Great improvement to quality of life since the ability to join remote raid lobbies. Really helpful to those that don't live in the city. IV rater is great. Don't use any of the other options so I can't rate those. Great app. I'm hopeful that they'll add new features in the future. Would be nice to remote raid without remote passes though, would have been great during the year long lockdown, but that's Niantic refusal to help players.

I think it does a great job evaluating the pokemon, but as soon as I put it on my phone, (Galaxy S10) it started crashing. It didn't matter if it was in use, my phone would freeze and turn off. When I'm using Poke Genie, I can evaluate 3 or 4 then it freezes my whole phone. I get a black screen and have to do a soft reboot to restart my phone. The moment I took it off, my phone started performing normal again.

Great app. Easy to use, intuitive, and useful. The name generator is a fantastic addition and is super customizable. However, I have been encountering an occasional major issue where sometimes when I hit the overlay button to rate a mon, it force restarts my phone. I'm using an LG Stylo 2 plus. Any help with the issue would be appreciated. Resolve this and this, app gets the 5 stars it deserves.

Has been a great app/tool for it's intended purpose. Very helpful. Rated 4* bc 3-4 times in a 6 month stretch the app will turn my screen black and freeze. Not allow me to do anything or restart my phone, answer calls, just nothing. A couple times it took about 30 minutes before the black screen went away but 1 time I had to wait for my phone to die. So I actually uninstalled for a while. But have given it another chance.

Love the different features. Wish it didn't crash/stop working so often. I'll appraise maybe 3 pokemon, then the app overlay button will disappear, and I'll have to go back to the app and start it again (which, if it takes too long, means I have to reload Pokemon Go). Crashing seems to be more frequent when I'm taking pokemon pictures or on some other action screen.

Working exactly as intended. The overlay button to access the tool is simple and moveable. So far the scanning feature works great except for larger pokemon that obscure the CO value, but you are quickly prompted to correct it. Narrowing down possible IVs is simple and overall, the tools available are great. The built in ads are not too obtrusive and were this a paid app, I would definitely buy it.

Scanning, tracking of Pokemon storage, and the battle simulator are good. One thing irks me a little. Never completely keeps track of all Pokemon scanned. Generally it loses track of about 2 (varies). It's not me, as I've checked again and again in the past. Recently was clearing out extra Torchic and was short 2. Found the 2 and scanned again, and was still short 2. Seems to randomly delete scans once in a while. Also sometimes creates duplicate scans if scanned again later on.

App is absolutely wonderful. However, the cost for the pro version+no ads is a bit steep. Never noticed any ads already, but it would be great to be able to watch an ad for extra limited use of certain features. And then the price for everything in the raid shop is ridiculously expensive too(especially considering you'd already be paying in-game for remote raid passes on top of it). I'd give 5* in a heartbeat if there wasn't such a large paywall involved.

I love this app, and the new name generator is amazing. I give 4 stars because I think it could be improved slightly! When there are multiple IV possibilities, if the avg IV is the same, it should pick any possible atk/def/hp combo since they all equal the same avg IV anyways. Ex: 2 possible combos that equal 87, pick either one. To further improve the feature, you could add an option to go with the highest or lowest possible avg if within a certain range. Example: if range is within 5 (68-73), give me the option to list the highest or lowest possibility (i.e. if lowest, list the combo that corresponds to 68). Otherwise, just name it the avg or range w/o specific spec or whatever . I could choose what the range is and whether to default to highest or lowest combo. I just feel like the name generator is flawed by the fact that a large portion of encounters have multiple possible iv's. Otherwise, amazing app.

It is really decent, however, twice now while scanning a pokemon, it freezes my entire phone and "shoves" all of the screen into a 20px line at the top of the screen and the only fix is a hard reset (power button + volume down button). The guy at the phone store suggested not using this app anymore. I love the app, so fix this issue and you will get 5 stars, but every time from now on that it does it, the rating will drop until it's 1 star and I delete the app.

Definitely a useful app, BUT... Using Android Pie (Pixel 2), the overlay seems to keep closing for no reason. I've given it the permission to display over apps. The issue persists even in manual/screenshot mode. =( I don't know if there's any way to find a crash log? Anyway, it just takes a bit longer to catalog all my 'mon since I have to constantly switch back to Poke Genie and re-enable the overlay. (Edited to correct the Android version)

The naming feature will not work on my screen. I have a Google Pixel 2 (not xl) and apparently my screen in not large enough to click on name edit while the calculation screen is open. If it weren't for this and repeated crashes I would give the app a 5 star rating. In response to developer notes below. I have tried this repeatedly, even before you suggested. No, its not user error. Have had my husband and sister try to help me as well.

Fantastic idea, and implementation. Button does everything you want, down to having additional options when you hold down the button. Never too many buttom presses to reach a desired option. This is beautiful UI design in app and especially in the overlay My only complaint the complete disregard for the built in back button when using the overlay. Once I've scanned a pokemon, I can't just tap the back button to escape the overlay

Very useful app, used hundreds of times. Best on androids because of the app overlay. Has improved gameplay. Minor/Major problem, sometimes when using this for extended periods of time my entire phone willl reset as in my phone will shut down and restart. Not really a big issue for me it just wastes a bit of time. May be a bug or something on my end. 4 stars

The app works 98% of the time. The other 2% I have problems with the overlay vanishing and I have to restart my phone before it works properly again. I believe this is due to my ram being to high but it rarely happens so it does not effect my rating of the app. Overall my favorite aspect of Poke Genie is the various tools you can use. Whether you need a scanner, name generator, battle simulator and etc, you can find it all here. Since discovering this app I have had a better time playing PoGo.

I give it file and overlay permissions, but I can't click the "start now" link in the pop-up. check box and cancel work. Updated: I updated this to a 4 because it works great now. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to show you the history of what you have instantly in the appraisal window. I think CalcIV does it, which is great. instantly lets you know if you want to transfer a high IV pokemon.

I use this app regularly. It is very helpful in preparing teams for the PVP battles. Recently, however, the button icon disappears immediately as do the results. This limits the usefulness of the app as I constantly have to reopen it. This is a new problem for me and I hope that the issue will be resolved. Update: Now I believe this may have been cause by my old phone! App has been working really well since I upgraded.

This app has tons of things going for it. First off, I haven't gotten a single ad except banners, unlike most apps where every click brings a fullscreen one. Second, the "basic" version actually has useful content. And if you buy even the cheapest subscription, it's reasonable and gives weather boost preference. Third, the "non-raid" features (i.e type effectiveness) can be used offline. My only gripe is that there are troll lobbies, but you can report to penalize them. Overall, great app. 4.5 ★

Been using this app since 2019, the scan backup/restore function, along the raid/battle stats, make Pokemon Go a lot more understandable to play and collect. I made a mistake in thinking my previous 2019 premium upgrades were lost, but the developer provided a quick response to inform me my previous upgrades were still present, but just not visible. If possible, it could be useful to have some sort of way to display previously paid or currently active upgrades, so we know they are working.

It's a bit spotty. Takes a really long time to launch, and stops working arbitrarily. Can't identify some Pokemon. UPDATE: I deleted all the pokemon entries and now it works much faster. Edit: Keep getting "scan failed." I tried reinstalling it, but it still won't work. UPDATE: I found and disabled the "dim" feature, and it still doesn't work. I even bumped the brightness up to max. Edit: It's getting harder and harder to use. I may have to uninstall it soon.
