Very difficult to use. I just can't get my head round the interface it's simply not intuitive. The key bits don't make sense e.g. How to change to another station. I can rarely achieve this. So am stuck now at a picture of a radio after hours of messing unable to now get to a websdr station. Would have bought this if it had worked well. Read the manual but still no joy. Uninstalling

What a great app. This app saves booting up the laptop and connecting an external ariel. The audio crashes sometimes but a quick restart and it's running again. People who complain about the interface don't know much about SDR dxing.....all thanks to the developer..great job

All i was able to do with This was to change frequency and and. Could not hear audio, which really not important to me anyway, but it will key the radio and automatically turn the radio to split mode. Oh and i was able to set power. Using a galaxy note 9. Not able to control volume rf gain/squelch. I may keep the free version so i can see what frequency my ft857d is on when i am mobile. Seems like it won't touch and other button than vfo or band switch. Paid for the pro it didnt do any more than

Flipping screen orientation resets bandwidth and waterfall zoom. Cant see frequency when in waterfall mode. Cant fine tune rx bandwidth, wide setting is not wide enough on bass freqs. Overall GUI is a bit cumbersome, not very intuitive. Phone back button does not work when app is active. Needs these issues fixed for 5 stars rating.

Sort of sometimes works but it messes up the settings when it connects to the IC-705. Turns display brightness to 0, audio gain to 0 and other settings like rf gain are set to 0. The app should be reading the rigs settings on connection and matching them on its display. The app should only change settings when the user changes them. It should especially not be changing things without input/confirmation from user. Just plain poor design. Would give zero stars after developer response.

UPDATE: The dev sent instructions a while back on how to use the app and we're rolling! Has most all the controls you need to control your rig. Lots of fun. Lots of features. Still dont understand everything it can do yet, but it works!! (Old review): Excellent feature rich app. The one thing that I'd like to see included (or at least linked to) would be some written support for the various radios that the app supports. cant find any info on how to properly connect my Xiegu G90 to this app...

Looking through the reviews of V3.0 of Pocket RxTx here, the outstanding problem in many of the posts is a lack of understanding of how the app works. I know we are all Radio Hams but please in this case R.T.F.M. (read the manual) before posting! Dan has developed a great product and in this (PRxTx) version you get it for free. Even the "pro" (PRxTx+) version is only 5 Euros! If your rig is not listed, RTFM, you can create your own control files with the PRO version. Dan is always willing to help. This App makes rig remote control available to "everyman" (or woman) without the high price tag of other (commercial) hardware solutions. A key point to understand is that there are two halves of this program, one is a remote control App that can control via USB, BT or Network and the other half is a client to access any of a long list of WebSDRs around the world. Again PLEASE R.T.F.M. 73

Followed instructions verbatim. Im using a FT857, via Bluetooth. Although I've selected the appropriate radio, and Bluetooth shows as connected. The app still cannot control the radio. I've given up on this app, after paying for the Pro-version. And I have read through the instructions step-by-step. I can't get this app to communicate with the Yaesu. Help!

Back up your radio's settings. This ap changes several settings on my 7300. It turns the display brightness to 0, locks the vfo, sets the mic gain and compression to 0, maybe others. However, I was impressed with how well it works for monitoring my radio over my home Lan. I haven't used it for transmitting.

Wont hook onto anything in Washington state. Just Georgia. Not seeking out closer SDR points even though I set app permissions to do so. Long press on/off works when it decides to. Ended up shutting off cold via app details.

The app is so cool and layed out well for a phone with a small screen but the large screen phones the app can not scale properly, that's sad. Fonts are sometimes to big and thing are not centered properly. But when they are like on a small screen it is so cool having a radio like a icon in your pocket. Hats off to the developer. Wow I just found the font size option, my apologies. Never new they were there under options.

Update. Creator has been EXTREMELY helpful. This is why I love the ham radio community. Top notch service and excellent communication. A great app, and a great ham. K1JSJ Crashes every time I try to connect to Bluetooth. Really want to like it, but its useless if I can't connect. If they get this bug fixed, I will update. Developer has responded, very quickly. Will update if there is a solution!

The constant pop up ads make it un-usable even to test it out. Could not change to a working server because the tik-tok install page took over the screen and would not allow the app to run. Why have a free version if is not workable? My advice is don't bother as you will be frustrated trying to test this app out.

I am an Amateur Radio operator and have been using this for a while to listen and compare it to what's being received on my own amateur radios. It had been a nice product and I was considering to buy it. Apparently an update came along because it acted like a new install and I had to enter my info again. Now it is saturated with too many ads. Not just banner ads, which are annoying but tolerable, but now full screen ads that won't go away. Absolutely unacceptable. Deleted it.

Super listening device on Websdr. To anyone new to shortwave radio: You need to get familiarized with how the bands work. Some only work properly at night, some only in daylight hours. Be aware of what time it is in the country of the server you are using. Also, make sure you are using the correct band setting for the frequency you are using (USB,LSB,FM,AM,etc.) Have fun listening, and as always, read the instructions before operating!

Little clunky and had to figure out where the power button was to get sound but that's my radio inexperience I guess. Some things to improve would be having favorites for the different servers or moving them around on the grid or maybe a sorting feature by region. You have to click into them then click out just to figure out where they are if you can't remember the call sign. Otherwise a great intro to ham radio for those that want to check out receiving.

Great app. The latest update, lost all my memories. No big deal but it keeps turning off by itself. I'm figuring it's a setting in my phone(galaxy 8) all settings set to let the app do what it wants(run in background, no restrictions on battery usage etc) but if it's running and I go to another app it keeps running until I go back to it(to change frequency)and it just shuts down. There's also times when its running and just shuts off while the phone is not being touched. I shouldn't have updated

I bought this much to my sorrow. I wanted this to fully control my radio, receive and transmit, as advertised. The small program installed on my PC changed some comm port settings which caused me issues elsewhere. In addition, the little PC program was unreliable and closed repeatedly without warning, which prevented connecting. There were also audio problems. Great idea in theory, but in my view, it needs much more work.

Cool little app to explore HAM radio. However an issue lately seems to be with a discrepancy between what is received vs. what is shown on the waterfall. It seems that I receive a signal, e.g. voices, when there is nothing showing in the selected portion of the waterfall, and when I do try to tune up with what seems to be a strong signal, there is only static. This has only started happening recently.
