Needs massive fixes!!! Fingerprint login causes infinite loop back to fingerprint dialog. Cancel to Pin just goes back to fingerprint. Was able to access account without credentials by force-quitting app several times and jamming the top "back" arrow in between dismissing the fingerprint dialog! 😱 Took 3 attempts to transfer money because it never went to the confirmation screen the first 2 times, but reported money as sent. I'm only using this app because there is no alternative. 😡

Tried setting up my account, and it couldn't find me in the system. Talked to "customer service" via live chat, and they wasted my time by asking how I heard of them rather than just tell me straight away that they couldn't help me. Not sure how the business actually works, but their customer service is null. Wouldn't recommend if you have any other options available. Thanks again for wasting my time when I just needed help. There's no tutorial for any features of the app, so I struggled with the savings feature that would have helped me with a budget. The trouble with it is how difficult it is to figure out what kind of math it's using. Unlike most users, I was able to get with customer service quickly even if the chat function was useless (they asked me how they could help then responded five minutes later with "please call this number to get help" and nothing else). The app isnt user friendly, I uninstalled it.

When it works, it is great. Unfortunately, the system tends to be down more than it actually works. Please fix your system. Based on the reviews, I am not the only one having reoccurring issues logging in and/or accessing my available funds. 09/14/23 Still can't access my available funds. Notified Payactiv initially 08/24/2023. Customer service reports it is a technical issue and they don't know what it is or when it will be fixed. Requested assistance twice so far with no resolution of issue.

It's fine when it wants to work. But it never updates on a regular basis, always kicks me from the app, has a really difficult time even just trying to log in, and rarely shows everything on each page (1:7 times on it showing everything vs just a few things). It's frustrating. Plus I've tried to use the card at specific restaurants and it declines every time (the local Dairy Queen). Last time I tried there, PayActive locked my card on me for trying too many times.

First time seeing it, last time using it. In fact I wasn't even able to set up an account, I followed the method where it's sends you a confirmation link and after I clicked on it, I got no where but, the fact that it kept saying error and that the link was basically useless. Very poor quality of an app. Very disappointed, but, I had a feeling it was gonna cause me hassle to begin with.

Note that some of the issues I have are with the service and not the app. Took over a month after my date of employment to successfully create an account. In contrast, I was successfully able to create an account with another employer's advance pay service (Dailypay) in less than a week. Edit/Update 5/09/2021: Overall much more pleased with the service, in general. Although I find the app/website upgrade confusing, and doesn't add value. And I no longer see card transaction merchant info.

Terrible application! I wouldn't recommend this app to my worst enemy! What's the catch? I'll tell you what the catch is! Doesn't accurately record your earned wages for days at a time so that you end up having to take out smaller amounts rather than the whole amount for the wages you've earned. Each time you withdraw wages they charge you $1.99, so you end up paying out several service fees instead of just one fee. It's glitchy, inaccurate, a rip off & zero customer service. No Integrity!!!

There are so many issues with this app. The chat option rarely works, and it never warns you if you lose connection with someone. At least once a week the app won't allow you to log in, and sometimes it's really difficult to get my pay updated. I hate that it has been so needed, I probably wouldn't use it unless it had been absolutely necessary at times. Thankfully the fees are small, maybe 2 at most but sometimes its wavered, and the agents you talk to when you CAN reach someone are helpful.

This app and bank are trash honestly. When I was using it, the app would constantly crash, and when the money would be loaded onto the account varied. It's also difficult trying to even find what you need because it's so scattered across the app. Also, I have been trying to close my account for a month now and I keep getting the same run around that they'll send it to a support team, and that they'll have to review everything just to close the account....

I'm giving this a one due to the fact all the issues I have had. 1. Still can't access EWA. 2. EWA never shows up on app. 3. I have had to sign up 3 times, since app won't accept password each time. Won't even send one time code to reset password. 4. Won't connect to employer at all so I can get into EWA. I have talked to support 4 times now. New-now I cannot log into my account. They say I have access to a certain amount but I can't see it. Please fix these issues. Very Frustrating.

Access to the app is rough, when it works its honestly a life saver and the simplest thing to do. I love being able to access and do what I need all within a few short minutes. However for the last two days I've been unable to access the app. I've been unsuccessful in getting past the log in portion and the problem started when I activated the finger print password. If this can be resolved for the future I would be open to revising my score and comment.

Horrible Optimization | The app and website have the worst optimization I've ever seen, you have to re-launch the app up to almost 3 times to get all the features functioning and visible, Doesn't display funds correctly most of the time, and very frustrating when it comes to checking out at a register. I have my funds in a saving profile, so I'll move some money (or try to atleast) and it takes so long having to restart the app just to get everything there.

A good service, in theory. Their customer support system leaves much to be desired. I've reached out multiple times for the same issue. Every time all I get is "hang on" and then a disconnect 5 minutes later, or the app timing out. If it times out, you can't go back to your old chat with support, but have to start a new one. With the same results. I would much rather at *least* have the option to contact via email so there will be a chain to refer to. My issue is still unresolved.

The service is convenient, when it works properly. I consistently have issues with earned funds appearing at seemingly random intervals, and my hours worked constantly shows zero. It's not useful for tracking anything, and I wouldn't depend on it for accessing funds. Customer service is friendly but useless. Use a computer to log in, the app is trash.

At the end of the day, it gets you what you need. It's seriously buggy though. Start up lags, and sometimes gets stuck on a blank screen. It's only after a few minutes or force close/reopens, that it works. Even switching from each section/tab can freeze the app. This app could be great, but it lags hard. Here's a Pro: It allows you to login by way of ADP.

App runs like trash. Takes 3 solid minutes just trying to open the homepage and then gives up. Every single feature is the same, either completely non-functional or semi-functional if you have unlimited free time and saintly patience. I've been screwing with it for like an hour, and most of that has been load screens presented after I attempted to close ads for their features, which resulted in "unable to process request" and more load screens to nowhere. Absolute garbage.

App is no good after the last update it loads slow, that's if it loads at all ! Its like rolling the dice on if its going to work or not. So if you reallly have an emergency for cash please make sure that you have a contingency plan. I will be closing my account with payactiv immediately if this problem persists, because im not going to be paying for a service that i cannot even utilize when i need it. And the two stars is because at one point it was working fairly.

I find this app really useful, but there's some features that never seem to work. I still love it, and use it fairly often. But, for the last month, or so, my hours have stopped logging, and I'm no longer able to pull any earned wages off. (Edit) it's now been over a month, and still no word back, even after emailing, and trying to reach to reach support through the app.

Update: everyone at this company are liars UPDATE: This app is a complete scam. They are super unreliable for ANYTHING. Don't do it. Stay away. This is the absolute worst app ever! You can't get a hold of anyone at all ever! Constant crashes with two separate phones, it always errors, difficulty signing in EVERY TIME and loading funds. I have to type my password at least 4 times before it will sign me in. I have to delete and reinstall at least once a week. Not worth the trouble.
