems to think they can dictate. FO Oracle

I recommend storing your OTP keys on multiple apps for redundancy. I use Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Twilio Authy, Oracle Mobile Authenticator and Redhat FreeOTP. I like that Oracle Mobile Authenticator supports PIN and Fingerprint protection and screenshot protection. Otherwise the interface is very simple and is what I expect an Authenticator app to look like. Although I wish that it supported exporting in Redhat FreeOTP format and that Oracle would contribute to FreeOTP.

UI needs a major update to reflect a modern UX, needs an option for backup to a cloud service, needs dark mode for accessibility and visually impaired and my Trend Micro security app keeps telling me this app is dangerous.

Just stopped working says invalid passcode after few times needed to change password after pass changed got notification approved and logged in to frozen page. Tried to logib again again invalid passcode. I constantly had trouble loging in from when I started using OC till now but this is too much. Soo good security that even owner of acc cant login.

I hope Oracle goes out of business. I had to log into my instance in between a meeting, tried to sign in and it asked me to change my password, I couldn't use any of my 5 previously used passwords, I couldn't copy paste a randomly generated string, I had to manually type it into the text boxes. once I was finally done setting up a new password, it asked me to set up a 2FA authenticator. You wasted my 50 minutes that day Oracle. I've recommended my workplace to pay Google instead.

worst part of these authenticators is if u lose the mobile or lets say u need to format it you are gone...you dont even put things on cloud such that if i configure same app on other device it should work....its terrible concept...i would rather prefer otp on phone because at least i get back my sim even if its lost

Terrible experience. If you had this uninstalled or switched to new device, you are basically locked out. Need to contact support for bypass codes. Instead the codes should be saved to cloud for easy access. Even Oracle forces you to use this. You cannot enroll using other authenticators

Horrible. App is pretty useless. The thought behind it makes sense but the implementation of it is not very good. It just makes it impossible to access anything. When I have issues it takes literally hours to get a response and most the response isn't that helpful. Would rather just stick to the text two factor authentication at least it works. Unlike this app.
