Makes it easy to keep a journal of the trip and share with friends and family. Recommended to friends, it is a good way to share vacations with as many people as wanted with only one entry. And when all is done you can order a book. Last time I used the app it was not way to edit the book. That is important. Have been using it a good number of years and still love it.

i love this app! couple thoughts:. it would be great if you added a feature to drop a "waypoint". it's not actually a step that you document but it does you to more accurately Mark a path. the second option would be to make points on the journey moveable. sometimes the app puts a point thats not accurate. would love the oportunuty to move it.

As a truck driver I'd love it if app used the red dots for places that I stopped for more than fifteen minutes so. I also often go back on same roads and maybe a different color to show one has traversed a certain road a second time would be a good addition. With my time constraints the automatic red dot for stops would be awesome even if I have to enter the cities initially. I do however still really like the app. It works great!

This has been such a fun app to use on our cross country road trip! It tracks our location and we can easily go back to where we were at a given time and add pictures and captions about what we were doing. Then we can link it to Facebook or send our progress via messenger to family and friends. When we return we can order a book of our pictures and narratives so we have a memory book of our vacation. I am very pleased with this app!

This is a really lovely travel *journal* - emphasis bc it really should have "Travel Journal" as the main descriptor rather than "Travel Planner." That seems more of the intended purpose but it's not what I expected when I saw "travel planner." I'm keeping the app to document my trip but as far as I can tell you can't even add a specific address as a destination, just a town. That's certainly not a planner. If the option is there it's not intuitive bc I spent 15 minutes looking.

This is a great app for sharing travel experiences and pictures with friends and family. It is much easier to create and maintain, and more real time, than a travel blog. The gps tracking adds a map dimension that is easy and informative. I recommend it to many friends and fellow travelers...and they all love it. I had a book printed for one trip. It came in a hardcover book printed on high quality paper. Well worth the money. Also like that I don't get a lot of junk mail from the producers.

I love Polarsteps! It's a great way to keep track of where I've gone and show my friends and family. It's also a good way for my mom to know where exactly I am in the world as I travel solo. The battery drain is minimal, adding pictures is easy, and adding steps after the fact if there isn't a pin exactly where you want one is simple and smooth. Highly recommend!

Still learning the app, but I like what I see so far. I travel a lot, so this is like a digital journal for me as well. Update: After a month of usage, I love this app. Not only does it create a super cool map of all my travel, but it pull in my pictures and organizes them by location. For years I've taken pictures but not organized them. I'm so happy that I stumbled upon this app.

Great idea. Almost nailed it. The app does everything you could hope for then randomly loses 1,2,...7 days of travel. I've been using it for almost 6 months and it's lost legs of my journey from all different parts of the world. Really a shame. When it works, I love it. Disappointing a small hiccup takes so much away.

I like the app, particularly the ease of adding photos and zooming in to see your path. Unless I'm doing something wrong, I have two suggestions. Add the abilities to comment on individual photos and to add a step and photos without internet access (to be uploaded later). When I try to add a step without access, the app tries to download a location name (rather than simply recording the coordinates). When it can't, it won't let me proceed. I add a step later by tapping a point on the path.

Very cool app, exactly what I was looking for! The only thing it's missing is the ability to have a collaborative trip, where you can add other people to it, and you can all add pictures and notes to the trip! Like a shared album. - that would be next level!

This is a great app for tracking travel and keeping a travel diary. A few things that would make it better: captions on photos, preserve local time for steps, make it easier to edit waypoints. I use this to share my travels with friends, and an interesting experience occurred when I traveled to Norway and a friend was in Peru at the same time. Our travel stories intersected in an unexpected way! Would never have realized it without this app!

This app does what we need - let's us share updates with selected family, so they know where we are while traveling. It also kind of does what we want, which is to let us journal about our travel, and attach pictures, so we have a record of where we've been. I say kind of because the mechanism for plotting out our route seems to be thrown by things like taking any kind of transportation other than car or plane to go somewhere. Our first leg was a cruise - it tried to add multiple stops.

I like the interface of this app better than that of FindPenguins. However, unlike the other app just mentioned, Polarsteps doesn't seem to use Google Maps for finding places, and I've had issues a few times trying to find certain landmarks and castles in Germany.

I am unable to find the country of Cypress that I will be visiting next month. As a travel app at the very least make sure to include all 194 Auan sanctioned countries to your app. Also there should be a easier way to add past countries visited instead of creating a trip for each. Have been to 101nand all seven continents. Guess how much time it will take to add all these trips Take a look at countries been app and use that as a way to add countries visited.

A great way to be able to share and communicate with your multiple friends about your adventures without having to repeat it to each one. A great time saver, easy to use and download photos and videos too! It would only be better if there was a way to caption the pictures.

It's good in many ways, a way to combine pictures and experiences. Friends have been confused though, trying to comment though I can't see what they write unless they create an account which makes no sense to people not traveling. That could be made clearer to viewers, thanks!

We have used polar steps on a couple of trips so far. We absolutely love this app! It gives us the ability to Chronicle or trip and include pictures as well as what's going on on our trip. It also gives us the ability to let our friends follow us on the trip without making it public for everyone to see. It's like having your friends come with you on the trip without the expense!

I just received my first travel book from Polarsteps, and I LOVE IT. The book is amazing. Photo quality makes my old phone look like I took pictures with an expensive camera. The book itself is beautiful. I am so pleased with the finished product. No more handwritten travel journals. Polarsteps will be my travel record for all my future trips.

This is an amazing app, and I highly encourage everyone to get it for their next experience. I went on a 3 month long sabbatical, and instead of individually updating all of my family and friends, I sent all of them the link to my polarsteps trip to follow along. Everyone loved it. One feature I want is to be able to toggle between local time for the trip and current location when reading and when adding new steps.
