When the app works is very nice. The other 90% of the time: it switches from right ear to left and finally both and then starts cycling again. The volume in hearing aids on a phone call varies from whisper to shout and back. Surely you folks can fix this for the money we paid? Update on April 2: the newer version 1.3 doesn't drop the Bluetooth as often but trying to use the phone connection is still miserable 😣. Two more letters to support and finally form reply and no phone number for help.

I use moto one android phone. I don't see any improvements in this new companion app. It doesn't remember the last volume level. Ihave to turn up volume each time to my desired volume. Takes longer to pair than the older one app did.. The tinnitus feature seems more like white noise whereas the other one app has more natural sounds like ocean waves, which ismore soothing. I prefer the one app.

Oticon should have just improved the old app which was working pretty consistently. The UI of the new one is not clean and the app is buggy & disconnects from Bluetooth randomly but doesn't seem to add any new features. I'm sorry to say that the updated version of the app is no better than the previous version. I have loaded 1.3.0 and it is still not consistently connecting to Bluetooth and staying connected. During phone calls, one ear or both will disconnect and not be able to reconnect.

I'm disappointed on how low the volume is for any media that you Bluetooth to your hearing aids. The old app played at a higher volume it seems. This version you have to keep the app open and running all the time in order for the volume controls to be available quickly. The old app I could close the app but yet the volume controls would be on my lock screen. I think I'm going to go back to the old app.

When I was setting the app up,I was warned it was 'buggy' on Android... no lie! But I am not getting an iPhone just to MAYBE have better luck with an app. But it certainly is annoying to need to constantly restart my phone. It's always the right device that disconnects. Sadly, that's the weaker ear!! It should work equally on both platforms. I have received email replies from oticon, but I have no successful remedies to the quirks, other than 'we are working on it.'Please edit your review'

I lose bluetooth connection randomly. I never know if the phone is connected to the hearing aids for a call First thing I do for a call is do you here me so I know if I have to put the phone to my ear or not. The only way I found to reconnect the bluetooth to the hearing aids is to reboot the phone. It has gotten to be one to two times per day. My phone is Samsung Flip 4. Also, the hearing aid fitness doesn't work on my phone. It did for the first two weeks. Got the hearing aids on March 29.

The base app does a good job pertaining to the functions of the hearing aids. The problem I have is streaming with Bluetooth. It is inconsistent & it slows down video streaming & connections when Bluetooth is on, which is a must. I'm restarting the hearing aids, & yet that rarely solves the issue. I stream, listen to music, & use the phone, so the streaming function is a must. I can't use the phone while Bluetooth is on. For what I paid for these hearing aids, streaming should be flawless.

Have version 1.3.0. Cannot connect to anything other than my Android phone through the app. Seriously need to be able to connect to my computer during meetings. Headphones and ear buds interfere with the hearing devices, so this is not an option. There is a remote sensor available but it does not cut out the source speakers. Picture a cube farm with multiple meetings going on. Other people are using headphones & microphones. I do not have that option. Now what?

I got my very first hearing aids last week. At the Doctors office, we loaded up this app. She cautioned that its not always accurate. Thank goodness my aides don't depend on this app to work. Some days both aides will show and some days only one will, even though I can still hear from both ears just fine. Some days it shows the percentage of battery left and sometimes its completely wrong. (New batteries should show as 100 % when first put in, right?) The location option works perfect though!

with the latest updates to the app the connectivity has been so much better. I do have a suggestion or request, is it possible to create a companion app for the watch. Just a very basic volume adjustment would be helpful, also a mute option and program change would be so great and helpful.

Extremely buggy, once in a great while app will correctly sync on my Android phone so I can take/listen to phone calls through my hearing aids. App will no longer will sync so I can listen to music on phone. App should be updated so it works correctly. I have a Samsung A25 which utilizes Android 14 for its operating system.

Been using this app for 8 months and since this new update my hearings aids will not pair together. One day the left connects, next day the right. Its frustrating when y'all supposedly make updates to apps they are always worse. Please fix the issues. Update: Ok I read one of y'alls response to another review to figure out how to fix my issue. Maybe put unpairing hearing aids from previous apps on Bluetooth in your description might help others in the future. Thank you.

Phone "Android " and this new Oticon app are not compatible. Keeps changing the "Media output" on its own. I set the out put to this phone, and 10 minutes later, it changes back to the hearing aid speakers. Felt like it blew out my ear drums. Have fought this for a week so far. Will have to unpair from your app.

I was just forced to get upgraded to Oticon Companion . The new app does the same thing as the old one but instead of all modes on one page you have to scroll through more screens. I finally figured out speech booster, still harder than before. Speech Booster does very little to help ! GARBAGE ! Go back to the old app.

Wish I could give zero stars... On version 1.3.1 - It Lost Functionality of Last App -- Before I could have a "floating" quick adjustment bar up iny quick notices w/out whole app running. New update doesn't do that. -- -- -- New colors doesn't make it better. -- -- -- This app is less functional, eats battery on mobile more quickly that the old app, connection is buggy at best & it disconnects much more than the old app. -- Bad move Oticon Good thing I'm going with another company soon

What happened to the ability to personalize tinnitus settings? I used the original Oticon ON app for several years, until they forced this one on users. Searched the net for effective solution, found none. My guess is Oticon focused on the iPhone and did consider Android users. Guess what? I'm not going to scrap my Android and buy an iPhone just so I can use the Oticon app. This new app falls short, especially considering the high cost of my hearing aids. Extremely disappointed.

Right side and left side hearing aids keep going off. Update. Another issue I'm having is that when I use my hearing aids to answer a call, sometimes the other person can't hear me, and or I'm forced to keep the phone near my mouth to answer the person. Sort of defeats the purpose of the Bluetooth. I believe more updates are needed. These hearing aids are quite costly and I should not have to struggle with the app. I just upgraded my phone and thought that would help, but it didn't.

I'm using this with Intent 1's and the app is constantly dropping one hearing aid or the other in streaming or fails to connect completely. All-in-all it's a pretty hokey and clunky app. Let's get real, solid, stable and reliable BT has been around for a long long time including with all major brands of hearing aids, the level of instability associated with this app is quite surprising.

Just switched to this app a few minutes ago from the Oticon ON app that I've been using for 3 years. With this new app, my aids won't stream any sound at all, notifications, videos, games, music, phone calls, nothing. I'm not sure what the purpose of the app is when it doesn't do anything except change the volume, I can do that on my hearing aids. This is disgusting and, frankly, should be criminal to remove functionality from people who have a disability.

When I first downloaded this app in February the speech booster icon was fantastic, even better than speech in noise program. At some point possibly an update, it stopped working. It does nothing now and I really miss it. I have asked and not been able to find out exactly what gets tweaked when you turn on this speech booster. Knowing that would be helpful in understanding and attempting to fix it.
