Edit: Developer kindly implemented the suggestion of allowing slideshow in reverse order so now it really is my favourite gallery and a true 5* app. I use F-Stop by same developer for serous work as it has advanced features such as display on map (very useful) and attribute editing, but for simple, easy, and high quality picture viewing, EZ Gallery is great. Thank you so much, a well worthwhile purchase.

Works great on pixel 8, but aren't sure when using this on pixel 9, when you move photos and video, date and time gets overwritten? It didn't do that before? Is there a setting wrong? Seems like I can't find keep modification date

One issue - when i leave off a photo it resets the roll position and i have to scroll back manually to get where i was, REALLY annoying (especially with videos since you can't switch between them like you can with photos) Please fix this! Best app for photos in my opinion

Interface is okay looking, but needs better file system management. For example, copying/moving photos into a folder with photos with the same names and file extensions will be overwritten without any confirmation. The app needs a feature to confirm and inform users that duplicate photos and videos can overwrite those in destination folders with same name and extension, or their names can be appended to avoid complication, or can be skipped if prompted

As of 04/06/2022 the "hide folder" feature is missing despite still being in settings after a recent update. There was also supposed to be an update to use a random frame from a video instead of the very first frame (to prevent having videos with black thumbnails) but that is either broken, or they forgot to roll it out when releasing the update.

I have to tell you I really like this application. Some people may not because it is downright simple. But that is exactly what I need, as I'm not into picture galleries that match photos and upload them and available across services... I just need a simple photo gallery with access to all my pictures that I can do basic enhancements and that has an easy and well-defined user interface. EXACTLY what this app is. I've been using it several months now and it is still my ONLY photo gallery.

Good interface, but issues with deleting files and moving them to recycle bin. The shell of the file with black icon remains in camera folder and causes data not found issues when scrolling through photos. Maybe just the issue on my particular Android version. Found no way to resolve (folder refresh doesn't help) other than phone restart, so will be uninstalling.

The app is perfect for what I needed - a place to keep my photos! The only drawback is that I can't crop a photo within the gallery. I have to go into "edit", select a new app to crop and that creates a new image. (Other galleries on the other phones I've had, allowed a basic crop feature and I definitely used it). It seems the inability to move photos within the app may have been user-error! 😉

This app is easy to use and customizable. I really like that it shows you the file path for folders (though there's an option to turn that off if you don't like it!). If it didn't overwrite the last modified date when moving photos, it might become my new main gallery app. Its media access settings are a bit clunky at first but easy to work and very privacy-respecting.

I've always had an issue with how this app handles permissions, but I got past that. My problem is that when you move photos from one folder to another, instead of moving the original file, it copies and then deletes. This means that images DLed together often get separated (this is an important organizational point for me), but recently, I moved a large number of images at once and 47 of those images were corrupted! And since the originals were deleted, they're gone for good now.

Bought the full version of the app a couple of years ago, but an android update completely ruined the permissions and made the app EXTREMELY frustrating to use, as nearly every interaction would require a trip through Settings. A recent update, whether to the app or the OS, seems to have fixed this problem. Still my favorite photo app as far as navigation and appearance. Hopefully that issue doesn't repeat itself!

This is pretty nice app for showing photos to family on the tablet. The click on right side/left side is nice because it avoids the jarring left right swipe effect. Would be even nicer if the right/left side click could have an option to quick fade transition. Also need an input box for the slide duration so less than 5 seconds can be entered. People don't like long slide shows and I find 3 to 4 seconds ideal and even very fast is to quick. F-stop needs the same option for user entry.

Moving to a high-powered new phone (Xperia 1 III) with an extremely sub-standard native photo app, Gallery EZ doesn't have all the great edit features my Oppo Reno 10x had in its native app, but it absolutely has the speed and ease. So many gallery apps slow to a crawl if you set then to show "all" photos, but not Gallery EZ. It is a life-saver if you do a lot of on-phone editing, take screenshots and downloads, and need them all to show sequentially and immediately in the same "latest" view.

Update 2/26/24 - Really love the simplicity of this app! I wish all apps were this good. Original Review: Great app which does what it's supposed to. Well organized, easy to use, and very thorough when it comes to managing your media and photos. I will definitely keep using it and recommend it. Can honestly say that it is the best for what it is. Dont understand all the complaints. Its Free! Keep up the great work and ignore the naysayers.

Edit: Sorry I wasn't able to respond sooner; work is like that. Thumbnails now display and the app is usable after a second update. They display kind of chunky and low res, but they're there. Thank you for being quick with that. I'm glad this Gallery app doesn't make my PNG images look like Jpegs with artifacting, like Simple Gallery does nowadays. That used to be my main Gallery app, but it has declined in quality. Overall this works very well, just the thumbnails are pretty low res.

No, I don't have the time or interest. Simply undo whatever you did that ruined a great app that worked for years. Don't improve what doesn't need improving just for the sake of staying busy. When I see you've restored the original app, I'll reinstall. It's a mess. When I want to edit, it directs me to the edit? icon (never did before) I push it and nothing happens. No edit features appear. I've reloaded the app twice, same problem. Whatever changes you made, ruined it. Moving on.

Used to be a good app. Ever since the latest update can't delete folders unless I select every image and delete them. I have a folder with 700 photos that I need to get rid of and the only way to delete it is to click each image. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm on a Google pixel 7 and the latest update broke my app Edit. 12 days later and still can't get the app to work. Especially since I paid to use this app.
