This is the best podcast app out there for Android I've found so far! However, there are some limitations: the Playlist feature is unintuitive, and podcasts don't automatically play next even when they were put in the Playlist. Second, it would be great to have google assistant functionality in order to use voice commands to play podcasts while driving. I might be just missing something obvious, though. Overall, great app and worth 99c to remove ads!

Pretty good podcast app. It's worth paying for. I switched to it when Google shutdown their podcast app. Most things are pretty intuitive once you get used to it. There are some features I don't use that just take up space in the menu and I wish it were easier to switch between the playlist and the list of podcasts I subscribe to, but overall a solid app and I can't complain.

I was looking for something better than iHeart, but this is not it. The player works fine, tho the UI is not at all intuitive. The function buttons are not obvious. Switching to a diff episode requires 3 steps. Searching for content is tedious -- if you don't type in the exact correct name of the podcast, it tells you 'no results'. And there are other little weird things too. Feels like this app is in its birth stages and needs to grow.

I had to switch podcast providers with Google stopping it's podcast app. The transition was fairly easy. I struggle with this app from time to time. I know it's partly me still getting used to it. It works overall... But sometimes the play back is not right. It will almost buffer and skip back part of the way sometimes. I'm still getting used to it's features.

I like the app. I like the ability to customize apps, and this app has A LOT of settings that are customizable. Some of the settings are over my head. Even though there's an explanation, a lot of them are about things I don't understand. One thing I don't like is that the app starts to play in my car even when I have a radio station selected, or XM radio selected. If I change to one of those modes, it keeps switching back to Bluetooth audio and playing the most recent podcast.

I found this podcast app after the ending of Google Podcasts. I tried YouTube Music and PocketCast but they left a lot to be desired. I read about Podcast Addict and I am so glad I gave it a try. It is hands down the best podcast app I have ever used. Even better than Google Podcasts. Whenever your brain thinks there's a feature you'd like it to have, it is already there. It feels like it was developed by a person or team that loves podcasts and loves coding.

I spent a considerable amount of time looking for a Google Podcast alternative and, after testing out several highly-rated apps, I found Podcast Addict. As a true Android user, I LOVE all the customizable settings the app provides. If you're more of an iPhone type of person who just wants to open an app with a simple and elegant UI and start using it, this is probably not for you. But I love it! :) The only thing I miss having is the ability to automatically download episodes based on priority.

Great podcast player! Some slight usability issues like searching for new podcasts are not intuitive, I always struggle remembering how to do it, but overall this is an excellent app. It has a great selection of up to date podcasts, clearly displays which episodes you've already listened to, and has a lot of cool customizable features.

Unfortunately, I would recommend against paying for the subscription. I made that mistake, but it randomly stopped working after a few months even though I could prove I paid for it and that I was logged into the correct account. I contacted the developer and he said only Google support could help me. Google Support said that only the developer could help me. Neither would offer a refund. Bottom line: the app subscription I paid for is still broken and Google can't/won't do anything about it.

A. It's hard to just search from home page you have to click the "plus"....counter intuitive B. It gives me a choice to sort episodes in all the podcast but newest or oldest...something's I am starting from beginning some the latest...I want the sort to be the same for all podcast so I am constantly changing it. C. When I click on info for specific episode I should be able to hit play then and not have to swipe back to the list to hit play

Every time I switch from one Bluetooth device to another, the app crashes and I have to reboot my phone to get it working again. This is a very dirty app. I would not recommend installing it until they fix this issue. I am not going to reboot my phone every time I get out of my truck and try to switch to whatever personal Bluetooth device I happen to be wearing because of this dirty app. I have 6 other apps similar to yours, though yours is the only app that does it. Your app tells me to reboot.

I enjoy a lot about this app. I do wish the current track would be visible in every screen, but that's a small qualm given the many useful features, like the playlist, and the ability to rename podcasts to help keep track of them. I also enjoy the flexibility in how and when updates are downloaded that makes saving on data easy.

Edit to developer: I have reached out to you and you just put the problem back on me, so I don't feel like reaching out to you is helpful. Yes, this isn't the first time I've used technology. I know all the troubleshooting steps. This app is fine but 1) don't advertise ad free if I'm still going to get ads 2) it lags/glitches a lot 3) It has a lot of room for improvement. Instead of listening to feedback, you just fight every negative review. Try listening to the issues MANY people have shared

It functions just fine, very reliable. The UI could use just a little work, though. As another user pointed out, it is not the most intuitive and it wasn't easy to find the play button and I'm still not used to it. If the developer sees this, I know you already replied to a user saying there is already a large play button to the right of each episode, but that is not correct. We see a large download button to the right of the episodes. I don't want to download it, I want to stream it.

Great option since Google fazed out their podcast app, but recently, the app stopped sending my daily 7:30am notification of new episodes. None of my settings have changed. It just abruptly stopped. I can go to the "New Episodes" list, but the notification list was much more helpful with adding episodes to my playlist because the new episodes would disappear after I perused them. In the "New Episodes" list, there isn't an option to check them off/remove them to prevent confusion.

I love this app! I'm very pleased with the smooth transition from Google Podcasts, I was able to add all my podcasts. The only problem I ran into was duplicates added, which doesn't seem like such a bad thing, except I still haven't figured out yet how to erase them💬🤔 I love how much more P.A. has than G.P. had. It has podcasts, radio, & audiobooks! My favorite feature is the ⏰(sleep/snooze) button that let's you lock your phone and listen to your podcast without turning off!

Buggy, and doesn't keep track of what you listened to. I've had this app for many many years, and it's always been okay, but not that great. The UI is not very good, and feels like a developer made it, and not someone who understands thoughtful user experience. The sleep timer apparently doesn't keep track of what you've listened to, or where you've left off. There are a bunch of podcasts that I've started re-listening to, because they weren't marked as listened to or where I left off.

I don't know what the heck is going on with this app but it keeps pausing and won't restart until I hit "play" from the app. This happens with various headphones. It was working completely fine for literal years, but over the last few days it has been a huge pain in the butt to use. Will revert my review back to a 5 star once it's updated/fixed but right now I can't recommend this app at all.

Great podcast player! The coder has made lots of improvements in the past few years. I was happy with it even before those improvements were made. Maybe improvements take advantage of features that may only be available on newer phones. I keep my phones for a few years each, so those improvements may not be apparent to me. Like I said, great app!

Came over after Google shut down their podcast app. Spotify wasn't working well, YouTube was annoying. This app does a great job on the other hand. Doesn't play new to old, and lets me mark as played in bulk, which is really handy when moving from a previous app. Also like getting notified about new episodes. The ads aren't intrusive. All in all, great job.
