This has changed how I interact with.my phone. I don't like clutter on my home screen and this is a necessary component. I use Nova gestures to pull up the panels rather than the built-in swipe method and I can do that because the devs have thought about this and include a toggle to allow this. The set up is not totally intuitive, but once you figure it out, it's great. There are a few features I'd like to see them add over time, but almost no one will come across any limitation. 4.5 stars!

Once I got the hang of it and how to add items, I've gone crazy. Newest Pixel update when pulling down the control center at the top, you have to pull it twice now to get to settings and brightness. In the panels app, I was able to add Quick Settings button which auto pulls down the control center as if I pulled down twice. Quick access to sounds, wifi networks, Bluetooth devices and a whole slew of stuff that I use many times but don't have time to find the actual app if I'm in another app.

Great app! There is one bug though when using it on a system without a touch screen. It allows selecting an app on the panel using keyboard arrows, but at first it doesn't launch the app when you press enter - nothing happens; you need to click on the app icon with a mouse, even though it was focused by using keyboard arrows. This only happens on the first interaction with the panel though. All subsequent interactions work fine.

I was confused between s22u and p6p and edge panels was one of the big decision factor. Setting up is a bit hard but once you get used to it it's amazing. This app brings that over to pixel and is great! However if you can include an option to open apps in split window mode that would be pretty great (unless it's already included and I just don't know how to do it)

The setup can be a little tricky unless you watch the helpful videos first (do it). Now that I did, I LOVE how customizable all the features are. I can swipe and access anything I want -a contact, an app, a folder, a setting, etc.- even while in another app (or not- you can turn this off). My panel has the 8 apps I most frequently interrupt my other apps with (as in, when I give up relaxing on Pinterest because my kid randomly has 6 things to add to her Amazon wishlist NOW). I highly recommend.

Difficult app. I'm used to Samsung sidebar and it is easy to customize. You could just hold the bar and position it wherever you wanted. I've recently updated my phone to the Motorola RAZR plus. I love this phone! I love it better than all of the flips I have owned. I give Samsung credit for the sidebar functionality, but this panels app is not working for me at all. I paid for it and used it for over a month. I uninstalled it, it's frustrating. I could not figure out how to change the color...

There are a handful of apps that I make sure are always installed on my phone & this is one of them. Any app, bookmark, shortcut, action...basically anything your device is capable of is within easy reach of your thumb. Makes using your device 1 handed at all times possible. And it looks however you want it to. Samsung's lazy, corner-cutting, half-assed devs take note.

I really like Panels a lot. It comes closest to solving a basic problem for me (I was spoiled by years of KEYᵒⁿᵉ & KEY² shortcuts & speedkey). However, the ability to customize icons is broken. It seemed fine but a few updates ago it failed, replacing icons with 🚫. After each update I try again, within a day (sometimes within minutes), they all turn to 🚫 again. I have to kill & relaunch it for default icons to appear, then I can't customize it without it happening again. 5⭐ but for this issue.

After updating to Android 13, I experienced an issue with my launcher dock not functioning correctly. I decided to search for an Edge Dock app I had used before, and that's when I stumbled upon this app. To my surprise, it's a complete game-changer. It not only resolved my problem but also greatly streamlined and enhanced my home screen desktop. In short, it's truly impressive! Without a doubt, it deserves a five-star rating. 👍

Almost perfect. I love the app but it's missing a flashlight, Bluetooth, wifi, a screen rotation toggle, i also can't save a panel with the icons that I want to pull it with two different triggers. I would have to add the same icons to two different panels if I want that. I also can't have two different triggers on the same side of the screen. I used to use swiftly because it has anything and everything you can think of, but it has become unstable so I'm giving this app a try

Best thing since Everywhere Launcher. Very smooth and clean and auto backup feature (though I haven't tested restoring). Love how can reorganize items directly, although not able to move items in and out of folders yet. Would feel mostly complete in comparison if it had scrollable panel because I have a lot of apps and don't want to put them all in folders. Also multiple trigger points on same side, individual panel settings, higher widget resolution, etc.

Was working fine on my Pixel 7, but then I upgraded the app and now the trigger will disappear periodically. It's very frustrating. I even reinstalled the app and the trigger still disappears randomly. The weird thing is, the Panels app icon is still shown as running in my task list at the top of my screen and on my active apps slide down list. If I click Panels on that list, the trigger returns again (for a while). I have all permissions enabled, no battery restrictions on the app, etc.

If I have any grievance, it is that you can't click through the trigger. Sure, you can see through it, but not click through the trigger, even setting the trigger as invisible is no use. Try it yourself while trying to send a Facebook post, you would either have to minimize the keyboard and expose the send button, or hide the trigger then show the trigger after sending. Definitely better than the Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 limited edge panel feature.

I used to use Diesel Pro but sadly it's no longer supported and no longer works. I was looking for a replacement and noticed there aren't many options out there. Then I found Panels and decided to try it out. It is everything I was looking for so I upgraded to the premium version. If you're looking for an app that allows you to make shortcuts, the free version is good enough. If you want to be able to add folders to your panels, upgrade to the premium. For $3 you can't go wrong.

I really like the flexibility of this app. I've used other side panel apps for many years and I really like this one for its variety of options. I'd give it a four and three quarters stars really. The only issue is a bug that hides the panel on my screen when I lock and unlock the screen. This is a bug that affects another side panel app as well, apparently. I discovered I can avoid issues from it by quickly pulling up the phone's app menu quickly and dropping back to the home menu.

It works great... Until I open the Settings app. For some reason, after I open Settings, the edge trigger no longer responds to swipes to open the panel. To fix it, I have to manually open the Panels app from the app drawer (not sure why)... Then it works again, but only as long as I don't open the Settings app. If this bug could be fixed, I'd happily give a 5-star rating. I'm on a Pixel 3 XL running Android 12.

I have a Pixel 6 Pro. This was a 5 start review originally because I love the features of this app but for the last year it doesn't stay on. It will just disappear and I have to go open it for the panel to reappear. It DOES still start when the phone does. It just gets turned off and I can't figure out how to stop that from happening.

I really like Panels, but it crashes on my phone way too much. I can expect at least 5 to 7 crashes throughout the day. I'm not sure if it's an Android 14 thing or not as this didn't happen on my old phone which ran Android 13. I have hope that Panels will become stable again, but I'm searching for an alternative as the crashes have become frustrating.

the app has a big flaw in that it runs above other apps and you have to turn the app off just to accept locations on websites or to turn your mic on for video calls. it can be quite annoying. it also doesn't show all the time. I have to swipe right on my home screen, then the tab will show up where I can access the panel where as on Samsung devices the tab is always present and doesn't run above other apps preventing certain functions. I have purchased this app hoping it would function the same

If you get an error in Chrome, the "Display Over Other Apps" phone setting is probably causing it. Use the FAQ to fix it. It's a more robust but also more buggy alternative to Samsung's side panel. It's very customizable and works with icon packs, but the widgets disappear a lot and the apps icons keep changing to a default icon. I swipe from the sides to go back and the button for apps and accidentally open the panel half the time regardless of location and size. If you don't, you'll be fine.
