Completely fails to stream on chromecast android tv The most it would ever do is display an ad then an error message. I tried streaming it on an android device, and an ios, those failed as well. Finally purchased the service through amazon and it worked without a problem. Shame on you paramount for accepting payment on an app/service that you know will fail.

Must force stop the app before opening it each time or whatever I choose to watch I'll be told it isn't available in my country - even when I'm asking to resume playback of something I was already watching. It's a pain in the neck and has been happening since the last update of this sluggish app which often stutters and has frequent momentary audio dropouts. I paid a year in advance for ad-free, but every time I open the app it opens in a commercial for laundry soap or injury lawyers.

Worst streaming app I've used. Got a GC to this for buying a new TV. At the time, they had a year promo for $50/month but you couldn't use it for GCs. Emailed support, got no response other than "resolved" with nothing done. The app itself is horrible. I cannot get it to remember ANYTHING I do. Every single time I open it, I have to search for the show, season, and episode where I left off at and FF to the right location. This happens on my Shield (android), Apple TV, and Desktop.

Had a horrible experience trying to subscribe to Paramount+ and watch the series 1923. Subscribed thru Amazon, but Paramount+ APP would not work on my TV. Tried everything to no avail. Finally watched by connecting my laptop to my TV, not the best way to watch. After a few episodes, decided to drop Paramount+ and buy the series thru Amazon Prime. Something I found while trying to fix this said to sign up using Google Play. Now I can't unsubscribe from that. Never want to try that again.

I’m just trying to cancel the service and it’s impossible. The only option available to manage the subscription in Google play is the payment method. When I try to cancel through the app, it tells me to go through the platform I originally created the account. Confused. It should be just as easy to drop a service as it is to get tangled in one.

User interface is frustrating as hell.. Have to start playing to backout and get information half the time, the playback controls are hit and miss, you will FF beyond where you think you FF to every single time (its as if the FF preview is about 20 steps behind the actual FF position) and it never saves your viewing progress - doesn't even save if you watched the episode of a series making it difficult to come back to shows.

Can I give 0 stars? Apparently not. I've attempted to use this app on my nvidia shield tv numerous times over the year or so that I've subscribed to the service, and the app has never, despite many attempts to uninstall/reinstall, succeeded in getting past the splash screen. All I get is a flash of blue on the screen, and sometimes as far as the mountain logo appearing, and then it unceremoniously dumps back to the previous screen.

Absolute waste of time. Even if you pay for premium you still gets ads for shows you could easily see when browsing their content. I was really excited about this app, there were a lot of shows I was interested in. Not only do they still give you ads when you are paying to not have them, those ads are causing a malfunction with the streaming system and will cause massive buffering problems, or I will just get a black screen and nothing will load. I'm shocked to see this has been around for a year and there were people with the same exact issues I've experience in month I used this service. I will never try again no matter what is streaming on this app. It's too much of hassle to waste your time trying work around a poorly designed streaming service.

The Paramount Plus app does not do what it is supposed to. Frequently I can't play the programs that I subscribed for. There is a cost for most of the programs and movies on the app in addition to the monthly fee I pay for the app. Then to add more humiliation to that insult there are usually commercial messages during the programs, once again a cost on top of the monthly fee and the purchase price.

I have this app installed on my new Sony XR-55A80J OLED TV. Every time I go into Picture Settings to make an adjustment, the image disappears from the screen so I can't see what kind of effect the adjustment has until I exit out of Picture Settings. All of the other apps I have always show the image on the screen when I go into Picture Settings so I can see what effect each setting has when I make a change. Overall, the app also seems to be slow and unresponsive. It's really irritating to deal with this when I'm trying to set up the best picture possible to watch content on this app. I don't remember it being this bad on my old Roku TV.

Lately, it's difficult to get shows or movies once you hit play. Call to see if there was an issue on my end, we walked through some troubleshooting, with no results. I was told an email from there support team, was sent in order to resolve the issue, I would need to fill it out; even though the customer service Representative acknowledgment the service having issues... this has gone on for 4 mos, not working, no email still getting charges; prefer my money back.

Cannot say enough bad things about this service. Doesn't have content it says it will like NFL playoff games. Removes content that exists without warning like survivor australia. Lower quality streaming then just about all other services. Trouble with the apps themselves breaking, stuttering, double playing over itself, needing constant restarting. and to top it all off, Impossible to cancel subscription depending on how you set it up. I get better TV service from my blender.

Horrible Android TV app. Every time the developers claim in the changelog that they've made improvements, they, instead, have made the app worse. Please get rid of the new, intrusive "What do you want to watch?" pop-up that eventually appears after opening the app. Please add back the row that included recently aired shows on CBS. It was very convenient in locating new shows/episodes, Also, when a new or returning show premieres, it would nice if it appeared somewhere above the fold--or, for that matter, anywhere on the homescreen--so that the user doesn't have to search for it. Perhaps you could fix the bugs in the "Keep Watching" row, which is only sporadically accurate. Overall, this app provides a terrible user experience, both aesthetically and functionally. Of all the apps created by the "major" streamers, the Paramount+ app is by far the worst.

