4/4/24 - newest update out. Still cannot connect my competition series Titan to wifi. Ridiculous. Latest app update did not correct known Wifi issues (on Android) when trying to connect on the Competition Titan. It will "see" my 2.4ghz network just fine but stays on the "loading" screen forever and never connects. This needs to be addressed ASAP.

Well, this really stinks. I've used this app and smoker twice with no issues. Now the app says my login info is incorrect and when I go to reset the password, the system says my email doesn't exist. So then I go to "setup" an account and no matter what email I use, the email is already connected to an account. There's no way that all 5 of my emails have accounts with Pit Boss. The app was good for the 2 times it worked....

Doesn't even deserve a review but will give it at least one star, since the idea of it is great just way too many technical issues. Log in problems, connection to the smoker issues, can't even find recipes without it going hay wire. I've un-installed and installed it plenty of times. I give up with it.

Wish the app worked as well as the competition smoker I bought. App won't track the smoking process. Doesn't send notifications unless you have the app open. Can't control the smoker through the app unless you are connected with Bluetooth or are on the same wifi network - can't monitor while out and about. Bottom line - don't depend on this app for your smoking process - whatever you are smoking will be ruined.

Back to 1 star. Got a new phone. Won't let me log in at all. So I try to reset password, says too many resets, which h others online have said they get the same error. Seriously, how hard is it to make an app? Especially when it's your business? Made an app for my company that tracks real time, give notifications and eta at different route points, in 2 weeks. And this app can't handle a simple password reset!

Wow, what a pain to update. A tip I would recommend is to change your phone font size. I am old so I have my font size larger, so what happens is it cuts off the pit boss app screen prompts. Important ones like "continue". And the phone needs to be practically on top of the smoker controller. After an hour got it updated. We shall see what improvements have been made. Pit Boss if your out there please flash your software before shipping new controllers. Would save a huge headache to the users

The app will not connect to my brand-new smoker, despite seeing it available and being able to initiate a connection attempt. I brute forced it with the grill, but after 20 minutes of tapping "Retry" when the connection inevitably fails I have decided to give up. Thankfully the smoker still works as intended, you just have to manually adjust things. If an app doesn't pair with your products, then why bother having an app? 1 star, only because I can't give 0 and still leave a review.

Bought a brand new Titan the other day. I've got three butts on it right now - the first cook. I've got good Wi-Fi connection, I'm using both probes, and I'm getting good data from them on the pit and the app. But when I try to use the app's cooking graph I get no readings, not even ambient. Ambient is enabled but it says "probe not connected" on both ports. And I can't set probe temp limits because the app won't accept numbers! Come on, guys...

Doesn't stay connected to my smoker via Bluetooth or WiFi so temperature notifications and timers are useless. Updating firmware was a nightmare because there was no indication or notification that location services needed to be enabled. Ability to change the grill temperature via this app is intermittent, usually have to force close the app to get it working again. App also doesn't save my favorite recipes. Complete garbage.

Just bought the new Titan on 6/1/24, Put it together the next day. Plugged it in and went through the process of connecting. Connected to Bluetooth, but can not connect to WiFi. I have a duel connection Mesh system. Retried multiple times. Changed to just 2.4Ghz, and still not connect. I am not understanding because it will pick up the network, but it won't connect. So, apparently, this past April 3rd update is not solving the problem. Better stars when they fix this problem.

For the most part, the app is fine. I haven't used the smoker in a few months and will be smoking some ribs tomorrow. I had to update the app, no biggie, and had to download the instruction manual to reconnect to wifi. Again, no biggie. I can deal with all that, but what I can't seem to figure out is how to retrieve all the smoking history with detailed notes I had. I really wanted to revisit a couple of recipes and techniques. I'm not mad.......just disappointed.

So far so good, fingers crossed. I saw a lot of 1 star reviews, but I had no problems connecting it to wifi and pairing it w bluetooth. Soon as I paired it I had to do an update before I could use the app which took awhile, prob 10mins. And also, not app related, my first cook I wasted a bit of pellets cause I set my temp for 180 but the pit I have is defaulted to startup at 225 before going to the temperature you set it to. You can easily change that in settings under startup. pro series 1150v3

App installed and is working controlling the pit. My issues are minor and don't affect how it works with the pit. It loses connection with my router but most likely because it's far from my router. The help items in the app for specific models is not helpful is you bought a Pit Boss model from Lowes. Not a big deal if you read manuals. The graph feature is one of those nice to have features but unfortunately it doesn't work.

There are quite a few bugs with the app that haven't been addressed in the year+ I've been using it. Most annoyingly if your phone changes the app orientation to landscape it won't connect back to your grill even if you were already connected. You have to close the app and restart. Next is when you are setting a goal temp for your probes the style boarders cut off the numbers. Can't get the grill to update, just stalls out each time (possibly not apps fault). Temp probe alarm stopped working.

Too many bugs! I like the features this app has but many features don't work correctly. Any recipes that I save in my favorites disappear after a day or less. The biggest issue I have, is the cooking graph. I currently have a pork shoulder that's been smoking for about 7 hours so far. I can check the internal and grill temps from the app but when I try to check the graph to see the stall time, it says no probes connected and doesn't even show my grill temp. Disappointed! Do better!

I'm giving this a 3. For some reason, I haven't had a lot of the issues that other users have had which I'm thankful for. Over all it has worked well, although I've only used it twice. Adjusts the temp in 5° increments. Shows the grill temp reliably. Shows the probe temps reliably. Shuts the grill down as it should. DEVELOPERS TAKE NOTE! The app doesn't save favorite recipes, and the probe temp setting does not show the numbers unless in landscape mode.

I've owned my smoker for 3 yrs. The first app 'Smoke it' wasn't perfect but it did the job. This new update/app is completely useless. I can't connect to the wifi or Bluetooth at all. I've removed it from my network and reinstalled it. Still can't connect. It's telling me to get in range to connect and standing next to it isn't enough to connect.