I've been a subscriber for 5 years on the base plan with ads. The app on my Android TV has always been glitchy since DAY 1. But I'm a patient man, and CBS has shows that I want to watch, so I've stuck with it. A few weeks ago, I wanted to watch the new series Yellowstone:1883...but the app almost refused to load any of the episodes. Each time I opened the first episode, an ad screen would appear, but already frozen and stuck. Or the ad screen would change to a blue or black screen and stay there indefinitely (I waited for 30 minutes to see). Out of frustration I clicked the back button and then the episode button, back and forth DOZENS of times and ONCE miraculously the episode loaded the ad and then played the show. This was weeks ago and I've still only seen 2 episodes of 1883, because the same thing happens each time I try to watch. I'm able to open other TV shows and Movies, but NOT 1883. Though to be clear, all other shows/movies do glitchy things too, just not to this level of madness. I logged on to my account today to upgrade to the Premium Ad-free thinking that the issue must be with the Ads Subscription, but then I saw all the negative reviews for even those WITH AD FREE subs. No thanks. As I said, I'm a patient man, so I'll keep the Ads subscription, but I am so disappointed with CBS/Paramount for having the ABSOLUTE WORST Streaming app that I have EVER used... BAR NONE. I use DISNEY+, NETFLIX, HULU, HBOMAX, AMAZON PRIME, GOOGLE PLAY, PEACOCK, VUDU and none of them are as glitchy as PARAMOUNT+ (CBS ALL ACCESS). My patience is running thin. You should start from scratch, take notes from other developers from the above list, and build something that actually works for your paying customers... before we all lose our patience and you lose our dollars.

Won't quite call it absolute garbage, but it's close. Doesn't do 4K or HDR. Routinely stops to buffer and never restarts. Takes multiple clicks to get to live TV, but you have to wait in between each because it is so slow. I don't usually have issues actually getting it to work, it just takes a while. If I'm paying for your service, why can't I pause or rewind live TV? Oh, and let's not forget that this ONLY works on my Chromecast with Google TV. If I cast to one of my regular Chromecasts, it just stutters and skips constantly and is completely useless.

I usually have a problem with the screen going black during commercials. I have to get out if the app and go back in a couple of times and scroll back a couple of frames to get the picture back. Last night 3/4 of the way through a movie, it buffered and then no more sound. I had sound on Netflix so I watched that. Today I tried to watch “Evil,” which is the whole reason I got Paramount Plus. No sound. I uninstalled it and now it won’t let me install it again. This app doesn’t work!

I'm using this on an NVIDIA Shield and the app is dreadfully slow and clunky. From the time I click on the app to the time that the show begins, it will range anywhere from 1 minute to 10 minutes. That's quite a spread!! It takes forever to get past the blue screen to the screen with the mountain & stars and once I'm into the app and able to click on a show, it takes a long time to load the commercial and then it gets stuck. Just stuck there in the commercial. And if it is able to complete the commercial on the first try, it might start playing the commercial a second time and then it gets stuck. I'll then reboot my Shield once or twice and keep trying the app and if I'm able to get through the commercial and begin the TV show, I can normally make it through the whole episode. But the commercials sometimes get stuck as I go through the episode. Based on other reviews, ya'll have some work to do.

Hands down the worst streaming app I have ever used. When I tried watching Halo, things like pausing and fast forwarding were a gamble as to whether i'd have to hard reset the app. I'm now trying to watch an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation: "An error has occurred", I am able to watch the episodes before and after it. I tried force stopping and clearing the cache of the app. I did a hard reset of the Nvidia Shield. Nothing worked. Doesn't save progress between pc/web and app. Terrible.

I hate this app. I don’t like apps that force you to watch commercials even though your paying for it. These companies are double dipping. The app updated and now there are commercials to begin an episode when there wasn’t before. The problem is that now it freezes everytime I go from the end of an episode to the next Everytime!! Now I have to back out and with the sluggishness of the app, it’s an annoyance. Sometimes that doesn’t work. I’m looking at a blank screen right now with a 7 inside a circle and the word advertisement next to it in the upper left corner. Frozen. Sometimes I have to back out 4 times then restart the app to continue watching. Also. During the end credits nothing happens but with literally seconds left a button pops up asking to skip the credits. Lol. With the update sometimes the button pops up right away but now it freezes. I’m on a free trial. I’ll never pay for this. Zero stars.

They must have had to try hard to make a streaming app this bad. (a) UI is super slow to respond to input, (b) video frequently pauses / janks, (c) after commercial breaks, about 85% of the time, it jumps back to the same section of video you *just* watched, sticking you in a loop of trying to fast-forward back to where you were... only to have to watch the same commercials again and again. And all this for a service we PAID for. Atrocious.
